This booth seems like it missed the boat, Quadrants Day having finished and wrapped up quite some time ago. Nevertheless it is festooned in cut out symbols of troll romance, to the point where it's impossible to not notice it as you walk by. The perky blueblood adult sitting inside seems somewhat familiar. Perhaps you've seen her somewhere before? Or maybe she just has one of those familiar faces. Either way she radiates an almost maniacal level of friendly helpfulness, and in her free time is constantly leaping over the front of her booth to help give directions to trolls who have gotten lost in the crowd. How nice. The booth itself has a smaller booth to the side, that seems to be a small electronic photo-production station.

Photo Booth
For a modest fee of one beetle, you can crowd inside here with your friends and take some quadrant themed pictures. There are options inside for four different backdrops corresponding to the four quadrants, and once you have done a few poses, the machine will print out a strip of pictures for you to bring home and treasure. Always. This is a ic interaction only, with no game or dice rolling attached, and will let you put one (or however many your troll took) of the images below in their journal's inventory, if they want to.

If you're feeling particularly romantic, or silly, you can enter your name with that of another troll to win a lovely pair of rings commemorating your quadrant with them. Please post a 250 word in-character post of your troll entering the raffle, along with the form below. At the end of Bloodfest, one couple will be drawn for each red, black, pink and grey quadrants, and given a lovely ring. In addition, each troll entering the raffle will receive a maximum of one ticket, just for putting their name in the raffle! Yes, it has never been this easy to win now!!
(Ticket will go to the troll who has done the 250 word post. If both trolls want a ticket they must both do a 250 word post.)

These beautiful replicas sit out to display what your prizes will look like. Mawwage?
If you are about to leave the booth, the blueblood stops you. She's got a bit of a question that's been nagging her. She recently discovered an old troll book, published by an obvious troll crackpot. It talks about the alien concept of 'wuv and mawwage' and she's curious what you make of it. If you were asked, what do you imagine 'wuv and mawwage' is? Is it some form of health exercise? Perhaps it's a depreciated soft drink manufacturer. Write up your troll's personal theory of 'wuv and mawwage' and post it in the thread for the blueblood to consider, accompanied by the little code snippet below. The winner of this event will be chosen by staff pick based on amusing originality. The winner will receive the Mule's hand in marriage with gaia's new marriage system.

It had been a fun, but very busy, evening. Arriving from the Fronds with his lovers in tow, Zeffer was all too ready to put serious matters aside, in the name of fun and relaxation. The timing was spectacular, really, and the blueblood was someone who could never turn down an event like Bloodfest. With fond memories in mind, he had booked a room at one of the shiny new hotels of Civisect before telling Aprife and Akko about his plans. His matesprit had been all for it, of course...but it had been a fight to even get his blackcrush into the transport vehicle destined for the newly built city.

The notion that they had been fighting a war in the same place only a sweep or so ago was almost unbelievable. Zeffer hadn't set foot in the place since, and the view was nothing short of dazzling as they arrived at the station. Despite the exclusive nature of Civisect, there was no denying that the speed at which it had been erected was fairly impressive. After hauling themselves to the hotel and unpacking, Zeffer and Aprife had helped provide Akko with what Zeffer hoped would be a convincing disguise. Wouldn't she come have fun with them? There would be plenty of chances to kick highblooded a**, after all.

Convincing her still hadn't been easy. Now that they were finally on the pier, it seemed as if there were a million things to do, and only about half a night left at their immediate disposal. With his hand woven into Aprife's, and the other clamped around Byakko's wrist, they drifted through the crowds, inundated with delicious smells and a flurry of colors. As they approached the first booth of the nearest row, something caught Zeffer's eye that made him grin. During the investigation, Quadrants Day had been all but overlooked, and so seeing a booth covered in quadrant signs made him grin. It was stupid, sappy, and he wanted to see what it was about...

"Hey! We should sign up for this real quick!!" He cackled, looking between Aprife and Byakko with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Ah yeah, it certainly was impressive, that was the truth. The hustle and bustle of Civisect rivaled his own home city and Aprife found himself alert and alive with the swell of the crowd. After everything that had happened recently, it was nice to let himself get pulled along by the flow of everyday life, to let the pulse of excitement he felt all around sweep away the memories of heavier, more important things.

Bloodfest. When Zeffer had brought it up, the yellowblood had been on board before his matesprit could even finish explaining the plan. It should've felt a little silly, he was older now, and should've been less enthusiastic about playing games and romping around. That was hardly the case. It was next to impossible to banish the grin he wore when he thought about just how much ******** fun they were gonna have.

