You come upon a teal-and-green booth staffed by two girls of those same blood colors. At first it seems they might be children, but, oh god, they're actually teenagers! They're just tiny! Small and enthusiastic, at that. Uh oh, you've just made eye contact with one of them. Before you know it, they're calling you over to try their game. Between the two of them, there's too much pep to say no. You're doomed. Fate's been sealed. Now all you can do is get trigger happy.

Graphics by quite uneventful who is DA BEST

This game resets at 12am EST every night booths are open. RP fills can be done whenever, but your three rolls MUST be in before that time to count for that day!

This is a simple beginner's shooting game! A decrepit hunting rifle is provided to hit wooden targets and score some points! No bonuses for shooting anything else, however. In fact, that's worth a penalty. And penalties are bad. Play nice and no one has to lose an eye! Speaking of eyes, no one's allowed to use any sight-based powers to help them along. You know who you are.

There are nine targets total organized in an even three rows (three targets per row). The first three are the easiest to hit, middle row is medium difficulty, and the last row is the hardest.
The player gets three tries at shooting targets per day. They can aim at any target in any row and switch between targets and rows if they like. But again there are only three shots per participant each day, so use them wisely!
After each shot, please edit in the form below was well as an in-character response of at least 20 words!

Player form:
Copy-pasting this form means the participating troll is waiving all rights to seek compensation from Luxara Seleni and/or Forera Serpen if the player troll shoots themself in the eye, gets shot in the eye, shoots their foot, or any other booth-related injuries. : D

Troll name: (Who are you WHO WHO, WHO WHO)
Target: (ex: row 2, center)
Day's point total: (Keep track of your points, please-- we will be counting to see if they are correct! This space is for every separate DAY'S points; the accumulated total will be on the scoreboard!)

If you're aiming in the FIRST ROW

Roll a 1d4 dice!

Results:
1

You're not leaning hard enough into the rifle, and the kick-back screws up your aim! Miss.

2
Your hands are shaking, so you use the scope to make up for it. It's a silly and kinda amateur move, but you've got a clear sight of those sweet, sweet wooden targets. Down to the groove, even! You hit and score 2 points!

3
You ask for assistance properly holding the weapon. Maybe you've never held a gun before or hope it'll better your odds. After all, it's not REALLY cheating. For the most part. After one of the girls meticulously perfects your form and stance, you shoot. You hit and score 2 points! Make sure to thank your new sensei!

4
Luxara comments that you could do this with your eyes closed. So, you do exactly that. Why would you do something like this? What a terrible idea! Oh well. Too late. You open your eyes again and find that you managed to nick the target. Optimism won this round. You score 2 points!

If you're aiming in the SECOND ROW

Roll a 1d6 dice!

Results:
1
You're not leaning hard enough into the rifle, and the kick-back screws up your aim! Miss.

2
Someone bumps into you right as you're about to get a headshot. Ruuuude. Miss.

3
It's hard to concentrate with the booth runners chatting so much. You keep aiming, losing your focus, and waiting for them to shut the hell up. But it's a fruitless exercise. Eventually you just learn how to drown them out and hit to score 4 points!

4
Forera suddenly cackles, making you jolt and pull the trigger pre-emptively. You're prepared to flip out and claim she rigged your shot, but as you look at the target...you hit it close to the center? What? You score 4 points!

5
Luxara comments that you could do this with your eyes closed. So, you do exactly that. Why would you do something like this? What a terrible idea! Oh well. Too late. You open your eyes again and find that...yeah. It was an awful idea through and through. Miss!

6
This target is looking at you funny. You swear. As if it might make it stop, you shoot with extreme prejudice. Apparently hate-filled aim is on your side and you score 4 points.

If you're aiming in the THIRD ROW

Roll a 1d10 dice!

Results:
1
It's hard to concentrate with the booth runners chatting so much. You keep aiming, losing your focus, and waiting for them to shut the hell up. But it's a fruitless exercise. Eventually you just learn how to drown them out. You score 6 points!

2
You're starting to question if going for the farthest row was a good idea. The doubt makes your hands start to shake a little, and you miss. Try thinking more positive next time!

3
Someone bumps into you right as you're about to get a sweet headshot. Ruuuude. Miss.

4
You've been watching others' posture when they shoot at the back row. You take a chance and copy them even if it feels unnatural to you. It's not working!! Fail!

5
You decide to go no-scope. Miss.

6
You're not leaning hard enough into the rifle, and the kick-back screws up your aim! Miss.

7
Forera suddenly cackles, making you jolt and pull the trigger pre-emptively. Miss. You look at her ready to pitch a fit, and she sticks her tongue out in turn. Ruuuuude.

