Sailor Elpis was not going to quit patrolling with how active things seemed lately, and the Senshi of Metal walked across roofs, jumping between each occasionally as she watched around and below, expression serious as she moved. There were many things to watch for - bizzarre senshi wityh holes in their head and chest that looked like failed Dark Mirror Senshi, Nega soldiers proper, and of course common jumpy cops or similar, and youma, and all of these were hazards. Still, Elpis didn't fault the population if they thought she was horrid, but at the same time she didn't want to be vilified. But for now, it was time to play it safe, ignore a few interesting bruises most of her fuku covered up, and to continue her patrol, vigilant for signs of abnormal activity as she began quietly humming to herself.

Sinistra was not really sure what she was doing. Literally. She was standing on the street in the middle of the night, in a strange little dress with a witch's hat on her head, and looking around and trying to just... start.
She knew the basics. She was something called a senshi. She was supposed to protect people. She wanted to try, because it seemed important but...
This was really not something someone as quiet and bookish as she was should really have to deal with. It did not really seem fair, but she supposed she was good at rolling with the punches in school. This was not... that different... at least, not yet.
There was a lot she still needed to learn.
She felt something very strange and jumped, looking around in wonder. It felt like something was close, but it was not a feeling she had ever experienced before, and she was just not sure how to understand it. Instincts she had never used before told her that someone was coming.
But where? What? Feeling anxious, she scooted closer to the wall of a building, hiding a bit and awkwardly glancing around in an effort to follow the feeling, though she was not skilled enough with it yet to know.

Elpis blinked at a new feeling in her area and paused, tilting her head slowly. It did not feel like Chaos, but closer to Kells, or Helicon, but - not quite, and the Senshi decided to investigate, blinking as she jogged before looking around - and then down. At least the street was empty, and Elpis sighed, walking to climb down a fire escape as she porpusefully made her steps heard as she approached the other senshi, palms visible as she blinked, looking completely concerned. Was she alright? Why was she risking being seen? ....Well, only one way to find out. "Hello!" Elpis said, cheerily. "Are you alright?"

Sinistra felt very strange, but did not really know how to recognize the feeling before she jumped nearly out of her skin at the voice that greeted her. It did not take much effort to actually see the source of it, who was holding up her hands and looking fairly safe in that regard.
"I... uh... yeah, I'm okay. I was just... trying to... uhm. I'm sorry." She bowed her head bashfully, thinking she was doing something wrong.
It wasn't like she knew how any of this worked. Maybe this was not her area and she was not supposed to be powered up here? Maybe this other lady, who seemed to be a senshi just like she was, had dibs on this area and wanted her to leave. Or was just confused why Sinistra was there, breaking all these rules she did not knew existed.
Sinistra was pretty sure she was already a terrible senshi, but she hardly knew what that meant.
"I'm just a little... confused..."

Confused? Elpis' mind suddenly flew to Sailor Ausonia at meeting Julienne and she mentally nodded. She had to be new - or scared by the Negaverse, or both, and Elpis offered a handshake. "Shhh, shhh. It's okay. Relax. I'm a friend. I'm Sailor Elpis. Want to talk somewhere out of sight? people tend to think we're the bad guys, but.. I promise, we're not, really." She kept her tone soft and soothing, a bit of guilt at scaring her crossing her face. "What's your name? Are you new?" And she offered that same, friendlier smile, for once hoping she wasn't too scary.

"Sailor Elpis. Okay. So that means you are like me. Okay, good. Uhm. I'm Sailor Sinistra. Senshi of... uh. Brooms. I wasn't yesterday. Yesterday I was just... you know. Me. But now. I'm not."
She looked confused and stressed for a moment, and a little panicked. She tried to calm herself internally, though, not thinking it was really a good time to let her shyness get the better of her. She looked at Elpis, shaking her head slowly.
"I mean I am still... but I'm... also... uh... I guess you know. Uhm. Yes," she eeped out quietly, lapsing into a defeated tone, not wanting to be so frustratingly bashful, "I'm new."
She did not think about keeping out of sight. Was that important? Of course, it had to be, if they were supposed to be... super heroes or whatever they were. She moved to skitter to the nearest shadows, looking back at Elpis to see if she would follow.

"First day?" Elpis smiled, following easily. "That's okay. It'll be alright. It's good to know your name and sphere. My first piece of advice is not to tell anyone your civilian, non-magic name unless you trusdt them - really trust them. There's bad guys out there that might use it to hurt us, and I don't want to see someone hurt for not being taught safety." Elpis settled, making a gentle sound. She didn't blame Sinistra for being scared for shaking ad wanting to understand. "Right - what did the cat tell you? I can fill in some gaps from my experiences. I awakened a couple weeks ago, but I was lucky enough I know some other folks like us, like Knights. Knights are good people and weasr very vibrant colors. You can trust them." And she paused - she worried she was giving too much too fast, and waited to let it soak in. "And - Sinistra, right? Tell me if I go too fast." She just wanted her safe...

