She was tired, both mentally and physically. It was just suppose to be a simple 'Haunted' house party. Some simple fun..Not a real haunted house for spirits sake! Minuette had had a though time as she dealt with a small fae child. She was still clinging to the teddy bear close to her chest, the strange key she was gifted was gripped in her hand. She just felt numb to the world as she climbed the stairs leading up to her burrow in the great tree. She didn't know what to think or do any more. Every step felt heavy as she could shake the deep sadness in her heart.
Minuette snapped back to the world around her as her hoof hit a hard surface just in front of her door. She blinked and looked around for a moment, trying to see if anyone was around. No one. Most of tree was asleep, only a few night owls and guards were around. She looked down to her hooves to see a strange dusty box...Wha?
Minuette stared at the box for a few minutes, almost expecting it to jump up and scare her. Nothing. It seemed strange for it to be here? Was it for her? She couldn't help but sigh. She just wanted to curl up into bed and cry some more, was that too much to ask for? She shuffled the bear under her arm and picked up the box with the other before heading inside.
She set the box down on her bed and once again simply stared at it before looking at her key. Well, she had no clue what else she could use it on so what was there to do? She put the key in the locket with out a thought. Maybe it was from seeing all the odd stuff that night, or maybe it was because she was still out of it, the fact that the key and the lock disappeared back into the mist...
Minuette slowly opened the box.

She hadn't expected movement from the old dusty box, which was why she screamed when something LEAPED out at her. The fauny fell backwards, her heart was racing. A small, demon like cat leaped from her prison, landing on the floor gracefully before sitting down and licking her arm. Her tail twitched as she finally looked over to the being that had released her. Minuette could swear the strange animal was raising it's brow at her as if to say 'I'm stuck with this?'. Another flick of her tail and a twitch of her wings the candythief made her way onto Minuette's bed, kneading the pillow for a moment before curling up to sleep as if she owned the place.Minuette rubbed her face for a moment before standing back up. What WAS that think? It seemed...Friendly? It was sleeping already? What was it doing in that box? Minuette headed back to the mystery box, maybe there was some sort of note explaining all it? Minuette looked inside and saw what looked like a parchment. Ah, here was the explanation to every!
It explained nothing! Minuette made a face as she looked over the strange symbols on the parchment. She couldn't read them. Maybe some one else in the tree could? She sided and put the paper to the side. There seemed to be more items in the box.
The next two items she pulled out were a beautiful necklace and some sort of candle. Well, they were nice. They still confused the fauny. Who had sent her this? Putting the items by the parchment she noted one last item in the box.
Minuette almost stopped breathing as the plushie came into light. It was dark as the night with soft spots. Dark blue eyes and some sort of green gemed crown on it's head, though Minuette wasn't paying much attention to how it looked. She was looked at what it was...The fairy wings on the back. Minuette could feel a rush of emotions flow into her as she spotted the soft wing. She put her forhead to the head of the plushie, tears started to flow from her eyes. "Calima..." The fauny softly whisper to herself as she curled up at the foot of the bed. She just...Couldn't deal with anything fae like right now. Not after what she had gone through. She could almost feel her heart brake again.
With the tears flowing down her face she closed her eyes, hugging the fae plushie close to herself for some small comfort. She waited for sleep to finally take her to end the long night.
