The hands of time had changed many ways, the greater leaders of his herd had fallen to be replaced by new. At this moment, a white and pink-ish striped stallion hovered along the edges of the herd. His mothers had had rank within the herd, but one stepped back, kinda withdrawn after what happened. Now the stallion was in a place where he was unsure, he needed time away from it all. With the the coming of new leaders, Yiska took this as a sign that he should move on. While he loved the Moonlight Herd, he wasn't really going to be leaving forever, he needed space.
Picking a hardly used trail, one that he remembered from his past, here he went quickly. Feline like tail flicked behind him as he entered the shadows, his coat not really blending in. The youthful stallion left the herd lands in the wake of celebration. Upon the open ranges past the shelter of the guarding trees, Yiska took to a faster pace to put some distance between himself and everyone else. The only time he slowed to a mere trot, soon to a walk as his lungs burned and legs largely unused ached from the high pace. Stopping at a shallow stream, here he lowered his horned head to drink. Yiska closed his magenta colored eyes and sighed now that he allowed himself to breath.

Moving from one place to other, Sabine Tigera is living the life of a nomad because she doesn't have any reasons to settle down and she's forever searching for her twin sister whom is like fire to her ice but the sister remains exclusive to her. She quickly learned to detect the herd boundaries and there's many of herds around (so she thinks), the tigeress learned quickly to stay near the neutral grounds so she won't have to run or try to talk her way out of trouble that she accidentally gotten herself into. Those moments, she's very grateful that her sister Siryn isn't around because she knows that they would probably have to literally fight for their lives because her sister don't know how to hold her tongue. This is one of those moments and Sabine hurries away from the patrols of one herd at the full speed, not daring to look back because she doesn't want to get caught.
Not hearing any thundering hooves behind her, Sabine allowed herself to chance a glance over her shoulder to see that she's really far ahead and the patrols are ceasing their chase so she nearly collapsed against the tree, leaning against it while sucking in huge gulps of air. The female closes her soft blue eyes as she allows her other senses to guide her toward a bubbling stream but there's another unfamiliar scent nearby. Her eyes appears once again and she almost jerked away when she saw a large stallion with a wicked looking horn on his forehead drinking at the stream. With a silent whimper, Sabine is not sure if she should turn around and hightail it out of there or just take her chance to drink the water.

White and magenta striped ears flicked at the sound of someone else coming to the stream. He didn't open his eyes at first, thinking that whom ever it was would just get what they wanted and leave. But there was that small whimper that drew his attention from the cool water that dripped from his chin to the other warm body that was off to one side. Lifting his head from the stream, Yiska turned those magenta eyes towards the white and tiger like mare that was a distance away.
Well, this was a bind now wasn't it? No matter how far from his herd lands he went, it seemed that he would always run into someone else along the way. Turning away from both mare and stream, he took a step away, his feline like tail giving another flick to scatter the night flies away from his back side.
"Sorry, the stream is yours now." The stallion said barely looking back again. He had little experience outside the herd lands. "I shall find another spot."
Yiska had spoken with an air to his voice that made him sound like he was of higher power. Really he hated the lessons he had been given in his past to speak as such. He wasn't all that special, just an average Arcturus with a cat tail. Looking back for a moment, he gave the mare another glance before he settled a distance away. Here he lowered his head to continue that which had been interrupted.

Her eyes widens as the stallion didn't attack her or berate her like others have done before, Sabine suddenly isn't sure what she's supposed to do and her throat visibly works nervously while she stares at the stallion. "O-oh... no no.. I apologize. You were here first." She stammers as her skittish side of personality is starting to show because she have been alone since she parted the ways with her sister when they were yearlings and it wasn't by their own choices. Noting that his attitude and voice sounds like he's of the higher ranking, perhaps he's a leader, Sabine is rendered speechless and she blinks at him owlishly when he simply moved off to continue what he was doing.
"I apologize.. truly." Sabine fumbles over her words as she knows she must have looked terrible because she couldn't find time or space to settle down for a good grooming. With a small sigh, her tail curls up around her hind leg in a manner that comforts her, the tigress moves toward the stream tentatively, pausing with every few steps to make sure she's not provoking this stallion in any manner. Her eyes continues to flicker over to the large stallion nervously while she moves away from him because that horn of his intimidates her like there's no tomorrow. Peering into the dark water, she barely could make out the reflection of herself and she's mortified of what she's seeing, she stumbles backwards and crashes down to the ground. Her mane is a huge tangled mess with twig or leaves sticking out, no wonder patrols of various different herds chased her away from the herd boundaries.
To her mortification and horror, the tears wells up in her soft blue eyes and starts tracking down her cheeks accompanied with soft ragged sobs, Sabine grits her teeth to stem the sounds and tears but with every passing moment, she's losing the battle against her frustration. Squeezing her eyes shut, Sabine turns her body away from the male so he won't be able to see the horrible shape she's currently in right now and she lets out a hissing exhale. NOW this is one of those moments where Siryn would be very useful in helping her keeping her composure together.