With the blueblood between them, Aprife peered back to Akko, all but dragged along on this impromptu wild ride. Getting her to come definitely had been a chore, but he was glad she'd finally relented to joining them. Even important rebel leaders needed a damn break and a little excitement once in a while.

Momentarily preoccupied with their companion, Aprife was almost startled by Zeffer's sudden outburst. His gaze swung back around, catching the obviously quadrant themed booth, the look in his matesprit's eyes, the sound of that devious laugh that made Aprife's spirit's lift even higher. Aw hell, what was the harm? Secretly, he found himself thinking it would be a pretty good start to this sweep's festivities...

Squeezing his hand, he cracked a grin of his own. "Count me in." All eyes were on Akko again. "You too?" Heh, he couldn't resist giving her a look before looking back at the booth. "It'll be fun."

While not exactly jogging, Luxara still kept up a somewhat speedy pace in her enthusiasm to get to this booth, pulling Kursha along all the while. She had passed it plenty of times before, but had never got to try it out! Taking pictures by yourself was no fun. Much less at a booth for couples n' stuff. While she honestly wanted a picture here with all of her close friends, Kursha was a top priority. And...maybe...if he played ball...she could use it to segue into getting s**t sorted out like the yellow moon scout had advised her.

But for now, she had to focus on the present, boosted to her usual level of wide-grinning confidence because of Kursha's recent amiable attitude. "This is it!" she said, stopping and gesturing with her free hand. "I've never tried one of these before! But apparently you sit in that box with other people and get pictures taken? And then on the side you get a strip of them to take home! So, I was thinking, hey, why not get a memento and maybe have some fun doing it?"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. She really, really hadn't wanted to go.

How could she? Given the weight of recent events, Akko felt much more comfortable diving straight back into her work than anything else. There was so much to do, the base was in shambles, the wrigglers needed to be tended to, there was damage control... It was dizzying, really, the amount of things that demanded attention, and she supposed her friends had picked up on her distress and meant well by dragging her away. Didn't mean that Byakko appreciated it at all. They simply didn't have the luxury of time to go goof off, and they completely disregarded her genuine protests which only furthered to sully her mood. The two practically pulled her kicking and screaming from Zeffer's hive; she only relented out of emotional exhaustion.

Akko still didn't want to be there. Not at her event, of all places. Admittedly, she rather liked the overlaying concept of Bloodfest and had maybe-sort-of enjoyed her time at one all those sweeps ago, but that realization only made her protein sack twist with more anger. <******** Marian. Byakko crossed her arms and grumbled bitterly to herself their whole trip, staring emptily out a window.

The mutant found herself overwhelmed by the bright city as the trio arrived. It wasn't that she wasn't accustomed to bustling crowds, or even the impressive displays of wealth highbloods liked to flaunt about, but rather the speed in which Civisect had been erected over the smoldering remains of Old Hemisect. It almost took her by surprise. A guilty pang tugged at her, yet again reminded of her failures as she glanced around the new polished streets and posh business. Akko wandered behind her two friends into the hotel, eyes widening at the realization that they were staying here. She gawked. Sure, she had seen how highbloods lived, but never... experienced it first hand? She had glanced around uneasily, lingering closer to the vicinity of her friends than previously, only relaxing once they retreated to their room and she clawed at the arms of some expensive looking couches. Zeff and Aprife had brightly presented her with a large brimmed sunhat with a flower pin and douchey looking sunglasses, calling it a disguise. Byakko had sighed and accepted if only out of apathy.

As Zeffer dragged her and Aprife outside onto the pier in the name of 'fun', she attempted with little success to break his grasp on her wrist, wrenching and tugging and occasionally hissing while he pulled her down the boardwalk. She yanked his arm up to try and gnaw at his fingers, still unsuccessful in freeing herself from his firm grip. Eventually she seemed to lose some of her verve, and her pace lagged behind her companions, shoulder jerking roughly every now and then as Zeffer tugged at her arm in reminder to keep up. She internally screamed.

Tugging the sunhat down over her face with her free arm as the two turned to address her with mirrored grins, Akko's lip curled into a frown, deep stare obstructed by the tinted sunglasses. "You can," she stated pointedly at the matesprits, loosely shaking her head. "But don't drag me into your nonsense."

