Another night, another name, another chance to learn - and to grow stronger. Amphitrite fidgeted with the edges of her hair as she stood beneath a lamp post, the designated corner of their meeting place. You'd think the constant stream of people she was meeting lately would be exhausting, but it wasn't - she liked being busy, and she really enjoyed getting to meet new people on her side.
Had she really been helpful yet? Not especially what with the arm, now healed, and the training that she badly needed - the fact that they hadn't written her off yet though, it was making her feel like she was worth this time and energy. No, more specifically, she would make herself worth their effort.
So, she waited, wondering what lessons the night might bring her.
AMItotic Hope this works for you~~ biggrin

Zircon couldn't say she was entirely thrilled with her newest assignment. The Negaverse was no place for a senshi. They fought senshi, it was a core tenet of their mission and goals, and things had never been the same after sympathizers had begun to add them more liberally to their ranks. It made for a loss of cohesion and purpose in their ranks, and it muddied their purpose and their sympathies.
Nevertheless, orders were orders, and Zircon made sure to be punctual, even if she was less than enthused. From one of the nearby rooftops the captain leapt, landing on the sidewalk softly a few paces away from the new corrupt. She straightened her posture as she stared down Amphitrite, looking for signs of weakness in the senshi's baby blues.
"I am Captain Zircon," she finally spoke, nodding her head once solemnly. "You'll be training with me tonight."frayed flower I'm so sorry this was over a month late orz

One day, Amphitrite thought to herself as Zircon nailed her landing on the sidewalk, she was going to master the art of the dramatic entrance. But that definately wasn't the reason she was here tonight, and she was going to be respectful and serious as could be.
"Captain Zircon, " she echoed the name like she had some others before her, bowing her head in a polite way. Maybe also a little submissively - Amphitrite knew she needed guidance, and she also needed those she was training under to know she knew her place here and that she was damn grateful for it. "Thank you for taking the time for work with me. - I promise you it won't be time wasted."

Deference was the response Zircon had been looking for, but she nevertheless gave Amphitrite an impassive look, crossing her arms. "We'll see about that," Zircon responded, perhaps giving the basic senshi a cursory glance down her entire body, as if to size her up.
"So tell me, Amphitrite," Zircon began, walking slowly around the basic senshi. "What makes you valuable to the Negaverse? What is it you'd like to learn?" Simple enough questions, and yet so terribly loaded with traps. Amphitrite sounded like it should have been a Negaverse name, and yet there was no lieutenant before her, just a frightened senshi who'd had enough sense not to shy away from Laurelite's gracious hand. This girl hadn't earned her rank the way the rest of them had, it had been gift-wrapped and given sweetly, a mercy that was turning the Negaverse to rot. If Amphitrite was going to succeed under Zircon's thumb, she would need to prove herself, and do it now.

It wouldn't be the first time Amphitrite was critically sized up, and she knew it wouldn't be the last. She just held herself a little taller, showing herself for who she was. "My value is my resilience, my determination, and my loyalty, " and this was something she was able to say with a note of pride that had once been so lacking in her life.
But she wasn't overzealous, either. "I am not strong yet. But I will be, with your help and others." Granted, Amphitrite was worse than Zircon gave her credit for. She had shied away from Laurelite's hand - she had cried and clawed and screamed and sobbed for mercy. But that was another lifetime, like a dream before she'd opened her eyes.
For what she wanted - well, she had an answer ready for that, a conclusion she had come to on her own. "I want to learn to be strong - I want to learn anything and everything I can for the Negaverse." And for Laurelite most of all.
