The text had been - well frankly a surprise, to Corinth. He had actually really not expected the other girl to text him - but then again, he had given her the number with the express intent for her to get in touch with him if she needed a partner - and since it was an off night for him and Dallol to patrol, he figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to at least keep an eye on her. "I'm heading out, I'll be back late," Corinth - as Darren - had called out into the kitchen as he'd left the house, grabbing car keys as he went, and ignoring his step-mother's angry 'like hell you are' reply with a single finger salute. He was so ready to start at DCU. Or for his mother to get a divorce - in either case he'd made up his mind to not listen to a damn thing his step-mother said period. He'd driven for about fifteen minutes before he parked the car, powered up, and started toward went to the prescribed meeting place Harmonia had suggested. He kept his mind open for an aura that told him that she was already there - he hoped she wasn't waiting for him.

Chailee had to wait a little longer than usual to sneak out of the house and had to waste quite a bit of time putting on a show that she was nestled snug in her bed for the evening. PJ's and all included. It was going to be her first night back out on patrol. Everything but her jaw had healed up and the only thing left was a green and yellow half healed bruise. It was fading though and in a few more weeks her jaw would be fully healed as well. She'd just need to be careful for the time being. So, once she was sure that her parents were sound asleep, and she waited quite some time after the lights in the house had gone off, Chailee had hopped out of bed, assembled her blankets and pillows to look like she was still curled up in it in case her parents checked in on her, before unlatching her window and hurrying off to her usual alley to power up. Powering up for the first time since the incident felt...well...a little unnerving at first but she pushed that uneasy feeling aside and hurried off to meet with Corinth. She had been so relieved he had agreed to meeting up tonight. She really had no interest in going it alone right now. Hopping from roof to roof, she knew she was late and tried to pick up the pace all the while focusing on keeping herself open to sensing auras. As she drew nearer to the meeting point she noted a familiar power moving in the same general direction as her and smiled. Seems they were both running a bit late. She stopped in the appointed area just as she caught saw of Corinth. Raising up an arm she waved to him, already knowing that he probably knew she was there.

Corinth saw Harmonia and waved back, landing on the next roof and waiting for her to join him. Once she got close enough, he saluted her by bumping his fist against his chest. "Well met, Harmonia, how do you fair tonight?" Sure it was melodramatic but he could already see just by the way she held herself she could use a little cheering up - and this girl lived for fantasy so he might as well give her a little of the bard. "Welp, we have all night - and if it gets late enough I can drive you home, I have my car parked not too far from here... well my step-mom's car but still." Yep, he took her car - because reasons.

Harmonia didn't waste any time in joining him. A few quick calculated jumps and she was contently upon the same roof. Any other night such a salute from a young man would have caused Harmonia to blush but tonight she smiled. "I am well. And yourself?" She truthfully was hoping for a quiet easy patrol. In fact, she had assumed that being with Corinth meant they would go along his usual route and she was quite happy to tail along and enjoy the company of someone else as she eased back into this. I just need to calm down and not freak out tonight. I'll be fine then. She walked walked over to him. "I'd really rather avoid being out too late tonight. I don't want my parents to find me missing from bed. I don't need to be grounded on top of their hoovering." She sighed and rolled her eyes at the thought of how suffocating her mother and father had been.

"Everything okay at home?" Corinth asked, not even thinking that his question was invasive. He nodded at her initial statement, and clicked his tongue at the thought of how he was right then. "I am well, and in the company of a pleasant companion, so I cannot complain." He chuckles then, giving her a little wink. "We can take it easy tonight, I'm here to blow off some steam myself. I was actually thinking you didn't want my help for awhile there..." It'd been a few weeks - he figured she'd of texted him sooner, but he was sure she had her reasons. Like working up the nerve to see him again - sure.