Zeffer couldn't help but laugh at their respective reactions. Letting go of Akko for the moment, he drifted over to the clipboard and grabbed a pen. In moments he had scribbled down two entries; one for each of his two quadrantmates. Hurriedly, before Akko could get over and interfere, he waved the two slips at them before jamming them into the ballot box. "Awesome!"

Rasali was having the time of her life at Bloodfest. She always did, but she’d never been so involved in the actual workings of the festivities. It was fun and productive! Two of Rasali’s favorite things. Her only regret thus far was a distinct lack of participation in any of the other booths. Thankfully, that was easily remedied via lunch breaks.

While she normally would have ceded control of her own booth to Aandes while she wandered around, upon spotting this particular booth, she had to go back and fetch her kismesis. ”It’ll just be a couple minutes!” Rasali announced. The unsupervised booth patrons could handle not killing themselves on the rink for that long.

Rasali practically dragged Aandes to the photo booth. ”Look how cute it is! You know what else is cute? We are. Rasali waggled her eyebrows, intent obvious. ”C’mon! I want a souvenir of our first joint effort. I mean, I’ll probably have this brain freeze forever from all the frozen carbonated beverages, but I want something nice for my thermal hull.” Rasali grinned brightly.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Aandes raised his eyebrows. There was no way these trolls would survive unsupervised. They'd already lost a wall, and plenty of trolls had bit it in the rink and scratched up the merchandise and themselves in the process. Of course it was the natural Alternian way, but he still felt somewhat responsible for making sure no one died. Or more importantly, stole any of his merchandise.

She was insistent. Rasali only had an advantage due to her superior strength (and the fact that, in roller skates, Aandes was much easier to tow along). He was, admittedly, also swayed by her calling them cute. Damn right they were cute. He frowned. They were going to be the cutest pair at Bloodfest, damnit. He was sold by competition. "What if I miss the one while I'm away from the booth?" Aandes complained jokingly. His blood pusher reminded him that one of his "ones" was already present, and he groaned as he saw the cute and festive booth come into view.

It was adorable. One of a few quadrants themed booths this Bloodfest, the focus seemed to be on commitment. He wasn't quailing about that any more, for sure, and in fact this would show off that he'd gotten much stronger since filling out his black quadrant. He allowed himself to smile (admittedly it looked like a sneer) at the quaint thought. Photobooths were a fantastic way to show everyone how much better you were at them at things like love and hate. "Fine! I suppose it is more of a success than I could have imagined. But photos on the thermal hull? Really?" Tacky, tacky Rasali. Tacky Rasali was thinking about him. Aandes gave her a toothy grin and slipped into the booth, taking care to watch his 'do.

The blueblood claps her hands and cheers at your entry into the competition. She assures you that your quadrants are the cutest and best and you will definitely win. She then slips you a ticket.

Forera had managed to grab Vulpin before he decided to leave their booth. It had taken her a little convincing, but she had passed by the booth earlier and couldn't help but well, really want those rings. Or just, well, quality time with him, she guessed? Also pictures?! Anything that was evidence of their relationship was enough to get her on board! It felt too recent, like, like it wasn't real. But it was. And she needed proof! "C'mon, babe! While we're here, we should take a quick pic!" She murmured with a smile, tugging her boyfriend over to the booth with a bright smile— No devious tricks, no malicious intent, just... Pure, innocent like. She had never been in a relationship before, and the fact that he's returned her feelings and told her... It really made her feel better. The happiness in her made her want to burst, but hey, if she burst, she wouldn't be able to be with her foxy matespirit, hehe! "But like, let's totally enter the raffle for these really cute rings!!" She gave him a truly radiant smile, happy for the chance to get closer to him, not knowing much but really... Wanting to know more. He was... Someone she could trust. Even if she disliked him in the past and lived to tease him... She felt a connection between them, close and happy. Sure, she was slightly nervous he didn't feel the same, but... Well. Why would he have confessed, then?

Rasali mouthed the words “I suppose it’s more of a success than I could have imagined,” while making a silly face. Eyes rolling, Rasali smirked at Aandes attitude. It was about as good as she was going to get from him. It was exasperating, but compliant enough that she remained chipper. Their relationship was still new enough that every confirmation of it sent flutters through her bloodpusher. She had a quadrant! He was cute! He was a cute boy she could make out with! Rasali was pumped.

”I think the word you’re looking for is ‘classic.’ Not all of us have thermal hulls the size of tanks. The pictures are gonna look cute up there.” Rasali grinned and followed Aandes into the booth.

