With the days getting longer and warmer, Pistol wasn't able to stay outside on her patrols for long. It meant the nights were shorter, and somehow colder than they had been all winter. She pulled her jacket around her she'd brought from home as she stood on the roof top of one of the buildings closer to downtown area, but wasn't exactly the middle of the mess. In all honesty, Pistol didn't like the hustle and bustle of the city. Still, patrolling was something that had to be done, even if civilians looked at them like terrorists lately.

Stupid media, she thought to herself, crossing her arms over her chest as she kicked at some loose rocks on the top of this building. They were tiny things, pebbles really, but they were something to toy with.

"God it's cold."

Diana had been dozing nearby when she heard a voice mutter something out nearby. Yawning, the kitten stretched out, her little bell tingling, and she peered around. It was shortly after that she saw tiny pebbles rolling about. Her eyes narrowed in on one of them and she shifted to a pounce position, her tail twitching behind her as she grinned.

Within moments she was jumping at the tiny pebble, batting it and chasing after it for a brief moment before she stopped, having trapped it under her paw. A tiny, fanged grin appeared on the kitten’s small face as she rolled the little thing beneath her paw pads. It was only then that something else caught her attention. A weird feeling, one that hadn’t crossed her in some time. With a small tilt of her head, she moved away from the pebble, looking way up.

“Huh.” she mused, seeing another pebble come tumbling down. It took a moment before she remembered the thing that roused her from her nap had been a voice. Someone was up there, and something told her she should be up there as well. Wiggling a bit, she pulled back then pounced up onto a window sill. She continued this process til she got atop the roof.

“Oh…” she quietly mused as both a familiar, and unfamiliar, figure caught her attention. A girl. Was that what she thought it was? It had to be! There was an aura surrounding her that seemed to confirm what she already knew.

Hopping out and onto the rooftop itself, the moon-crested kitten sat there, her bell tingling in the wind as she looked over at Pistol. She didn’t want to get too close, yet, but she at least wanted to draw the girl’s attention.

A chime caught her attention and Pistol looked around. What was chiming? She glanced at the street below her, looking for a youma or...maybe a knight? Maybe a cat? She didn't know, honestly, but that chiming was getting louder.

Blonde pigtails thumped against her collarbone and chest as she kept looking from side to side before she felt the prickle of a familar sort of aura. It was like when she met Ash, only minus the youma energy. Casting her gaze lower, she hummed a little more before spotting what ...looked like a little kitten.

"Ooh.." Pistol crouched down and held her hand out for the other, grinning and wiggling her fingers. "Come here! It's okay... I won't hurt you," she whispered.

Quote:
Diana eyed the wiggling fingers for a moment before she got up to standing on all fours again. She took a few steps forward then stopped. No! She could do this! She wouldn't be distracted by wiggling fingers! That resolve lasted all of 0.001 seconds however, as the fingers wiggled even a little more and the kitten found herself nuzzling her head against them, a squeaky little purr rolling out.

Her bell continued to tingle and chime as her head rolled around for pats. She couldn't really help herself, as much as she wanted to be grown up and just get to business with this senshi, she desperately missed attention! It'd been so long since she'd seen anyone this was just... it was just nice! A tiny paw reached up to bat lightly at Pistol's fingers as Diana continued to purr.

It... wouldn't hurt for another minute, right?

She saw the kitten hesitate in getting to her, and Pistol arched a brow. So she was being cautious, was she? Well, she was a Senshi! Guardian Cats shouldn't be scared of her. With a low noise the blond girl covered in petals waited until she felt that soft fur under her fingers and heard that purr before laughing. "Hey there," she whispered to her, scratching behind her ears. At least until her fingers were suddenly batted at like she was some toy. Interesting.

Pink eyes narrowed as Pistol scooted forward just a bit. "Come on, it's cold, yeah? What's your name? I'm Sailor Pistol." She wanted to be friends. She was friends with Ash, in her own mind anyway, but she wanted to make friends with all the Order cats. However, this one had a moon on her forehead instead of a star. "What's with the moon you have, kitten? You're a special Guardian Cat?"

....She was a guardian cat, right? She gave off the same sort of energy, though it was somehow... different.

Quote:
Diana had enjoyed the ear skritches, but once the questions started, Diana stopped batting at her fingers and sat back, looking up at the senshi. She quietly listened as the girl requested her name and questioned the moon symbol on her head. Diana's own paw reached up to poke at her own symbol there, not certain she understood why this was different. Though, the other cat she'd met some time ago had a star.

"Special? No miss. I don't think so. You're right about the cold though." Diana just grinned up at the girl, excited to speak.

"My name is Diana, it's a pleasure to meet you Sailor Pistol!" her voice was very squeaky, but chipper as she spoke, and she hopped back up on her feet.

A tiny little kitten voice came from the tiny little kitten. What else did she expect? Pistol grinned wide and settled down on her rear end, tucking her jacket underneath her so her rump didn't get cold. Ever so slowly she pulled the kitten even closer to her and then giggled. "Diana.. That's a very cute name. So where did you come from Diana? I've never seen a cat with a moon on their forehead." Clearly she was a brand new cat and didn't know what to expect. She wiggled her fingers at the other again and then scratched along the kitten's sleek back.

"Have you met other senshi before?"