Lifting his head up from the stream, he watched as the mare backed suddenly away from the stream and back onto the ground. Tilting his head, Yiska's ears pitched forwards wondering what had happened. He hadn't really taken much care to look the mare over when he first saw her. Now this mare was acting strangely, befuddled he stepped carefully over towards the tiger marked mare.
"You alright, miss?" he asked lowering his head a little, not realizing that the horn that protruded from his forehead might be a little frightening. "You aren't hurt are you?"
Yiska looked her over, he didn't notice anything that looked like any sort of injury. Her previous statements about him being at the stream first went completely out the window as he worried that something might be ailing the mare. Reaching over he started to gently tug whatever was meshed into her mane out and tossing it to the ground. Hoping that it would help sooth her and make her feel a bit more comfortable. Not really realizing that he could be doing the complete opposite and scaring the wit out of her even worse.

Sitting on the ground, Sabine was too worn out to try to get up and flee because she felt this horrible emotion that she associated with humiliation and she trembles visibly under the stars and moon when the stallion approaches her. The large horn comes into her vision as she recoils from him with a scared squeak while trying to scramble away from the stallion but the ground was too slippery so her efforts were futile. "N-No. I am not hurt." Her ragged voice manages to make itself known as she tries to clear her throat nervously, feeling like her heart was going to bust out of her chest and escape with that frantic pounding it have been doing in her ribcage.
As the stallion looks her over then she felt the tugging in her mane, not understanding that the stallion was trying to help, Sabine freaked out and starts flailing with her teeth gashing at the air while the whites of her eyes are almost completely visible. "Please don't hurt me!! I am not as delicious as the deer I saw on my way over!" Her frantic voice fills the air as she managed to gain some grip on the slippery ground and drags herself away from him, sobbing in fear. Sabine had some close encounters with some of evil personalities and it have left scars on her, literally which is somewhat hidden among her stripes and white fur but under the moonlight, the scars 'glows', revealing that she have been through hell and back.
Her cat tail whiplashes behind her as she manages to get up to standing position, swaying little bit while she stares at the male, panting heavily with her wild eyes looking all over the place for a quick way to escape. "I might don't have claws, fangs or.. horn but ... I still can defend myself." Her voice quivers, making it painfully clear that she is terrified for her life.

Yiska backed away as the mare suddenly panicked and moved away from him. The words that spilled from her mouth like water reached his ears and he looked confused. Tilting his head to one side, still not really understanding what was so wrong with him. Taking another small step forward he took it back as she spoke of fangs, claws and horns. Well it was true that he had a horn, both his mothers' had horns, Janna's was curved and Meleena's was straight like his own. Was it wrong to be birthed with something like that?
"I'm sorry, but I don't eat meat." Yiska said somewhat at a mutter as he looked away from the mare. "My horn is used for healing, sometimes defending of it is needed." Perhaps now he understood some of that the mare was afraid of.
Retaining the distance between himself and the strange, blubbering mare, he did hope for her sake that she was alright. She looked like a mess, with her mane still entangled with greenery and the strains down her face from the tears that spilled from her eyes. Then there were the marks on her body, those set him off a little, against the stripes of her coat other things stood out. He wanted to question them, but thought other wise as she seemed to fear him more than anything else.
"My name's Yiska, to whom do I have the pleasure of bumping into?" Yiska asked hoping that perhaps introducing himself might ease the tension that was making his own fine coat stand on end and tail tuck itself beneath his rump.

Feeling like she was about to pass out because she isn't getting enough air into her lungs, Sabine sways little bit while her ever-whitening eyes skitters around nervously while trying to stay upright and her eyes fixed on the stallion. That's one of her first harsh lessons she learned in her first months apart from her twin sister, never take her eyes off the possible enemy and gauge their movements so she could react first. In this situation, she's failing miserably at keeping her eyes on the stallion and keep a level head because she's is finally falling apart at the seams due to the constant stress and terror following her around.
"Y-You don't eat meat?" There seems to be a relief in her trembling voice as her eyes continues to flicker up to his horn nervously and almost like the stallion was reading her mind, he commented about his horn. "Healing...?" Sabine blinks in confusion as her tail flicks against her flanks to get rid of the night flies that won't be deterred by her constant body trembling. Her ears pins against her skull as the poor female isn't sure if she should believe this stallion even if her heart says that he won't harm her at all but the experiences override her instincts.
With a shudder, Sabine seems to shrink into herself and she sways back and forth little bit, her eyes glazes over when the full impact of stress and fear takes control of her health. Sabine squeezes her eyes tightly as she takes in several huge gulps of air, hoping it would help her stay conscious because no way in hell she would faint in front of this stallion with a huge wicked horn. "Yiska..." She manages to say the name while her throat tightens, causing her to gasp for air. "S-S-Sabine.." She forces her name to come out of her mouth as she visibly struggles to stay upright and is on verge of hyperventilating.

