Another night of watching for patrols, noting as she saw senshi or knights pass. Cats...well, cats she didn't really bother with simply because it wasn't always easy to tell a normal cat from the strange guardian cats. And between sightings, safe on top of her chosen building, she practiced her capoeira. She was going to make herself useful. She was going to be a force against the terrorists in any way she could make herself be. Sphalerite was small, but that didn't mean she had to be useless.
Look at Talim. Talim was a badass when played right. She just had to play herself right.
She paused when she noticed a glow in her pocket, though. Hm? Sphalerite pulled the comm crystal out, and quickly shoved it back in her pocket when she noticed the color. s**t. A senshi or knight had actually made their way to near where she'd perched.

Two days of Negaverse activity meant Elpis needed to be out, about, and mobile, and the senshi almost sauntered down the route of the night, humming the BeeGees to herself as she moved, blinking as she noticed - was that Negaverse OH DAMNIT - creeping into her still unexplored feeling of aura, and she moved to follow it. Hopefully they didn't try to kill her or beat her too - she was getting really sick of that s**t - and the senshi sauntered a bit to peer at the the as she spied movement. However, when Sphalerite paused, Elpis muttered a curse to herself and peered up. Okay, Merlinite mentioned the Negaverse considered the word 'theirs' - whelp, best try to prove she wasn't in a fighting mood. Though she doubted it would work. "Nanuu nanuu." She peered after landing on the roof, hands flying up to show she wasn't armed. Technically a lie, but she knew it was usually a symbol of no harm. "Or iis Bah weep grah nah weep ninni bahn the correct answer? Or live long and prosper?" Horrible nerd jokes, go.

Sphalerite wasn't the sort to attack first. Not with this. But...she did stare at the woman funny. "Uh..." What the ********? "Are you...okay?" She knew senshi were technically invaders but...was this girl making fun of her? She wasn't sure if she was being funny or mean. The Nega had never been all that great at that part of things.
"And you aren't attacking me?" THAT was new. Didn't senshi want to silence the Negaverse uprising? Threat to their takeover and all that.

"Yeah. I wasn't sure if you wanted to attack me on sight so I figured I'd try Mork and Mindy, then the Transformers Universal Greeting, and then the Vulcan greeting." Elpis pulled herself fully out of hiding and shrugged, blinking. "I've had enough weird encounters with you guys to not want to if I can help it. And I really don't want to? Unless you plan to hurt someone who doesn't deserve it. Or bite my d- a friend of mine like one of your associates did." She hissed, muttering about cans of raid, and shook her head before shrugging. "So. Uh. Didn't expect to run into one of you all again. Hi." She blinked. This was awkward and HOW DID SHE NOT KNOW ANYTHING GEEKY?

Okay yeah. This girl was weird. [The geeky part she didn't really mind. She was kinda geeky herself.] "I don't hurt people if they don't deserve it or didn't attack me first." She frowned. "I'm trying to fight for this place, not make it worse." War was horrible, and terrible, but that didn't mean there couldn't be some honor in it.
"Hello." She was rather glad her project wasn't in plain sight, and the screen wasn't on the map at all. "Uh...so why are you in this war?" She wasn't being attacked...so she was going to use it to her advantage.

"...You have coworkers that are the children of the devil himself, then." Elpis told her casually. "I really, really hope you don't end up a murderer like some of them are." Her tone was genuinely worried. This girl seemed - genuinely well meaning, but... So not well informed and Elpis resisted the urge to pick her up and carry her off to cuddle and introduce to Helicon to get her purified then and there. It wasn't her place, so instead Elpis blinked, shrugging. "Me? Actually half because I want to protect people like my friends and family, half because <******** not much choice." But her tone wasn't angry. "Hard not to fight when you're walking monster kibble. I was told it's hunt or be hunted and I don't want to die. So some weird a** divine decision I had no option in or not.... I'd fight for my loved ones anyhow. Don't need magic to protect loved ones. Need smarts." And Elpis sighed, shaking her head. She didn't want to lose her father and family to this war, to the Negaverse, and being a senshi meant her Daddy was safe. Her family was safe, and her shoulders trembled a bit as she managed not to cry. "I gotta protect them, I gotta. I can't let my family get hurt by this I can't I--" She shivered, and sighed. "Sorry. Just. Kind of worried. You know? And I bet you'd protect your family, right?" And Elpis looked sympathetic. "I don't even know WHY there's a war over things. Nobody can give a straight answer. All I'm told is I'm invading something."

