IC
Aseara had been training for weeks now, finally in Oba and already getting acclimated to the flow of the club. Men came to see all of the exotic dancers, though Aseara seemed to be stealing the spotlight on more than a few occassions. That was, at least, before the Afsana, the owner of the club, had found a new addition.
She seemed to have shown up out of nowhere, but she was trained well and stunningly beautiful. The new leaf/ice hybrid was beyond rare for Oba and Afsana saw the potential in the girl, spending more and more time with her. With less training with Afsana, and more free time on her hands, Aseara was finding herself with other problems to attend to.
Quest Tasks ||. Afsana has found a new dancer to put her time and effort into. ||. The quest should start with Aseara's feelings on being gently pushed to the side for the new club member. ||. With Afsana putting the new girl through training, it leaves Aseara with more time on her hands. ||. One of the younger, more handsome patrons notices this and is now in pursuit of Aseara. ||. He is pushy and feels the need to conquer this foreign beauty. ||. Afsana has made her rules on being wooed over by Oban patrons clear already. ||. Aseara must find a way to dissuade his advances and get him to stop pestering her, lest Afsana notice his rather obvious advances and get the wrong idea.

P A R T . O N E The New Girl
“Aseara!” Came the shrill voice at her door before a girl burst in all excited. The Wind girl turned from her mirror just in time as the girl grappled her. “Have you heard?”
“No, what’s wrong?”
“Afsana is back and she’s got a new girl with her.” Aseara wasn’t sure why she was so excited, new girls always came in. "Come see! She’s so beautiful everyone is saying she’s going to be the next big thing. Might even steal your spotlight!” The girl grabbed onto Aseara’s arm and pulled her along out of the room and down the hall where a few other excited girls passed by. Everyone was buzzing with excitement about this new girl it seemed. The Wind girl would only believe it when she saw the girl perform with her own two eyes.
As they rounded the corner Aseara spotted a bunch of other girls creeping into a room. All hushed and piled onto one another to get a view at the new girl. When they spotted the Wind girl however, they all removed themselves as if burned and gave her awkward looks. She narrowed her blue eyes at them, Afsana would never replace her. She’d put in too much time, she had connections now. She was starting to be someone! We’re they expecting her to throw a fit like they did when she’d stolen the show from the other dancers? She figured they did.
In her opinion it was silly, Aseara wasn’t jealous but she found her heartbeat increasing as she advanced on the crack to see inside. All eyes focused on her as she bent down, placed both hands on the wall and finally looked inside. She looked to be of leaf and ice origins and indeed quite beautiful. But a pretty face wasn’t enough to survive out here, you also had to be good at what you did. Reluctantly the Wind girl had to admit she was good, and grudgingly admitted maybe slightly even better than her. Aseara pushed herself away from the hole in the wall and turned towards the other girls.
“Just because she’s good and pretty doesn’t mean she’ll be able to stay. You all should know better, she needs to be able to keep up with the clients in intellect and have impeccable social skills.”
Her words sounded more like excuses in her ears but it was the truth. Aseara got up and brushed herself off.
“You should all get back to work until Afsana decides to present her.”
And with those final words Aseara hurried back to her room. At first anger gripped her, she didn’t know why but she wanted to throw a fit. Afsana hadn’t replaced her, she was still here. The wind girl tried to rationalize with herself as she paced her room. Afsana had invested too much money into her now and she had great connections with the nobles. Sighing softly, Aseara threw herself onto her bed and stared up at the ceiling. Where had this girl come from? Why was she here specifically? Who had trained her? Those thoughts swirled in her mind as she tried to figure things out.
There was a soft knock on the door and the voice called Aseara down to the main hall of the building. This was it, Afsana was going to announce the other girl otherwise they wouldn’t have been called down. Aseara took a deep breath and left her room to walk alongside the other girls. They had all gathered in the main hall when Afsana came out with the new girl in tow. Aseara took the opportunity to get a good look at her. The girl caught her looking and sent her a wicked smile. Aseara only narrowed her eyes and looked to Afsana as she began to speak.
“Alright girls, gather around. I’d like to present to you Jova, she is a new addition to the dancers. Make her feel at home.” Afsana turned her attention to Aseara. “You’re all dismissed of lessons for the day, Aseara I need to talk to you come see me.”
A few girls turned to look at Aseara as they cleared out the main hall and Aseara approached the duo.
“How can I be of help?”
“I’ll need to work with Jova quite a bit to make sure she is up to date and such. Our lessons, for the time being, are cancelled.”
“But, what will I do? All the other girls have lessons?”
“Figure something out,” Afsana waved her hand to shoo her away. “I don’t have time for this.”
Aseara had never felt so insulted as she did in that moment. Jova must have noticed because she cast a glance back at her again with one of her wicked smiles. The Wind girl inhaled sharply and stomped off towards her room. A few girls spotted her, some had lingered waiting for the news but none dared stop her to ask what had happened as she stomped off. Some had heard that she’d be getting more free time and the news spread like wildfire that Aseara was pushed aside by the new girl because she was a better dancer than her.
