Saiya 'Joker' Card

User Image

This day was just too exhausting. This was the thought of a black haired figure who is taking a peaceful walk along the pond. The exhaustion could not be helped. Especially when assassinating a former business partner of the Card Family. Well after that person's embezzlement attempt they are no longer a business partner. Gazing at the sunset with sad eyes, Saiya sighed as she had stopped along the pond edge. So many people of every race allowing themselves become corrupted. Even with money and power is involved. This world is like an repetitive cycle to her. But at least Devian was able to track the traitor. The moron thought he had escaped from his fate. "While thinking of the 'King of Diamon' I need to text him." The words were softly muttured as she reached in to her black purse and took out her smart phone.

After entering her pass code to log into her phone, Saiya searched through her contact list and found the brother she is looking for. She tapped on the text message icon and typed in. "Mission complete and made it safely to Ashhaven Academy." Of course the last part she had to add since he tend to be a worry wort when it comes to his siblings. That includes her as well.

The walk was short and brisk. The weather was lovely. His clothing was... slightly out of place, to say the least. However; Yukina didn't particularly care. He walked with hands in his pockets, hair perfectly styled. As he walked, he noticed some people wearing similar clothing. Formal, cocktail-like. It was only until he began to leave the grounds and walk towards the park that the number of students dressed nicely began to dwindle. Again, not that he minded. Kou was comfortable in his own body. He'd been alive far too long to not be. The park was very beautiful. The trees cast shadows upon the grass, leaves speckled with rays of sunshine. There were sounds of animals all around. Ducks quacking in a nearby pond, the low pitch of the adults, the high pitch of the children. Birds were singing, tweeting chirping. Squirrels enjoyed bathing in the beams, accustomed to the presence of humans.

Though, such an occurrence wasn't quite presence here. The park looked almost deserted, save for a single, finely dressed woman. She clasped a black purse and donned a violet colored dressed that brought out the tint of her eyes. She looked very personable, texting away, a concentrated look on her face. When he'd arrived, he noticed his surrounding area before he caught her scent among the widening breeze. An unmistakable scent. One he'd smelled many times. The bloodsuckers. Kyuuketsuki. They were supposedly creatures of the night, undead beings present in folklore all around the world taking the form of humans and survive by sucking on the blood of living people, especially at night. Yukina's first encounter with a kyuuketsuki was shortly after he had been reborn as an onryo. She was a small Japanese woman with a strange scent to her. She reeked of blood, always. It was only when Kou caught her during the night killing men that he'd realized what she was. It came as no surprise to him; the image of the woman's visceral drinking brought back memories of his death. He was still learning to cope with it, and ended up killing her.

It turned out even vampires weren't immune to the fatal cuts of his blade. Samurai were trained to kill. That power didn't extend to only humans; death could be given to any person, regardless of specie. This thought resurfaced as Yukina looked at the girl, though it wasn't in negativity. He enjoyed her scent. It was clean and proper. However, her air was of different mood. It seemed heavy and almost vengeful. As if she felt guilt for something; as if she felt worried. Perhaps even remorse? Yukina couldn't tell.

The man decided whether or not to keep to himself or greet her. Being dressed so nicely, it was clear to him that she must have also attended Ashhaven, and was prepared for the banquet as well. Yukina hummed silently in question. Deciding he would gain nothing from a lack of ventures, he spoke up, taking a place beside her, though maintaining considerable distance.

"It's days like these that make a person smile indefinitely. So peaceful and beautiful. Reminds me of all the reasons one has to smile," Yukina cocked his head slightly to the left as he stared off at the distant sun. He looked to the girl and offered and charming smile and friendly bow. "How do you do. My name is Yukina Kou, professor of anthropology at Ashhaven Academy. You look quite lovely, miss. I trust you're attending the school's banquet as well?"

