 A young nymph squeaked, being caught out in the rain. It was just a light drizzle, but it was enough to cause curly hair to curl even further, into quite possibly a good approximation of an afro atop her head. Realizing this, Nicky groaned, ducking under what she thought would be a good tree to keep her hair at least a little dry.
Keeping her brilliant ruby eyes closed, she reached out to lean into what she had assumed was a tree with nice leafy branches. That was weird, this tree was warm... And soft, not rough at all like bark normally was. Nicky frowned, cracking an eye and squinting. Her vision was terrible, and now it seemed like it was completely gone. Black, that was all she could see. Tossing the idea of seeing aside, she poked at the 'tree' again. "Good Venus this is a weird tree!" She grumbled, only to realize this wasn't a tree. It was a pae.
It was a pae! Oh Guardians what was she doing?! "OhmygoshI'msosorry!" She rushed, pulling away from whoever it was she'd just been molesting with her blindness.

 Rain. He didn't know what about it that made him feel like something special was lurking just around the bend. Like the anticipation of opening a present, or walking into a dark cave. It gave him the rush that he tried to instill in others, a zest of life. So when he was caught in it when he was out for a walk, he did not flee for cover. No, Baliel embraced it. He stretched his wings out and tilted his head back to feel the water droplets splash upon his features. No one would really be out in this, so he didn't need to keep a look out for potential fun. It was just him and the rain.
Satisfying rain.
At least, he thought was alone. His head straightened as his deep crimson eyes opened at the sound of splashing. A fae? With quite the fro! It was just about all he had time to think about before she ducked under his wing and against his body. Then proceeded...to poke him. He opened his mouth to correct her, but she was already jumping back with an apology. How had she not noticed he was a pae? How could she possibly think him a tree-ohhh...Eyesight?
He grinned broadly, and lowered his voice to a low and rough tone. "Oh, you should be." Baliel spoke in he hoped was intimidating manner, while taking a step forward into a puddle so she'd hear him advance. Just a little fright.

Nicky squeaked, blinking furiously in an attempt to see who it was she'd wronged. But then they started moving towards her! With a squeal of fright, she started backing up.
"I'msosorryIdidn'tmeantomistakeyouforatreeeeeeee!" She squealed, taking another step back. One more step and she managed to slide into a puddle deep enough to completely soak her from mid chest level down to her butt, now sitting in muddy water.

The squeak, the hurried excuse, and ending in a puddle of water?! Baliel doubled over in laughter, practically howling until tears appeared in his eyes. Too, too perfect. As he got control of himself again, he straightened and walked over. "Oh, I'm just pulling your leg. Let me help you up." He leaned forward to gently touch her shoulder so she'd know where his hand was.

The nymph's wings flared in a slight burst of annoyance. Was he really just pulling her leg? She'd been so scared! But then, if she thought about it enough, it actually was kinda funny. Her look of annoyance quickly turned to one of gratitude though, as she reached up to touch the offered hand.
"Thanks. That was a good one." Nicky offered, squinting at the blob that was helping her. It was so hard to see with the rain clouds blocking out the sunlight and being in a loosely packed area. Halfway up she winced, letting go of him and plopping back into the puddle. "Ow!"

How nice of her to appreciate a good joke! Most pae just glared at him. He started to pull her back on her feet, but her legs turned to jelly midway up with a sharp cry. His eyes went wide. He had hurt her?!
"Ah, I didn't meant to have you get hurt. Sorry." It was all fun and games until someone got injured. His pranks were supposed to be meaningless gages, and only cause stitches of the metaphorical kind. He dropped down beside her in the puddle, not caring much for the wetness as he was already soaked. "Want me to take a look at it?" Just like that the jokester was serious.Dementia Requiem Asumi Baliel is like sour patch gummy's. First he's sour, than he's sweet.

Nicky winced a little, playing it up. She'd hurt herself plenty of times just walking around without someone to guide her, she knew exactly how to act for something seriously injured. "Oh my gosh there must have been something in the puddle!" She reached into the water to rub at a random spot on her leg. She was almost certain he'd figure it was what had gotten hurt.
It wasn't until he was in the puddle next to her that she turned from in pain to giggling. "Not hurt~" The nymph giggled, standing up neatly on her own. Nothing had been injured at all.

He looked concernedly at her leg, trying to see if there was a scratch or mark. He didn't see....The instant she started laughing, he knew he had been had. "You got me." How had he fallen for the oldest trick in the book? Baliel stood after her, shaking his head.
Who was this girl that not only laughed at his prank, but pranked him back? No one got the beauty of his tricks. "So, you were trying to escape from the rain back there." He extended one of his crimson tipped wings again. "I'll shield you on your way home. I really don't mind being a tree. You could say I'm...all bark and no bite." The silver haired angel chuckled at his own corny joke. He was his own best entertainer sometimes.

She bowed, still smiling. It was probably the only one she could pull off with any decency at all. "You got me pretty good too Sir." The nymph returned, standing back up. And then she blushed. Was he really holding a wing over her head for her?
And a terribly corny joke. So bad she couldn't help but laugh a little at it. "Alright Tree, but any funny business and you have to make like one and leaf."

Letting her duck under his wing, he chuckled even more at her own corny joke. "Me? If I do, you can cut me down. Just don't board me to death." Another laugh. "Which way is your home ms....?" He led in towards, genuinely interested with the blue nymph.

Nicky shook her head. He topped the corny charts. "Nicky. And I have no idea." She blinked, looking in the exact opposite position his head was actually in. She thought she saw a blob there, but who could tell. "Best I can figure it's in the direction I came from, wherever that is..." She shrugged. An unwanted adventure, but an adventure none the less. Plus she got to meet someone who was way more corny than she was!
"Where are we anyway?"

Where was she looking? And he didn't rightly recall what direction she came from. How did she live day to day if this was a daily obstacle? "Well....we're just out of Ithyl Forest." Which explained why she thought him a tree. Probably stumbled out of it or was walking alongside it. "I'd recommend my place that's not too far, but it's a bit of a mess." Bachelor male living and all.

"Why do I have the feeling that I'm a long way from home?" She mumbled upon hearing where they were. She shook her head, smiling up at him. Or at least, that's what she thought she was doing. "I couldn't see it to make fun of it. You won't be creepy or anything will you?" Nicky raised an eyebrow. With her luck, she was probably talking to a tree. But there was a blob in front of her, she assumed it was the guy helping her.

"Sounds like my kind of luck." He spoke with a laugh before edging slightly backwards so she'd stop talking to a tree, and more so at him. She really could not see worth a lick, could she? "Me? Creepy? Nah. Pain in the tuckus sure, but not a creep." First time he brought a girl home at it was only to get out of the rain. He had zero game. "If you're sure though, I'll lead the way....uh. Do you want me to hold your hand or...."

Nicky blinked, there was a moving blob. Okay. She was talking to a tree. Taking it in stride, she shifted her head, and hopefully her gaze, to the blob she was pretty sure that'd moved. "So far I think I'm the pain in the rearend. She mumbled, not really wanting to give credit to that. But she'd said it aloud, he'd likely heard it. Not that she could really tell how far away the other was.
"You might want to hold my hand or something if you don't want me to get lost. It's getting darker and I already can't see anything, it's even worse when it's dark out." She shrugged, acting like this wasn't a big deal to begin with. Of course it was! She was about to go to a strange man's house without having met him before and trust that he wasn't going to do something really weird to her! Her family would be so mad at her for just wandering off though, she wasn't really ready to go back and face all of them yet.