8
You slide your finger onto the trigger nervously and aim when suddenly Forera jumps out of nowhere and screams in your ear. You freak out and shoot up. Fail!

9
You unconsciously step on Luxara's coat as she walks past behind you. The fabric yanking out from under you makes you stumble. Miss.

10
Realizing there's a scope attached to the gun, you do the sensible thing and use it. While the glass is chipped and cracked in some places, it sure does help. You score 6 points!

(will do 60 words in this post, pls let me know if it's ok to do them all at once! regina goes big or goes home)

Regina had to pause at this booth, if it wasn't the pep then it was the fact that the two trolls staffing it were actually at her own eye level. Grinning back at the two girls, she pushed her sunglasses up her nose and picked up the old rifle. "You know, I can't say I ever gave ranged stuff much of a try. Kinda hard to use anything apart from harpoons underwater. But hey, let's see how this thing works!" Hefting it onto her shoulder she paused. "Nice booth by the way." It had weapons, and she could get behind that. Turning to aim, she set her sights on the back row without thought. Why bother doing anything else?
PostPosted: Mon Mar 02, 2015 2:13 pm

It was hard not to notice the first troll to try their booth! Forera gave the troll an excited wave and watched her shoot her stuff, jumping from her seat on the booths table and grinning at her words. Also quirking an eyebrow at the underwater thing? But not really minding it cause she liked to shoot things underwater too. Though it didn't always work, auggh. When she complimented their booth, Forera's eyes shone. Of COURSE people would like it!! It was so great, right?! Maybe she should help this troll a bit! "It's reaaaal easy, y'just—" She didn't even get the chance to explain before watching her shoot two targets effortlessly. Her eyebrows shot up, and a grin spread across her face. "Oh. My. GOG, that was SO AWEEESOME!" She said with a giggle, "Are you like, sure you've never done this before?" She flexed her mech slightly and wiggled her eyebrows, placing her healthy hand on her hip and watching the girl, impressed. SURE, she was a bit strange as it was extremely hot outside and she was wearing like, a scarf, but whaaatever. She was cool in her book so far!

Luxara was right there with Forera, hyped beyond belief that their booth was already getting some attention. However, she had to pause when the visitor talked about 'harpoons underwater'. "Like...shooting them into the water or using them underwater?" Two very different things, for sure. And she couldn't see Regina's fins with the scarf and all. Rera quickly drowned Luxara out, though, but that didn't mean the greenblood wasn't as impressed at the self-professed amateur's shots.

She nodded in agreement when Rera said it was awesome. "You're a natural! I've been doing this kind of thing for a while and I don't think I'd be able to sharpshoot like that after, just, y'know, picking up a new gun the first time! Whoa." It was a great first run, that was for sure. And, as an afterthought. "Glad you like the booth! Hope you'll wanna come back again the rest of Bloodfest!"

Troll name: Cebass Lusita
Target:1st shot row 3
Day's point total: 6

After his bad luck so far, Cebass was feeling a little less enthusiastic about his time here so far. He did hold that mild hope that he would probably do something right and have fun with it, but right now he felt a little bit on the dispirited side. He looked over the booth and shrugged, why not give it a try?

With all that he could muster Cebass gave a cheerful smile towards the patrons and owner of the booth. "Nice shoooting there!" he said with a bit of amazement. "I'm more of a hand to hand type," He admitted with a bit of a false humility. He lifted the gun and aimed for his target at the back and fired. To his surprise he hit his target! Cebass let out a celebratory shout. This had made his day just a little bit better.

      [+] Kursha Vidari

Troll name: Kursha Vidari
Target: Row 3
Day's point total: 18 (Deal with it, bitches.)

Arms crossed, Kursha eyed the shooting both with mixture of feigned contempt and very real disdain. On one hand, it was a shooting booth, just the sort of thing he excelled at. On the other... it was run by two of the most obnoxious people on the face of Alternia. Well, at least one was obnoxious. The other was annoying in an endearing sort of way. But not too endearing. Just endearing enough that she was tolerable.

Even Kursha had to admit he was doing some furious mental back-pedalling.

He was saved from from any further emotional tangles when a teenage troll stepped up to the booth and landed two shots easily. His eyes narrowed. Tough competition. He would just have to prove tougher. Next up was a young seadweller. Kursha rolled his eyes when the small troll hit the target and let out a celebratory whoop. If he thought that was something worth getting excited about, he had another thing coming.