Saiya 'Joker' Card

User Image

The voice of a man had snapped her out of her daze. It made Saiya quickly put her phone away as she turned to the one who spoke to her. A gentle smile formed upon her lips as she turned to fully face him. Ah the way he bowed to her gave her a hint that he may also be from Japan. But there is only way to find out. Saiya bowed to him very gracefully like someone who is native to Japan. Her voice held a soft gentle tone to it as she had spoke. "That is true. As long as one does not have reasons to frown. Sunset like this one is rather worth smiling about." Her crimson eyes turned to gaze upon the setting sun.

When she had spoken again, it was to answer his question. "Yes I am. My name is Saiya Card. I am a sophomore in high school." When the vampire had turned again to look at him, a friendly smile now replaced the warm one she had given him previously. "It's a pleasure to meet you Professor Yukina Kou."

"That is true. As long as one does not have reasons to frown. Sunset like this one is rather worth smiling about."

Yukina's eyes widened in pleasant surprise when she offered him a very warm Japanese-like bow. She was soft-spoken as well. It made him smile, how she went about concurring with his words.

"Yes I am. My name is Saiya Card. I am a sophomore in high school."

Saiya. If she truly was Japanese, it was an unusual name. He was so used to Saya that he'd almost thought her name that. Yukina would have to remind himself to add in the extra syllable as not to be rude. Another glanze at her face and stature confirmed that a high school sophomore was certainly plausible. She seemed quite mature, though Yukina wasn't one to make assumptions based upon appearance. Her friendly smile and demeanor was enough to make anyone open up to her. From the surface, Saiya seemed very pleasant. Yukina hadn't known her long enough to distinguish it from a rouse or play. Still, he remained kind.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Professor Yukina Kou."

Kou smiled and bowed to her once more, hands gently going into his pocket. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Saiya Card. What brings you to Ashhaven, if I might ask?" His traveling and studies had brought him to teach here. To spread the words of goodwill to youth in order to make them better people. To learn from his past, make up for his wrongdoings. However, Yukina was a grown man. He seriously doubted his reason for coming to this school would be like anyone else's, especially considering his past and lifestyle. However, he kept an open mind.

Ashhaven was made out to be an excellent school. He had seen the students at the front gate, chatting along without a care in the world. As far as student were concerned, there was nothing to be concerned about yet. They were friendly. They seemed to know their etiquiette. Only time would tell more, and Yukina couldn't help but admit he was also slightly excited to observe students at the banquet, as well. Putting people in an environment they were not used to, or in which they were assimilated into certain conditions brought out certain personality traits. Yukina was interested to see them.

He began to wonder if this stranger, Ms. Saiya Card, would act any differently within an enclosed, large ballroom. Would she become more reserved? Branch out and speak with people she knew well? Oh, how people could be fascinating. It was one of the reasons Yukina loved anthropology so. How would this vampire interact with other specie?

Saiya 'Joker' Card

User Image

Saiya can tell he was trying to figure her out at this point. But it doesn't break falter to her behavior. Or rather the behavior she performs when she doesn't want anyone to know her true personality. She can even sense him trying to figure if her name is Japanese or not. To answer his curiosity she gazed at the sparkling surface of the pond. "Saiya is a Japanese name. Derived from the name 'Saya'. However my parent want it to be...unique and so they had added an 'i' into it."

She is not going to disagree on that fact she was more mature for her age. But then again, the age she appear to be is not of her true age. Of course she would make him or anyone feel pleasant being around her. It was what she do after all. Her demeanor will not change as long as the other person is not her foe. "Before you ask, my orginal birth area is the city that is now known as Shibuya."" She found it odd to be revealing this much information about herself. But he is a fellow Japanese. The least she could do was name which part of Japan she is from.

Saiya had discovered she was off track of the conversation and gave a small smile. "Ah it seems like I am getting ahead of myself..." She thought of his question and of a way to answer it. "Well, my father of course wants me to come here to learn more about the business world and politics. He thought the best school to offer that is Ashhaven."