It was possibly the worst thing that he could have done, specially for a mare who was on the verge of passing out. Yiska tore forwards, closing what gap was between them and placed himself at her side and pressed himself to her side as support. The breathing problem was one thing he hadn't been taught in his lessons, but he was fair worried about her. This was certainly not the place to have a panic attack. Raising his head to the air, he sniffed, nothing was around. Yet, but there were always the chance that something or someone was bound to sense her panic and come to investigate.
"Miss Sabine, you sure you are alright?" Yiska asked as he looked down at her. He wasn't really that much taller than the mare, but in this situation he felt like a giant.

The distance between Yiska and Sabine was a moment of peace because she was starting to calm down, despite her wild-eyed look and about to start hyperventilating but the second Yiska swiftly closed the gap between them, the poor female felt like she was going to die. Her heartbeat sped up to the point where it could kill her if she doesn't calm down as she jerked away from Yiska's touch almost like it was fire burning her, stumbling few steps away from him breathing raggedly. The memories of being hunted down and beaten by others just because she was clueless to how herd policies and boundaries works comes rushing back to her and she recoils, stumbling into the water and falls down in it, sending the water droplets splashing away from her.
Coughing violently, Sabine tries to backpedal from the stallion, obviously lost into her terrible memories but the rocks beneath her is too slippery for her to gain some tract so she sat there with her head bowed with her matted hair covering her face, trembling visibly. "I-I...." She manages to get that first word out as she grits her teeth, hating the feeling of humiliation and terror she's feeling right now. "w-w-w-will be ok." She forces herself to look up at Yiska but the fear overtakes her when she sees that long wicked horn and she quickly looks down, the trembling starts all over again.

There is was again, that panic measure that sent her away from him, he was only trying to help, but it seemed that all he could do was make things worse. With a sigh, the stallion watched as the mare seated herself within the stream, thanking the stars that it was shallow. Had it been deeper he might have had to rescue her from drowning. Magenta eyes looked around the area as if he was looking for something, a small shimmer caught his attention. A small silver inlaid flower blossomed under one of the many trees in the area, this one was good for many things. But mostly it was used to putting others at ease and helped with the heart.
Stepping over to the small sprig of flowers he pulled off a small bit of it, not wanting to disturb the roots that had kept the plant in place for many season. Yiska moved back over to the stream and place the flowers on the ground and backed away.
"Faethr flowers, it might help. My herd use them when someone's having a problem with their heart, or panic attacks. Also with many other conditions." Yiska paused a moment as he looked back in the direction that he had come, he knew he was a long ways from his own home lands, this was open roaming country.
Yiska's mind started wandering elsewhere, wondering if the mare would be more comfortable if he had perhaps wings instead of the horn of his mothers'. Then again, the way Miss Sabine was acting, it seemed that she had been in a panic around just about everyone that she had come across. He did have to wonder if all these bad experiences didn't cause lasting damage

Hoooooooooooooooooooooo
Sabine jerked her head as the owl's call startled her and she tries to scramble up to her hooves, but they slips over the slippery rocks again and she went crashing back down to the stream with a hoarse cry. As the stallion moves away from her, the panic inside her chest increased because she didn't realize that the stallion was the reason why she haven't gone over the cliff yet and she makes small distressed noises deep inside her throat, not understanding that he's trying to help her. Another 'hooooooooo' almost sent her heart into overdrive as she scrambles to get up and she end up having to drag herself out of the stream when the stallion comes back with something in his mouth, her eyes stares at him wildly, wanting this entire thing to end already.
Shuddering, Sabine recoils from Yiska's approach but she didn't do anything more because she was too exhausted from the constant terror and her eyes follows his head when he placed .. a flower down on the ground near then then stepped away. "Flowers...? panic attacks? heart?" She looks at Yiska in wide-eyed confusion as she looks at the flower. "H-How am I supposed to use this?" She is too terrified to lean closely to inspect the flower and another 'HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" sent her scrambling toward the stallion with a squeak, curling up tightly next to the stallion's body trembling violently. Feeling the tears welling up in her eyes, Sabine squeezes her eyes tightly to stop the tears because she's so tired of crying, being afraid of everything and .. being alone.
"T-Talk to me please...." Sabine whispers in that shaky voice as she kept her eyes closed. "Tell m-m-me more about the flower..." Sabine's entire body is shaking and there's a sound coming from her that oddly sounds like silent heaving sobs. Her tail curls up against her body tightly as she sinks down to the ground next to the stallion's body, visibly exhausted from the daunting efforts to keep herself from falling apart but so far, her efforts is being wasted because the panic attack continues to rise up inside her body.