Probably a stupid question, but what else do you ask? Oh what do you eat for breakfast?

Quote:
"Oh!" Diana found herself suddenly pulled closer to the girl, and she was surprised at first! That shock and surprise eased away quickly to contentment. The warm body holding her didn't hurt. Oh, you know, and the scritches and wiggly fingers.... which she happily batted at again, just wanting to play.

"I'm not sure how to say where I come from but I've been here a little while?" she offered as she batted away.

"I've met a couple of other senshi yes! Sailor Merope awhile ago, but I haven't seen him in a very long time. Or my lady, she's gone too." Diana stopped batting a moment, nose wiggling with disastifaction.

"I've seen star kitties before." she offered, "since I've been here at least." to be fair, Diana had never been to Mau, she'd always lived with her parents until she found herself here, so the star symbols were actually more odd to her than crescents.

"What are you doing out here so late and in the cold?" the kitten looked up, curious.

The blonde just giggled more and scratched under Diana's chin a bit, glad they were really similar to normal cats. She had so many cats at home. "Mm. So you've been here a while and just... hid away? I haven't ...Heard of a Sailor Merope." Was that an older, lost Senshi? Ash had mentioned some of the senshi were lost, dead, or just not powering up. It made her a bit sad to think that some of the senshi fighting the war were dead. ...But it was... a war, she supposed.

"Your lady?" She gave a little curious nsoe before the subject was changed to the kitties again. "Mm. I know of two with stars. Their names are Ash and Yumi. I don't know where Ash is most of the time, but I know Yumi is found with Sailor Kepler!" Then a question was posed to her and Pistol's eyebrows shot up. "Patrolling for youma and Negaverse agents. I... haven't ran into many yet, but... It doesn't mean I won't."

Quote:
"Mostly hiding yes, miss." she nodded. In all honesty she'd been scared and it'd been simpler to lay low. She'd still have been hiding if the pebbles hadn't drawn her attention, really. Being alone for that long though was making her appreciate the company all that much more now.

"Merope was nice, funny!" Diana mused, thinking back with a smile. "I have not sensed him in a long time though, so I am not certain what happened to him..." her ears drooped down a little. It saddened her to think he may be gone. She only hoped that she was simply missing his signal.

"I don't know those names." Diana offered as Pistol began to speak about the other guardians she knew, and the senshi name was unfamiliar as well! That was okay though, maybe she could meet them later. She listened to Pistol explain what she was doing out there and it all made sense.
"Well, it's good that you are vigilant miss." she nuzzled the senshi a bit.
"It's always best to be prepared, after all. "

It was sad to think Diana was hiding, but she must have had her own reasons. It's not like she was going to ask about them. She continued to pet and stroked over the kitten's back as she talked and tilted her head to the side, listening carefully and humming. So Merope was a male senshi? That was an odd thing to think about. A male senshi was definitely something she hadn't come across yet, but she was very, very new to this war.

"Hey, buck up," she murmured slowly, tapping under her chin before sighing. "Well, it's what I was told to do. We have to get the balance back on our side and somehow eliminate the Chaos faction!"

That was all they had to do, right?

"I won't be out here for long though," Pistol said, blowing a mouthful of air out, watching it turn into whips and blow away in the wind. "Waaay too cold. Hey, do you have anywhere warm to sleep?"

Quote:
"That's right!" Diana squeaked her agreement with Pistol's sentiment. "Restore things to the way they should be, miss!" Diana liked this senshi, she seemed pretty level headed and with a good head on her shoulders. At least, she had an optimistic outlook on things. That would serve her well in the future. She arched her back as Pistol stroked her fur, her purr starting up once more.

"Oh uh.." Diana blinked at Pistol's next question. Silent for a moment before pawing at her own nose a little bit.

"I just kinda, go wherever I can find, miss." the kitten offered. She was pretty good at finding places though! So that was good!

"The lone wanderer kitten, Diana, adventurer extraordinaire!" She giggled a bit at her own words and just hummed a little bit. "Do you want to come home with me tonight? You can get a warm bed, some good food. I have milk and cream and I think we have tuna..." Normally things not reserved for the cats, because they were basically barn cats that lived outside at all times, but she'd give it to the kitten if Diana wanted to come home with her. "If so, I'm gonna have to cart you home in my coat, if that's okay?"

Quote:
Diana was right there, giggling with her at the new title. "I like that miss!" she laughed and nuzzled against the senshi a bit. Her tiny face turned to look up at Pistol as she offered her home to her for the night, and her already large eyes seemed larger and softer. It was a kind offer, and one she was surprised by.

"That... I would like that, miss." there was a slight nodding to her head and the bell around her neck chimed off as it bobbed with the motion.

"I don't mind that," she motioned at her coat, "you are very kind." a slight pause, "Thank you."

Pistol just grinned wider and tugged the kitten against her before stuffing her as carefully as she could in her winter coat, nestled somewhere in her stomach. "Just stay still and you'll be fine." She giggled a bit more and stroked Diana over her coat before standing up. How this was going to work was up to anyone, but Pistol was determined to get the kitten safe for at least one night.

After she worked up the courage, she lept off towards her home. Getting used to jumping as far and high as she could wasn't coming easy to her. Pistol wasn't sure she could get used to it, in all honesty. Still... homeward bound they were.
