With her mane flowing against the wind, the mare closed her eyes and bathed herself in the sunlight from above. This was a good day, and she knew that things would only get better from here. Radiant. Alectrona often wondered of why azrein never appealed to her, keeping their distance. In other words, she did not interact with any other azrein other than of her parents. Did she even have siblings? The mare did not know, but she did know that she was not the only azrein around.
Hoofprints were often found a distance away, ranging from kilometers to miles. Distance was not something that troubled her; it was rather of why she never seen any other than herself. Her parents died at a young age, leaving the mare in the sheltered place that she called home - beside a thicket and stream of water. Not to mention the small cliff that she discovered as a yearling. From there, the mare would climb and drink in the sunlight.
Dipping her head in thanks to the sunlight's warmth, her crown slipped off her head and the sun goddess trailed after it, only to lose sight of it. "Oh, now where could it have gone?" she asked aloud, not suspecting someone to actually be nearby. Why would she anyways? She never ran into someone and did not expect to today.

Shyama wasn't one to stay in place for long. She was the type of mare to go out on an adventure whenever she wanted to. Perhaps that was why she could never make any friends or keep any that she somehow made. Today she was on a wandering spree though her wings were starting to get tired from her flitting around all morning.
She was about to stop for a quick rest when something rolled towards her. Something shiny and metallic. Curiosity got the better of her and she flitted over to the object to find that it was a golden crown. "How did this get down here?" she pondered to herself. She looked around, wondering who might have dropped something so valuable. She looked up to find a mare at the edge of a cliff. Shyama could tell that the mare was looking for something.
"Hello!" she yelled at the other mare. "Did you lose something?"

"Hello! Did you lose something?"
Alectrona's head peeked out, looking down at the small, midnight blue thing. Did it just talk? Where did it even come from? That was not there before, meaning that it was just recently moved here, but how did it get here? The mare pawed the ground, wondering why and what the thing was, with a simple: "Yes! Wait there please!"
An adventure. A challenge. Was this what her parents were telling her about? How something new would enter the land? Probably, probably not. She had no clue. Scrabbling down the cliff, Alectrona finally came face to face with the strange thing.
Smaller than her, it was, but it had eyes and a mouth. But why did it look so strange? "And what are you if I may ask?" Not that there was a hint of aggression in her, she just found this strange thing in her land more important than her crown for now.

Shyama waited patiently as the mare on the cliff came down to claim her crown. What the little flutter mare didn't know what how much bigger the golden mare was going to be until she came down and approached Shyama. The little flutter knew that she was smaller than the average mare but she felt like a dwarf compared to the golden mare. She was at least five hands taller than the littler flutter.
"Huh?" Shyama missed the question that was asked to her for a few moments since she was staring at the golden mare in awe and shock. "Oh, I am just a little flutter azrein. Shyama is my name if you meant that," she said quickly not wanting the other mare to repeat her question. "I come from the northern end of the lands. This is actually my first time seeing another azrein." Her cheeks paled a little bit as she admited that. She wasn't really one to be a social "butterfly" and she avoided any contact when she was younger.
"Are you some sort of a goddess or something like that?" The golden mare had the essence of that of a goddess or demi-goddess.