It was more cramped than Rasali had anticipated, but it was probably for the best. There was no way to accidentally end up out of frame with walls this close. Besides, the proximity added to the romance.

”…You sure you can’t scoot over anymore?” Rasali’s tone was innocent, but the sharp look in her eyes dared Aandes to so much as try commenting on her butt.
PostPosted: Fri Mar 06, 2015 10:35 pm

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Whoof!" Aandes was pushed into the booth and found himself squeezed up next to Rasali. She was giving him that stare. Aandes smiled a genuine smile, nearly snorting with laughter.

He had to say it.

"It'd be easier if photobooths weren't build to accomodate two people," he snarked. Aandes shifted over and patted his lap. "Take a seat, darling."

The timer was going to go off soon anyway, and he didn't want the pictures being of them bickering. He would accept being crushed under the shorter (but stouter) greenblood.

Vulpin smiled. Subtly, yes, but it was still there. Things had changed so quickly with Forera. What happened at Four Fronds turned their relationship on its head. What he thought was a confused hatecrush had turned into a pity unlike any other. Vulpin had never felt so convicted about his emotions before, even if he hardly showed it on the outside. He wanted to protect her, he wanted to be honest with her. Despite going out with her in various disguises, he always felt free to be himself, like he had nothing to hide.

He had so much to thank her for, so much that he felt the need to make up to her for it. She had sacrificed herself for him. Vulpin couldn't ignore that. How could he? He was reminded of it all the time, especially every time they held hands. Thinking about it, he gave her hand a squeeze, and the metal remained unrelenting to the force. He gave her a weak smile.

Looking at her, he instantly felt warmer. She was so excited— excited to be with him, and just thrilled about the idea of them. Her wide, sharktooth grin made his chest bubble happily. She was always so carefree, despite the worst circumstances. Vulpin only wished that he could be like that. Whimsical. If only. He laughed under his breath, following Forera into the photobooth.

Once inside, he wasn't really sure what to do. For the first few photos he simply followed Forera's actions (and a bit halfheartedly, too, in comparison). Then at the end, in a last-ditch effort to be whimsical, Vulpin snaked his arm around her and pulled her close for a kiss on the cheek. He pulled back and smiled, eager to see the silly face of her reaction. "Didn't expect that, did you?" Vulpin replied snidely. He smirked at her. Maybe things weren't as different as how they had started. "Come on, let's go get those rings," He said, goading her out of the booth. They were pretty nice after all, a decent piece of jewelry and not just an object of sentimentality. Vulpin was excited to have both.

”WOW, RUDE.” Rasali glowered. Aandes always had to find a way to get the last word in. It was obnoxious, predictable, and completely unavoidable. She didn’t even have a proper comeback. Rasali steamed.

Aandes offered his lap to her. Rasali continued pouting, but quirked an eyebrow in interest. If he wasn’t such a jerk, she would have offered to be on the bottom. However, if Aandes was going to be so intent on commenting on hersize, then there was clearly no point in trying to be subtle about it.

Rasali practically jumped onto Aandes’ lap. ”Say ‘coagulated lactate sustenance’!” She looped an arm around Aandes’ neck and gave him a peck on the cheek just as the flash went off.

      [+] Kursha Vidari

Kursha allowed Luxara to pull him along with feigned disinterest. Truthfully, he was curious to see what had the greenblood so excited. She had said games were out, so that maybe meant something more domestic. Was it a butcher's booth, a fighting match, a menagerie of captured wild beasts?

None of those as it turned out, nor anything else Kursha could think of. His chest tightened a little as Luxara hauled him towards the booth. It was a photo booth, harmless enough by itself, but themed and decorated with the quadrants. He inhaled gently, then on the exhale forced himself to relax. His shoulders declined a fraction. The sudden tension when he had seen the booth was barely noticeable but he was determined to show no weakness.

“What's wrong with just using your own camera?” Kursha asked, eyeing the booth with his usual disdain. His gaze flickered briefly to the greenblood tugging on his hand. She was smarter than he gave her credit for; he had only just realised that a month and a half ago. However she was still prone to fits of thoughtless whimsy and sentimentality. He had seen it time and time and again. The question tickled the back of his thinkpan: was she cornering him or merely indulging her own childishness?

There was only one way to know for certain, without giving himself away.

“Well, whatever. I'm sure it'll be a blast.” He rolled his eyes. A moment later his grin returned. “Come on, come on! Let's go already! We're wasting starlight!” Taking the lead, Kursha yanked Luxara towards the curtained doorway, suddenly enthused.
