This creamy, brown portal was the second to appear. It is located outside the creepateria and is the only upright portal of the five. Since it is actually made of chocolate, many students take a bite out of it on the way inside. Even with all of the gouges and teeth marks, it seems no closer to collapsing.

What's Inside?
Upon stepping through the chocolate portal, you immediately discover there's no floor and an excess of gravity. Seconds later, you splash down in a deep pool of, you guessed it, chocolate. The pool is circular, thankfully, as is the room that houses it, so you're never that far away from the edge. You'll just have to swim for it.

What Do I Do?
Try to escape chocolate bathtime by flapping your wings as hard as you can as soon as you step through:
You can't. Excess of gravity.

Swim:
Quote:
Roll 2d10. This is the number of strokes you need to stroke in order to escape the pool.

Roll 1d8 in each subsequent post. This is how far you swam in that post. Keep swimming until your cumulative total is equal to or higher than the total you rolled in your first post.

Help someone else to shore:
Quote:
Once they have rolled 2d10 to determine how far they need to go, another person may continue rolling 1d8 to help a character that might be having trouble swimming. There are large, thin metal forks on shore that can be extended over the chocolate pool and grabbed by floundering creatures, or the person doing the saving can just jump back in and carry their friends.

How Do I Leave?
All you must do is reach the shore. The room's inner walls are portals that will take you back to the creepateria.

Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, Mayaa was still clinging to Draven's arm and squealing about just how cute those kushis were, and how she still wanted a MILLION. Though, perhaps that wouldn't be the best idea because Trick would probably eat them all... even if they were made of stone.

Still, after portal hopping, she was a bit peckish and wanted to swing by the creeptaria for a snack, but something had caught her attention first.
"Draven! Draven! Oh my jack there's a portal here toooooo EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WE HAVE TO GO"

Draven just...listened. Really, what else was he to do? The maze had been large and disorientating and just... He was happy to be back where the sky was normal and the pumpkin sun shone down on them with it's lovely normal light.

Mayaa's tone of voice changed completely.

"What? Oh. Um. Um." He looked at the portal. At least it wasn't bright pink or anything. "I don't know..." The last one had been a bit of a bother.

Mayaa gave Draven her best wide-eyed pouty face.
"B-but... there could be treasure! And look!"
She all but dragged him to the arch of the portal.
"It's made of chocolate! You can't go wrong with chocolate!"
As if to prove it, she took a nice big bite out of it, chewing happily.
"Shwee?"

Draven put on his very best skeptical face. She'd promised treasure last time, and all he'd gotten was voices and the run-around.

But he didn't fight her too hard when she dragged him over to it. She was too excited for him to say 'no', honestly. He just didn't want to admit that. So he sighed.

"I still don't know. Chocolate isn't bad...I suppose. But. ... Are you sure you should be eating it?" This ghoul didn't look before she leaped, did she? No, no. He knew that was a silly question.

Draven shuffled his feet a bit, kicking at the dirt in a manner that said he was thinking and torn about what to do. "Do you really want to go?" He didn't want to make her sad, ok.

The treasure was the kushis, Draven. Many many kushis. It was the best treasure.
She did pause mid-chew to stare at Draven, and then laughed, spitting bits of chocolate chunks from her mouth. The epitome of grace.
"Chocolate is for eating, silly!"
And even though he was reluctant, he didn't say no.
"YES. Oh, Draven, you won't regret it, I promise!"
She leaned in to give him a messy chocolatey smooch on the cheek, and then pushed him into the portal before leaping in herself.

Chocolate. Everywhere. And that was just from her laughing. Ok. Maybe it wasn't tons, but he'd not been expecting that. So, he'd not even had time to think about hiding the look on his face. One that was something between shock and cringe. He didn't want it on him, ok.

"But this..." He gestured at the portal, and didn't even know how to finish his sentence. He could argue it wasn't really chocolate, but she was sure it was, and he hadn't tasted it. He didn't want to taste it.

"I..." He was hoping he wouldn't regret it. He took a breath, preparing to say yes, ok, fine let's go or something along those lines, when he was given a kiss and a shove.

His first reaction was to flap. There was nothing solid under his feet so flight was the natural thing to do. Only it didn't work. He felt the tell-tale sink of falling and then a splash and a bob and then he flailed a little. Arms and wings only making the splashing worse as he tried to orientate himself.

Awesome. Awesome. He was, as he had not wanted to be, covered in chocolate. Swimming in it even.

There was no treasure was there?

CLEARLY Draven didn't have enough chocolate in his life, and she was trying to fix that, ok. Such a considerate friend.
She heard the splash, and looked down below to see that he had dropped in a vast sea of... chocolate.
Oh wow oh wow, she had never seen so much chocolate before!

While Draven struggled, she all but let herself drop straight into the sweet haven down below.

He saw her hit the chocolate. She'd be fine, probably. She had to be. Because really, Draven didn't know his way out of this yet.

Doing his very best to asses things, Draven took it all in. Round walls, but places to stand on the edge of the room. Good. That meant he could get out of this mess.

Swimming with chocolate covered feathers wasn't the easiest...but he'd have to make it work. He could totally make it work. Swimming just...wasn't his forte. Would the chocolate's thickness harm or help? Only one way to find out.

Draven set out for the nearest wall.

"Mayaa? You okay?" He...probably should check on her.

There was a gurgling sound, and her head finally broke the surface of the chocolate pool.
"MORE than ok! This is the best!!"
She flapped her arms happily, splashing the chocolate everywhere around her. As it was, it didn't look like she was even trying to get out of this sweet predicament.

"If you say so!" Draven called over his shoulder to her.

For his part- he wanted out. Seriously. It was thick and everywhere and... Really the chocolate was quite hindering. If he could just get the hang of it, then maybe everything would seem fine.

But it was hard. It weighed him down. He had to fight through it.

How could the harpy enjoy this so much? Draven just didn't understand.

It probably helped to think that Mayaa was perhaps a little... not normal. Really, the harpy was easily excited over the most mundane things.
She was still splashing about and chirping happily.

At some point though, she somehow ended up... splashing herself all the way to the edge of the pool. Huh.

While Mayaa was happily splashing herself towards the edge, Draven was still fighting his way through the chocolate. He tried to console himself with the thought that it could be worse. He could be swimming in lava or something. At least chocolate was not burning.

And it wasn't too bad, he guessed, once he got the hang of it. Sure, he was huffing and puffing after a few strokes, and there was chocolate EVERYWHERE. It was going to take ages to get it out of his wings. But he was closer to the edge. Much closer. Nearly there, in fact.

Mayaa would have agreed that swimming through lava was MUCH less enjoyable. You couldn't eat lava. And it was hot. :C
But chocolate was nice and smooth and just right~

She pulled herself out and sat at the edge, dangling her feet in the chocolate while she cheered Draven on.
"Go go Draven, you can do it!!"

It would seem his harpy friend was really good at swimming in chocolate. She'd beaten him to the wall, even in all her playing.

"Thanks," he said, sloshing through the chocolate. He was nearly there. Nearly.

One last burst of strength and the ledge was under his fingers.

With a great huff he hauled himself out of the pool.

"I think you enjoy this too much."