Sinistra nodded her head slowly. She had gotten that impression, if only because she had been given these powers in the first place. There had to be a reason to suddenly have another identity, right? She certainly had not rushed home to tell everyone she knew about her new powers.
Really, she had not actually believed it happened until the second time she managed to power up.
The idea of bad guys did not sound particularly fun, though. She could barely deal with normal people, let alone ones that actually wanted to hurt her.
"I didn't get told anything. I don't really know what happened. I just... you know. Here I am. But Knights sound nice... and there are other uhm... Senshi, like us. Okay, that makes sense. I... I appreciate you trying to explain this all to me, thank you very much." She would be up a creek without a paddle if left to her own devices.

Elpis nodded, trying to remain more open than her usual motive of keeping her arms crossed with a firm look, and the Senshi thought. "There's two more groups too. The Dark Mirror Court, and the Negaverse. In my experience, the Dark Mirror seems okay, and they're friendly, but I don't know details. Still, they might be willing to explain things. Another group you do need to be cautious with, the Negaverse. They wear very dark colors, and carry weapons. If you see them, be cautious. Run if you need to, but you might need to fight. I've seen some violent, some open to talking." She mentally went to Merlinite, especially. "And if you hear of someone named Painite being nearby, run and hide or find help. I haven't seen them, but I've heard they're dangerous, and I doin't want to find out someone got hurt because of Painite when I could've passed warning." Elpis paused to let it sink in. "Tere's also our magic. I believe exeryone's is different. Mine for example is ann attack spell. I'm the Senshi of metal, and my attack works with it. Magic can help significantl" She smiled a bit. "By being creative."

Sinistra fiddled with the hem of her skirt, looking anxious and confused, but doing her best to listen to what she was being told. It was all very overwhelming, but important, and since she was a very good student it was easier for her to focus on the learning part than the suddenly a super hero thing.
She would address that some other time, in private, when flipping out was acceptable.
Fighting did not sound like something she would ever want to learn how to do, though, and she did not like the idea of an enemy. She frowned at Elpis thoughtfully, though it was very slight as she did not want to make a bad impression.
This sounded like she was going to have a lot more to worry about than the usual concerns of breaking a nail or getting muck on her clothes.
Painite? That didn't sound friendly either. She looked fairly horrified, blinking like a deer in headlights.
"Oh... okay. I... uhm... wait... uh... what's... we have magic?" Now there was magic involved. She supposed it was magic that helped her suddenly have a new identity and this actually rather adorable outfit, but... it had not really occurred to her that there was more to it.

Elpis wanted to pull her into a hug and comfort her, but she decided to focus on the positive. "Yes. You feel it deep down. But that's were it's different. It's - inside you. Mine's attacking though, and I don't want to hurt you with it." Elpis frowned finally, looking concerned for her. "It'll be alright, Sinistra. I know it's scary."

"Oh. I don't want to hurt anyone... I just... I'll try and figure out that part later. I'm... I'm good at studying on my own..."
This was something she would have to teach herself, she supposed. A lot of figuring out what she was had to come from her own hard work, right? and she was nothing if not a hard working student. She wanted nothing more than to be learning at all times, after all.
This was just another thing to study. Another class to take, except she would have to be her own professor. That was not too daunting, in itself, as she had taught herself plenty of things before. She doubted, though, that the library would have many books on this sort of thing.
Senshi and Negaverse and Knights.
"I guess I'm just trying to figure out the basics... then the more complicated things like... why? I feel like I was given the chance to do something important and I want to do well, I just... don't know what I'm doing. I do a little more now though. Thank you... I don't mean to be a bother...."

"You could look into defense or using your magic to heal and help others?" Elpis offered. She studied the senshi's face, brows raising sympathetically as she offered both hands slowly, expression going soft unconciously. "It'll be alright. You're not a bother, and if you like, you can always contact or find me if you'd feel better going out with someone else while you're powered. I try patrolling as much as I can. I don't know a lot of others, but I can help you as best I can." She didn't want someone hurt. That weas making itself clear in her mind - she wanted to protect this poor girl, because she was frightened, and help her get footing, find her place - just like Elpis was. "Pretty sure it's not hard to contact one another. Do you have a phone?" If so, she could pull hers out - give Sinistra a means to contact her.

Sinistra looked thoughtful and confused at once, which made a very strange expression cross her soft and timid features. She shook her head to reset her face, not wanting to embarrass herself further by adding unnecessary facial expressions to the list of dumb things she did.
Being a newbie senshi was supplying more than enough for that list, she imagined. Or at least it would, in due time.
"Oh, a phone?"
She remembered that much, at least, and she made to produce the phone she had managed to power up with. It wasn't her actual cell phone, but something that seemed to come with the new job. That and the little pen she had gotten.
"This is it. I uh... I haven't used it yet, but I would be ever so grateful if you gave me your number. I will try really hard not to bother you with dumb questions, but it would... feel better knowing I could contact someone if there's trouble..."
If she could muster up the courage to do so, of course.

Elpis withdrew her own phone, opening it as she motioned. "If I'm right, you aim it at me and press this button," Elpis motioned to her keys, indicating the button. "What it does is seems to add the target to the phone." Elpis' tone was definitely getting softer, but she wanted Sinistra to know it was okay and not worry about the phone itself. "As for calling, don't worry. Questions aren't stupid. Unless you don't ask. Anyone who says otherwise is an impatient git." The senshi winked, smiling. "You'll be alright. I promise."