“Not bad... Mind if I see that?” It was not really a question. Lifting the aged firearm out of the boy's hands, Kursha examined the weapon. It was an ancient piece of crap but all the parts appeared to be in working order. The barrel had been recently cleaned, and the breech chamber operated smoothly. He gave the scope on the frame a nudge; almost, but not quite. Then, flashing a lazy grin at the pair of seadwellers, he raised the stock to his shoulder.

Letting out a breath, Kursha focussed on the targets. He could hear Luxara yammering excitedly next to him. At him. It was hard to tell. God, her voice was like a whistle in his brain. Shut up, please.

After a moment, he managed to tune her out. Cheek pressed against the side of the firearm, Kursha closed an eye. The targets came into focus. He took aim.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The only time between shots was the time it took to reload. Smoking bullets penetrated the targets. He hit every one of course. Turning away, Kursha pulled the rifle down from his shoulder. He winked at the shade-wearing troll. Eat dirt. Then he turned his attention to Luxara. Giving the rifle a short twirl, he proffered it to the greenblood. An enormous grin was spread over his face.

“Ya might consider moving the targets back another fifty yards.”
PostPosted: Mon Mar 02, 2015 3:18 pm

It was nice to see a kid come up to the booth and try his hand at the game. Even better that he hit a back target with his first shot! Luxara was happy for him even though he was, well, a seadweller for sure. It was hard to avoid worrying a bit when seeing a highblood with a weapon while she didn't have her crossbow, but it was just a momentary reflex. No one could be a real threat with the guns even if they wanted to. At least not the kids. And trying to start something at an event like this would be in poor taste anyway. No one would be a troublemaker. It was fine. "Good job, little buddy!" Luxara enthused, even though she wasn't that much taller than the average child.

That half-panicky moment passed quickly, though, as a familiar face came up to the booth. "Kur!" Her slightly-stiffened smile blossomed into a huge happy grin. "I didn't know you were coming! Welcome to Trigger Happy! Glad you could make it to Bloodfest!" Most of her friends were here. It was great! Exciting. But she had to sass him despite how glad she was. "You didn't have to take the kid's gun, y'know. We have..." Luxara trailed off as Kursha hit every back target with amazing accuracy. "...more." She just kind of stared up at him as he twirled the gun all moobeast ranger-like before handing it to her. "Y-yeah, uh..." Luxara shook her head, snapping out of it. "Yeah, well, this is a game for everyone, not just us pros, Kur," she retorted.

Troll name: Poeias Claudy (why is the blind kid doing all these games??)
Target: Row 3 for all of them!
Day's point total: 0, way to keep in character Poe

Poe finds he really likes the energy of all the shooting games, and since he's not winning any of the dart games... "I've never shot a gun before!" he said to the two girls running the booth. He was excited to try though! Even though he absolutely cannot see, he still had to... give it a shot. He laughed at his own joke no one heard, and fires off three times, missing completely each and every chance he got. "I'll guess I'll never become a sniper," he said laughing again.

PostPosted: Mon Mar 02, 2015 5:46 pm

He couldn't help but stare at the Greenbloods shots. It was impressive, hitting one target after another. Okay those were very impressive. However, there was something to be addressed here. The young seadweller was more than just a little irritated with the gun being pulled out of his hand when he was having such a good streak. "Excuse me I, in fact, did mind you know," Cebass folded his arms a clear glower aimed at the lowblood that had taken his weapon.

"Sure that was impressive, but I would have given it to you when I was done, which I obviously wasn't," Cebass said unfolding his arms, one hand on his waist. "Furthermore, you should have given it back instead of handing it there," his free hand gestured to the troll with the long coat. "Don't you think?"

He held his hand out for the gun. "I want to finish my shots that this one so rudely interrupted," He was so focused on the filth that had interrupted him that he didn't take notice of the failed shots of the newest guest.

      [+] Kursha Vidari

Kursha rolled his eyes, both at Luxara and the seadweller. Luxara he had already pegged as a killjoy (despite secretly hoping she would be more impressed) but he should have expected as much from a seadwelling brat. All uppity just because he borrowed his gun for a second. The kid needed to chill out and get over himself.

“Blah, blah, blah.” Kursha mimed flapping lips with his hand. “Yeah, sure, whatever. Go knock yourself out, kid.” He turned his attention to Luxara. “Hey look, I'm gonna go check out the rest of the booths. See what's what, maybe start a few fires... figuratively speaking. It was nice visiting though. Maybe I'll see you around later?” He raised an eyebrow at Luxara expectantly.

“Anyway, gotta run. Have fun!” As he turned to leave, he gave the seadwelling kid a playful slap on the shoulder. A moment later he was weaving away through the crowd. “And really! Fifty yards! Consider it!” he called. With his back to them, he waved and then disappeared.