He was like a stone as the mare scrambled from the water, splashing it about a little as she moved. He looked around, ears listening to the call of the night hunters. The owls that patrolled the night time when all rest were asleep. Looking down he watched Sabine get as close to him as she could. Reaching over he unconsciously he wrapped his neck over hers as if it was going to help matters. As she sank towards the ground, Yiska slowly followed, placing his legs where they wouldn't bump her.
"You just have to eat them Miss." he said reaching out to pull the sprig closer. "Faethr flowers only grow this time of year and in the light of the moon. This place is the only place you can find them and many healers come in search." he paused a moment to pick a twig from Sabine's mane that was poking him.
"The flower itself while looking not too special with its milky white and silver inlaid petals, can always help. There's something within their nectar that reacts to the responses in the brain and gives a calming effect. It might help steady your responses so you can breath without gasping and passing out." He explained the best he could, even Yiska wasn't too sure of all the effects of the flowers, but he felt that the few he had gathered wouldn't harm the mare too badly.

As the stallion put his neck over hers, Sabine immediately felt that unknown feeling that haven't been around since she parted from her twin sister long time ago... security but she was too weak to stay upright and she sank to the ground, the stallion followed her to the ground as well. Sabine shudders as she leans against the stallion subconsciously, not realizing what she's doing and she closes her eyes, listening to Yiska's voice, allowing herself to be tethered to his voice for her sanity. "That's why you are here? to gather those flowers?" Sabine twitches as he moved to bring the sprig closer then pulled the twig out of her mane. "I-I am sorry that I don't look presentable." She says with tears in her voice as she sees the offending twig that he pulled out of her mane and she couldn't rip her eyes away from that twig.
"Eat them?" The female manages to move her eyes away from the offending twig to Yiska's eyes, her ears swiveling around to catch all of the words that is coming out of his mouth but half of those words are lost due to her loud heartbeat that sounds like rapid gunfire. "HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" fills the air as the owl suddenly takes off into the flight to fend off other owl and that sudden flurry of actions was just enough for her, she slumps against Yiska after struggling to gain her breath because everything inside her seemed to seize up and she struggled not to give in to the blissful darkness. Desperate to do something to help herself to calm down and not to jump at every little movement or noises that is happening around her, Sabine blindly groped around for the sprig with her muzzle and she felt the silky texture against her muzzle.
Another "HOOOOO" fills the air accompanied with angry squawking and wings flapping nearby triggered the frantic actions of Sabine's, she took the entire sprig into her mouth and started chewing on it really fast while the whites of her eyes are beginning to show themselves again. Shivering, the female hunkered against the stallion while continuing to chew on the sprig, not feeling the effects immediately and she looks up at him. "I think you got the wrong kind of flowers..." She says with a shaky smile, trying to fend off the upcoming panic attack is going to happen. Her frantic heartbeat starts to slow down and her gasping for air is starting to be far in between but the whites in her eyes are still there as the female looks around her nervously, temporarily forgetting that this stallion she's all cuddled up against have this really long wicked horn that could take her life easily.

"Not really, I was here to escape from the goings on around the herd ground that I was birthed to. My mothers have been relieved of their post as new herd members are stepping up to take their places. While it will be good for the herd, I needed space and ability to breath for a little while." Yiska said as he looked upwards towards the warring birds over head, his ears falling back with a glare. "Can't they find a better place for territory rights?" the question was more to himself than anyone else, but really he didn't understand the birds half the time.
Glancing back towards the mare as she leaned against his side, he gave a small sigh seeing that she was starting to relax. That was a small victory at least, he was glad that the tension in the air was starting to loosen and break away, besides the birds over head that warred to the point of tearing feathers from each other. Shaking his head he glanced back to Sabine as she ate the flowers and said that he had given her the wrong ones. This tugged a smile across his muzzle.
"Its not that fast acting, you have to wait a little before it takes full effect. Its not like magic from my kind, it has to course through your body first. Just wait and it will help." he said as he started noticing that the power of the flowers were starting to take hold. Her breathing was easier and he noticed that her heart didn't beat against his side as if it were his own. "How are you feeling now?" he asked after a little while passed, watching her still look around with those wide eyes, but he was glad that some things were changing for the better.