She could not believe this! How could Afsana simply cancel their lessons? She needed to be better than her, she wanted no needed, to stay on top for her plans to work. Jova was ruining everything! Aseara made it back to her room and collapsed on her bed and screamed into a pillow so no one could hear her. This was insane. Rolling the Wind girl ended up on her back again and stared at the ceiling as tears started to bubble up at the corners of her eyes. She couldn’t go back. Aseara couldn’t go back home as a failure without having even gotten close to finding out what had happened to her parents.
There was another knock on the door.
“Come in.” Aseara got up and wiped the tears away from her face. It was the girl who had come to get her before. The girl went to settle on the bed next to Aseara.
“You know, a lot of girls would be happy to see you crying over this.”
“I am not crying.”
“Either way, you should consider yourself lucky. You get more free time to do whatever you want. None of us have any.”
“I know but…”
“Listen, you’re still good. You just need to work harder. Use your extra time to chat up some clients; you get to play with the older dancers now who have a bunch of free time on their hands. Don’t be sad.” The girl pat Aseara on the knee and left.
Then it dawned on her. She was right. Only the older dancers who and the occasional dance lesson were able to hang out and talk to the clients. Aseara smiled, she was going to build her connections. She couldn’t rely on just her dancing and beauty anymore, she was going to have to work harder on her social skills. She was okay with that though, it was a bit more work and she was still going to make sure her dancing was on par with Jova. Aseara stealed her heart, she couldn’t be crying now or worry about being replaced.
It was game on.

P A R T . T W O Pay Attention
Even with more free time, Aseara decided she still wanted to be involved with dancing. She joined in on lessons with those who had other instructors, gave lessons where needed and offered help where ever it was asked. It kept her busy for most days but she quickly felt overwhelmed and needing her own kind of time off. She still hadn’t visited the older dancers who kept patrons entertained daily. She didn’t know if she was good enough there. All the big players spent their free time there and none of the younger more junior entertainers could go until they’d passed all their required exams.
Aseara hadn’t passed them all, she was close though. Dancing was not a problem and her etiquette was also quite good. If she stepped into that parlour though there was no going back, she was going to be playing with the big children; those with years of experience were in there. First though she needed to look the part so Aseara decided to change into her finest clothing and look the part. She was there to attract attention even if she was only going to have a look around. Juniors weren’t allowed in there because of the clients.
The hallways where the clients came through were always much more lavish and much better taken care of then the rest of the building. Here no expenses were spared to make the nobles feel like they were each kings and queens. The halls here were quiet except for the soft shuffling of maids or the high pitch laughter of one of the entertainers. Down the hall were the large double wood doors and behind the parlour. Aseara made it to them before standing before them and just staring. She couldn’t go through, she was nervous since this was a big step.
“I didn’t think your class had graduated yet.”
Aseara turned out quickly and upon seeing a noble man quickly bowed before moving out of the way.
“I didn’t see you, I’m sorry.”
The man waved his hand.
“Do not worry about it,” he looked her over. “You’re a dancer, Aseara right?”
“Yes, yes I am.” Aseara had been in a couple performances and excelling in them. Since they were still studying however Afsana didn’t allow them to speak with the customers in case they did or said something they shouldn’t have.
“Would you like to have a drink?”
“Oh, no. No, I wasn’t going in.” She couldn’t go in now.
“Oh please I insist, just one drink.” He put his hand out towards her arm as if to shuffle her in towards the door.
“Maybe just one.” Just one drink would be fine; she knew her limits from drinking with the other girls. She also had no grounds to refuse him and he’d caught her so off guard, she’d come here to begin with, with the intention of striking up a conversation with a patron in the first place hadn’t she? And he was being so nice to her and smiling. Aseara snapped out of the reverie, this was exactly the kind of thing they’d been told to be careful of. Patrons sweeping them off their feet, making promises but simply wanting to conquer what they couldn’t have.
She had to remember Afsana’s warnings, she did not want to leave this place and some young noble was certainly not about to flush her dream away. She had to be on her toes and watch out. As if Jova wasn’t enough of problem now she had to be on her game for this noble who was trying to play her.
Game on.

P A R T . T H R E E I Kissed a Girl And...
All eyes turned to Aseara as they entered the room, if the hallway had been any indication of the interior of this room; it was nothing like it was in here. Everything screamed expensive, luxurious, and amazing. The floor was a sleek black marble as was any surface be it bar or table. The couches, pillows and anything else was a soft rich black velvet as well and everything was trimmed either in gold fabric or actual gold. Some of the older girls that knew Aseara gave her a glance but pretended to ignore her. Some patrons outright stared at her but could not approach since the noble man was quick to be next to her, hand at the small of her back with an air that told them that she was his.
But she was not and she had to make that known.
The Wind girl lifted up her chin and focused her attention on the bar and moved without warning in quick confident strides towards it. The Noble was caught off guard but quickly found pace with her trying to lead her to his side of the bar. Aseara sat where she wanted and not where he was trying to lead her which had been a more private corner. She sat herself down on the bar stool and leaned back to cross her leg over the other.
