[Solo RP] Finding Clues to My Past [[ Shika-Nijiiro ]]

Shika's herd and family where attacked by skin and pure walkers. It was when she was a filly. This nightmare caused her to locked up her memories about that time. It was a bloody day that scarred her in more ways then one but she was one of the lucky few that got away from the bloody show that the skin and pure walkers displayed. This was the first time Shika learned to fear those that have pelts. She was loved and now she was left with nothing as she watched her mother be killed and eaten in front of her while she hid. She was told not to move. So she didn't. She just closed her eyes as tightly as she could until the world went silent then she opened them slowly to see the horror left behind. Running away from that place. She soon found two Fluttercorn foals whose parents were also killed by the walkers. After finding Shadow and Tsumetai who adopted her as their sister, she then forgot about her past and what had happened to her. Locking it up tightly into her mind. Hidden from herself as it rests deeply in the darkness only to one day awaken to show itself to her.

But that is only about her past. Now she is looking for any of her family members that might have lived. She recalls that her mother dead but what about her father and maybe she had a few siblings. Although she looks to be full Cerynei she recalls the calming flutter butterfly looking wings like her adoptive brother and sister had in her blood family. Maybe it was her father. Oh and what if her siblings had them too. Maybe that is why being around Shadow and Tsumetai is so calming and relaxing. Those wings she recalled from her childhood. Smiling as she has been looking for years for anyone of her old herd. In this time she found a new family that keeps growing as well as a lover. Oh her lover was a sweet one she just loved Kwaho for he always knew just how to make her at ease. There was something that she couldn't figure out about him and that was the fact that he always seemed to know when she needed him to put her mind at ease. He has even helped her gather clues to her old herd just as Shadow and Tsumetai and the others of her adoptive family has done and now she has a lead. It is time to set out and follow this lead. Maybe now she will find a herd member or even a family member by blood.

Although to her family is those that love you and support you no matter what. It isn't just about the blood bond.

But still she wishes to learn of her past and to see if any of her family or herd mates escaped the skinwalkers that day. She doesn't recall if they were of the pure or cursed kind just that they were evil and they tore her family and herd apart killing many. Like her mother who fell in order to protect her. But maybe just maybe others were still alive. After all these years of traveling to find the answers. Shika's memories are starting to come back. First of all the one about her mother. So maybe just maybe more memories would unlock and show themselves to her. If that were to happen then maybe she would know just who it is that she is looking for. For now it is just those that might look like her. Rumors of a stallion that fit what she is looking for has she traveling and looking in the area that she now finds herself in. Praying that the rumors have a bit of truth to them she scans the area and picks a spot to camp out at under some trees so that she isn't in the open for dangerous things to find her.

The sun has set and the Moon high in the night sky. So it was about the time that she settles down for some sleep. Maybe in the morning she can get a better look of this area. It is a big area that this rumored stallion has been seen in so she will have a lot of looking and walking about before she knows for sure. And even then he could be on one side of this area while she is on the other side. Leaving them to never reach each other. Knowing her luck that is just what might happen so maybe she should stay in the area for a few days before heading home just in case. That might make the odds better for this rumored stallion and herself to meet while she is here. Sighing as she is laying under the trees semi hidden from the world. Looking up at the stars. "Please if there is a higher power. Let me find something promising." She points out as she slowly closes her eyes and lays her head on her front leg to sleep.

Her mind clearing for the night so that sleep may come. One last thought of her families. Both the one she has now and the one she is looking for. Home is where the Heart is. This means one can have many homes. This thought calms her mind as she drifts off to sleep. The Night is nice and cool as a breeze blows over her.

Searching all night as it is now mid-day and the hot sun sears down on Shika. Panting as her coat is wet from sweat as she steps lightly as she can. Normally in the summer she avoids traveling about the day time. But maybe that is the reason she couldn't find any answers. Maybe her kin traveled in the light of the sun. Then that might explain why she couldn't find any of them when she avoided traveling at day time.

Shika sighing as she is losing hope until she sees a flash of black and rainbow markings. Was this what she has been looking for? Oh only if it was just what she was looking for. Maybe it could be. After all she is where her adoptive family said that they had heard rumors of someone that might be part of her family in this area so she brightens up and starts to go after it. What she does not know it that this is nothing but the heat playing tricks on her mind. This mishap might even break her.

Running after what she believes is real as she has no clue what this heat is doing to her. More so because the sun is attracted to her mainly black coat.

Darting between trees in and out of the sun light as she is now panting harder then before. This happened to her once a long time ago when she was little and it was after that, that she made of her mind to avoid the sun in the summer time. But that was so long ago that she had forgotten this feeling and what it did to her. Forgetting that it had made her mind play tricks on her. Just like it is now. Maybe if she can recall that time right now then it would help her out. So as she darts about following an illusion her mind has created.

She pouts a bit as she can not seem to catch up to this black rainbow painted illusion. Though she believes it is real as she looks about until she sees this creation run right through a tree. This made Shika stop in her tracks as she is in the shade. Seeing a pond as she slowly walks up to the pond and stomps her hoof down at the edge of the water. Once splashed she realizes that the pond is real o she steps into it to cool off. Pouting more and more as she is now in the pond laying down and getting cooled off as she realizes that it was the heat causing her mind to play tricks on her.

Tears falling from her eyes as she cries when laying there wishing to avoid summer forever.

Falling asleep while laying in the cool pond as she can still feel the heat of the sun beating down on her. Would she ever be able to find any missing family members or herd members of her old life? Sighing as she wishes that she would be able to. Loving her life now. But wanting to regain what she once had. Was it just too much for one to wish for? It was seeming that way. All of her searching is coming up with nothing each time. Was it going to continue this way? Was fate just laughing at her? Oh all these questions were not helping her keep face. The hope and flame in her eyes at the start of this journey seems like they are fading and Shika just does not know how to continue on at the moment.

With all of these things going on through her mind while sleeping in the coolness of the pond. Soon the beating heat that was tricking her mind seemed as if it were starting to fade. Not soon or quick enough. Maybe traveling at night would be better. Maybe then that flame and hope would return and she would have the heart to continue looking for what she once had. Not that finding it now would destroy her family that she is with now. But it would add to it. That was a wondrous thought as she continues to sleep while running all of this through her mind. Thinking about all this while sleeping was Shika's way of collecting her thoughts so that she does not have a mental break down.

After all once that mental break down happens. Shika might just give all of this up and stop her journey to find her past and blood family. Because after that, she would not be able to handle it anymore. Her mind would fall into depression if she allowed a mental break down to take place now. That is something she can not allow to happen. There were ways to stop that from coming into play. The sleeping and collecting her thoughts was the main way. Others were to sing, dance, or play a game. Something happy. Before she knew it. There was no more beating heat on her coat. Her eyes open slowly as she sees that it is now night fall.

Slowly getting up and out of the water. She shakes to get most of the water off of her body. Then slowly looking about scanning the area again. Thanks to a full moon. The night was rather bright. So taking steps to continue her journey was not going to be a problem now. But the darker nights might be a problem for Shika. Although she will worry about that when it comes.
