A small wooden desk of sorts stands out on a side road, a blue cloth thrown over its small frame. On top of that, are bowls and containers of all sorts filled with beautiful fresh fruit.

A single Gehaka sat behind the stand dozing. He was quiet old in age, his hair white and in strands more than locks, not really paying attention to anything going on around him.

Above the stand, was a deeper blud cloth, shading the customers and shop keeper from the sun.

The side road that the stand is one, is all houses on both sides, and rather clean for a side road. And while the shop is here, it can be seen from the main road.

Slowly a young Gehaka made his way to the fruit stand. His mother, the keeper of several husbands who worked the farm she owned, had given her only son a little amount of money to get a piece of fruit after his work was done. She knew how much the boy loved fruit, it was a joy to him.

The raven haired Gehaka leaned over the wares, even as the older shop keeper kept snoring. His blue eyes scanned it all, and his ears flickered, trying to figure out which piece he wanted. They all seemed so good!!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Enju was tired of all the hustle and bustle going around in his shop and had left to take a relaxing stroll. One wouldn't think there'd be a lot of action in a flower shop but their was. Clipping and trimming and primping and arranging. It was also a bit boring for Enju if he wasn't planting or caring for his growing flowers in the garden in the back.

He had taken a stroll behind his garden and onto a side street were Gehaka were sparse. The rich blue cloth caught his eye and he slowly appraoched it, cocking his head as he examined the little stand he hadn't seen before. Hm, a fruit stand? Charming. Maybe they had those imported fruits, like pineapple or coconut, his eyes roving over the selection, not noticing the other Gehaka just yet.

The raven haird Gehaka looked over the selction once again. Why was it always so hard to choose? He could get another one the next day, as the money his mother gave him always renewed itself after a hard day's work. He tapped a finger on his chin, still a little red from falling face first on the ground the day before.

Finally, Sada spoke up to the shop keeper.

"Sir? Sir... excuse me?" His voice was quiet, and soft. The Gehaka hadn't spoken much in his life, and when he did it was always with his peaceful voice, soothing almost everyone around him. "Sir?" He had yet to notice the other either, so intent on buying the fruit of the day, a bright red apple.

Poor old man, didn't he know his food could be easily stolen if he slept like that? He could even lose business which was close to happening right now. Fortunately for him, he decided to take matters into his own hands and slid out money, placing it in front of the man before snatching an apple. He needed something sweet and simple right now. His eyes glanced over to the other soft toned Gehaka and his took a bite of his apple, leaning against the stand.

"You might just want to pay him and let him sleep. He looks like he needs some rest."

The other Gehaka almost jumped out of his tanned skin when the other spoke up. He was shocked to find he wasn't the only customer. He smiled softly though, placing his own money next to the other's and picking up a similar apple.

"He's not always asleep, just yesterday he tried to tell me how he got a battle wound protecting his husband, even though he was a fifth husband himself...or something of the sort." Slowly, the raven haired Gehaka bit into the apple, savoring the sweet taste.

"Aah, seems like a nice man."

He chuckled to himself, turning to lean his back on the stand. He tried to look like he was minding his own business, not wanting to come off as prying or annoyingly talkative. Which was what he was.

"Yes...well... I see him often enough, but he never remembers me," Yori chuckled slightly, then once again dug his teeth into the apple. Ah, how he loved the sweetness of the apple. It showed all too well on the soft spoken gehaka's face. "I am Yori Sada, may I ask what your name is?" He smiled softly, trying to be nice and polite.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Enju turned to Sada inquisitivly and smiled. He held up a finger while he swallowed the bite of apple before grinning sheepishly and offering his hand/

"I'm Arehoudai Enju. A pleasure to meet you."

He was a naturally friendly Gehaka even though he did have his violent little secrets. He smiled good naturedly, stretching a wing nonchalantly, a habit he'd picked up and did whenever he met someone new.

Sada shook the other's hand with a tilted head. He was unuse to that gesture, but smiled anyways.

"Its nice to meet you Arehoudai-san." He nodded slightly, and bit out more apple. His mother was not expecting him for awhile, so he could stay and talk until the sun began to set. Then he would have to book it home for dinner, and house chores.

User Image It was a lovely, supposedly peaceful day today, or so it had been until Hachiro had gone home. He and his mother had gotten into a spat, and while that was rare in itself, it had been to the point where Hachiro had been struck several times. Fearing that he might do something rash, (his tall, broad build was reason enough to be intimidated of him) the Gehaka had left, attempting to calm himself down while he wandered the streets. Eventually, he had wound up on one particular street that contained a fruit stand, something that Hachiro was quick to notice. A low, deep sigh was released from his lungs, and the Gehaka stretched his powerful wings slightly, feeling the first stabs of guilt. He shouldn't have lost his temper with his mother, no matter how witchy he got.

Slowly, the half-naked Gehaka moved down the street, pausing in front of the fruit stand to run his bright eyes over the wares...they all looked very fresh. Perhaps if he bought some fruit as a sign of apology, his mother would forgive him.

User Image"Grapes, peaches, plums," Amanohara Seichou recited the list to himself, ticking them off on his long charcoal-stained fingers, "and what was the fourth one?" His mother had sent him out to find four fruits for a salad, and he jingled the coins in his pouch as if that would remind him. "Plums and what?" He was mumbling under his breath, slightly panicked. Amanohara Ni, his mother, would be highly displeased if he had forgotten. "Pears? Apples? Pomegranates?" That wasn't it. The artist was in quite a predicament. He thought his mother probably sent him on errands on purpose -- he did seem to relish punishing Seichou some days.

Sada whirled, facing the other Gehaka who had wandered down the street to the stand. His ears caught another, talking to himself. Normaly the stand was quiet, and almsot bare of customers, now there seemed to be more than ever at once, even if there was only four. The old man was still dead alseep, as if it was the middle of the night already.

"Hello, if you just leave your money up there, and take the fruit, it should be alright," his voice was quiet, but his eyes kind as he spoke.

User Image"But I can't remember what the fourth fruit was," Seichou said, trying not to panic any worse than he already was. His wings fidgeted at his back and he frowned nervously. "Grapes, peaches, plums... and one more thing..." He bit his lip fretfully, looking up at the other.

"Erm... well...I... hrmmm," Sada fumbled through his words before listing off a few fruits he knew. "Apples, grapes, mellons, grape fruit, pinapple..." he lost the train of thought and laughed nervously. "I'm sorry, I can't think of anything else."