“My usual and the same for the lady.” The noble motioned for the bartender but Aseara cut him quickly.
“I think I’ll start with water thank you.” He turned to her with a smile.
“You promised me a drink.” Aseara leaned slightly forward and softened her voice.
“I did, but I like to start slow.” She leaned back again and he placed his hand on her knee. Aseara immediately crisped up and gave him a hard smile.
“So tell me, has anyone come forward to offer their patronage to you?” Here it was, he was going to offer to help her out if she… helped him out.
“I am not sure, Afsana hasn’t said anything to me and well I am still taking classes.” The bartender placed both drinks on the bar and Aseara turned towards it so the nobles hand could fall of her knee. She kept both hands on the bar as she grabbed onto her drink.
“Yes I was quite surprised to see you here. I would like to offer you my patronage; I think it could be mutually beneficial for us.” If Aseara told him no now she could lose a potential client, but if she said yes she didn’t know what the implications of that were. Seeing her hesitance, he placed his hand atop of hers and leaned in real close to whisper in her ear.
“We could discuss it in private?” Maybe if they left she could excuse herself before leaving him and pretend she’d been called away for something and have one of the wait staff let him know. Yes this was a good idea, he was coming on way too strong for her likings and she really wasn’t sure she was ready for a patronage.
“Why don’t we step out?” He smiled and moved to help her off the stool and put his hand around her waist as if to claim her as his. They moved to exit to the private rooms but once out in the hall Aseara spotted Afsana who spotted her in turn and came towards the pair. Aseara spotted Jova behind her and frowned though she smoothed her features quickly enough. She couldn’t tell if Afsana was happy or angry to see her.
“Good day Miss Afsana.” Said the noble. She bowed to him with a smile and Jova did the same.
“I hope you are enjoying yourself sir, I was hoping to take Aseara off of your hands.”
“We were going to have a private discussion I would rather not unless it is an emergency.” Afsana glanced at Aseara.
“It would only be for a few moments, I do not wish to trouble you with more.” The noble sighed and released Aseara from his grip. “I will be waiting in the first room.” He left them and entered a room down the hall.
“Aseara, what in the world do you think you are doing? You’re not ready for the big league yet.”
“You gave me some free time, I thought that meant I could venture and see a few patrons.”
“That is not what I meant and you know it.” Afsana sighed loudly. “You remember the rules girl or I will have you out on the street faster than you can blink. Hear me?”
“Yes, of course I would never do anything to compromise myself.”
Afsana gave her a look before turning and leaving, Jova stayed behind though.
“So you’re Aseara huh?” The wind girl turned to the Hybrid and looked her up and down.
“I am.”
“What kind of trouble you in?”
“That’s none of your business.”
“I saw how he was holding you; he say he wanted discuss things in private? Are you sleeping with him?”
“You’re crazy.” Jova laughed sarcastically, Aseara crossed her arms.
“I know when I’m right. I was at another place like this before. Not as much money, I know how these things work. You know what he’s going to ask of you.” Aseara glared at her, she didn’t want to believe it. “He won’t stop you know, he’s going to keep trying and force you. They like knowing they are the first that conquered something and that they’ll be the only ones… You know.” She wiggled her brows.
The door to the room opened and the noble man walked out making his way back towards them. He wanted to conquer her? He wanted to own her? Aseara would not allow it, huffing she turned to Jova. She was not going to offer any of these things to him, she was going to take them away.
“Kiss me.” Aseara said dead serious.
“What?”
Aseara had no time to think; she grabbed onto Jova and pulled her in for a rough kiss. Jova seemed to get the idea though and gripped onto her and pushed her to the wall. The noble made it to them and had to clear his throat a few time before they finally released each other.
“I am sorry," Aseara said quickly turning red. She’d never kissed anyone before but she also didn’t want to end up on the street. “Let me introduce you, this is Jova, my wife and also the newest dancer here. Jova this is Caspar, a noble who wanted to offer me patronage.” Thankfully Jova had caught on and kept a neutral look.
“You’re together?” He asked as he stared at them. Jova answered.
“Yes, I need to go now.” She gave a light tap on Asearas bottom and winked at her. “It was nice meeting you sir.” She walked away and Aseara turned to the noble.
“Shall we go discuss my patronage?” She managed as innocently as she could.
“No, I must leave. I was informed I had a meeting I need to attend to.” He looked perplexed as if he didn’t understand what was going on.
“I hope to see you soon.” Aseara said as he walked away.
“Yes, yes. You and your wife have a lovely day.”
When the noble was out of sight Aseara let go of the breath she’d been holding. What had she just done? Her first kiss and with a woman?! She hoped she wouldn’t be seeing him around. She didn’t want him spreading rumors that she was married to the other patrons or that she was only into woman. The woman patrons were shrewder with their money after all and much rarer. For now though she felt safe. Aseara returned to her room and vowed never to step back into the parlor without having finished all of her training.
