This is a somewhat embarrassing question, but I really need to amp up my fire resistance and I'm not sure how to most effectively go about it.
I have finally entered Rune Prana, after an insanely long period of the event not activating. I had been using Object X's as thrown weapons to level enough to survive in the Sharance Maze, so I didn't get in until I was over level 180. It was for this reason that I expected no trouble, and found none until I entered the fire cave. Not all of it, mind you, just the room that spews fire.
The fire is almost an insta-kill. I looked up videos, hoping that there was some trick to it, but he just charged right on through, despite seeming to be much lower level. I tried drinking the Prelude to Love that I had with the seemingly impressive 69% Fire Res, but this had no visible effect.
So I need your help. How can I survive these flames? Is it a matter of Fire Resistance? Why am I so vulnerable in the first place? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

It seems that my current issue has been more or less resolved, for the time being. Feel free to delete this thread, if that's how such things are handled.