Murderer? Sphalerite looked...well, somewhere between worried and offended. WHO WAS SULLYING THE GOOD NAME OF THE NEGAVERSE? And..."Whoah. No choice?" She made a worried noise now, listening to the other and moving over to her.
"Hey...there should always be a choice. War is nasty, and gritty, and sometimes you might do things you wouldn't otherwise for the sake of winning it...but you should always have a choice to enter into it. Not...dragged in like a stubborn dog on a leash." She snorted. "I chose to enter this war to protect people, to take a stand that others wouldn't. You should have been given the same choice, whether you would automatically take it or not." What force thought it was okay to force people into this thing?!
"I'm still finding out everything myself." And perhaps...yes. She'd need to ask if there were any senshi who changed over to their side. To the Negaverse. Because...if they were being forced into the war? Then maybe...maybe they could win simply by offering them the choice they'd been denied. A choice, and information.

"I can't speak for others," Elpis scratched her head. "But I was going to fight anyhow, so I'm not mad. Even then, I need to look after people too. Just because I'm wearing some weird magic dress or whatever doesn't mean I'm not game to scuffle. I just don't want to be considered an invader." She snorted. "Or being targeted for some monster's dinner, or - or - half the s**t that goes on to innocent people. It's one more way to fight in my case. Others... I dunno man." She sighed, and shrugged. "Doesn't mean even if some of your fellows are ******** that I'm gonna generalize. Had a couple.... Weird run-ins enough that I'm not going to aim for the throat and rip it out. But I do think choice is something important. I guess senshi could choose not to fight. That's something. But otherwise, meh." She shrugged. "Differing ideaologies on what's best I guess. I'm waiting for a chance at some spider b*****d myself. He bit a dear friend of mine." Coffinite was going to suffer for biting her father, oooohhh yes.

Waitwaitwait. "Spider-b*****d?" She blinked. "Weird skin, multiple arms, generally a buttface?" Because if it was Coffinite...she was totally going to give permission to kick his a**, yup. He needed a hard lesson in STOP BEING A PSEUDO-RELIGIOUS BUTT ON THE FIELD.
....Maybe she could move up in rank before him, and then she'd be able to make him learn that lesson herself...Yes. She liked this idea. She liked this idea a lot.

"He needs his a** handed to him." She frowned, then snorted a bit. "a*****e has no place in this war at all." He'd get someone else in the Negaverse killed with his BS. And she wasn't going to stand for that. "Wanna get better so you can properly hand him his a**?" If she sparred with the other...well, they could look like they hadn't had a civil[?] conversation, and they could both get a little better. Which meant one of them was closer to kicking Coffinite's a**.

"No face shots. Harder to explain any bruises that might happen. Same with bites." She didn't want to try lying to her parents. She really didn't. She was already stretching it by not including everything when they asked about certain things...
She really needed to get better at keeping them out of the war. So far her Isi-papa was easy, because he traveled a lot. Her mother...Mmf.

Elpis tapped her chin thoughtfully a moment. "No weapon or magic. Hand to hand only." She nodded finally. "Easier to recover from and I'd rather not see what your weapon can do." She nodded. "Nor do I want you hit by my magic. Trust me - it's not nice."

"Sounds like good terms to me." She held her hand out, smirk on her face. "Shake on it, then begin?" This could definitely be educational. A good chance to see how to other side fought without their magic. Work towards getting a little stronger, a little faster, a little more effective. And having an ally against Coffinite's insanity would be...useful.
[And perhaps, if all went well, she could convince one of the enemy to HELP protect Earth instead of invading it!]