She shrugged noncomitally at his question. "It'll be fine in I am sure in a few weeks. Just have to work through some trust issues. Once they stop feeling that they need to check up on me constantly." She nodded though and breathed a little sigh of relief but felt bad when he admitted he didn't think she'd ever text him. "I am sorry. I kinda...forgot." that was a fair enough excuse. She really had forgotten and then things happened and she just never thought about texting him until now. "Anyway, an easy night sounds great." She smiled again before brushing some stray hair away from her face and tucking it behind her ear in annoyance. "Want to take your usual route?"

"Naw, let's change things up a little bit - I don't want to wake the girlfriend up." Corinth said with a soft laugh. "She needs her rest." To be fair so did he, but he wasn't about to leave Harmonia in the lurch. "I haven't scoped out this part of town yet, so we can get to know it better." Turning he watched her for a moment. "What sorta trust issue? Did you get yourself in trouble?"

Oh...okay." She nodded her agreement to 'switching it up' though wasn't feeling all that confident and pleased about it. I am being ridiculous right now. He's going to know something happened if I keep acting like this. "I just thought you'd want to be closer to your girlfriend that's why I suggested meeting here." There. That sounded normal right? And of course he was going to push her about her parents. "It's really nothing important as long as I make it home early enough for them to never notice I was missing." She walked past him as a cold winter breeze blew across the rooftops rustling her skirts and hair. She enjoyed the crispness of it as it helped clear her poor muddled mind and center her a bit. She glanced over her shoulder. "Want to lead the way? I'll just follow along tonight."

Corinth nodded, and moved to lead on, as he walked by her her smirked. "Sure thing, I promise tonight will be pretty easy, I haven't sensed any negative energy since we got here - though we should probably keep our eyes extra peeled anyway." Just to be safe. With that said he took to the rooftops, leading them on a small patrol to keep her occupied so she didn't have to fret whatever it was that was eating her up. That's when he felt the slight wave of darkness wash over him from nearby, an he angled himself toward it on his next leap, motioning for Harmonia to follow before he ended his journey on the next roof, looking around with a frown.

She nodded. "Sounds great." When he mentioned having not felt anything she took note herself that she wasn't open anymore to auras around them and frowned. She really needed to get use to being aware of things like that. When he set off over the rooftops she followed behind, keeping up to his pace without any issues. Focusing on where she was moving and leaping too and also being aware of what was around her required all of her attention and it allowed her to temporarily forget her fears and just enjoy what she was doing. She genuinely smiled and that was when she felt the little pulse of darkness as well. Following Corinth's lead she turned and lept, landing just behind him. Tentatively she walked to his side and looked around uneasily. It doesn't feel similar to that Lieutenant's but it's definitely not right. Swallowing she glanced over the side of the building she was closest too.

Corinth kept his eyes peeled on the shadows, not really looking forward to what was going to come. The last time he'd felt anything remotely like this he'd almost been mauled to death by some giant bear thing. "Stay sharp, we've got a youma..." Corinth grunted, his fingers tapping lightly on his drum as he tried to stay focused. "They're a bit weaker than we are, usually, but they're unpredictable at best." At least the one he'd faced had been. It wasn't long until his fears were realized, and the thing shambled around the corner. It was definitely feral. It moved on spindly spider like legs, it's mouth - for lack of a better term for the split in the front of it's torso full of teeth an sucker tentacles was an awful sight to behold. But the worst part were the eyes - they were everywhere on the creature, and they seemed to be focused intently on Corinth and Harmonia. "Give it space," Corinth commanded, even as the thing opened it's gaping maw and fired out a few suckers at them. Causing the knight to swear and jump back in surprise.

Stepping away from the edge of the building after finding nothing she glanced around into the darkness around them. The street light's faded yellow glow wasn't helping much where they were at and feeling that aura was putting Harmonia on high, anxious alert. This was not what she wanted tonight. I just wanted an easy patrol. That's all.At Corinth's warning she spun around to where he was standing to see the...thing practically melt out of the darkness and she took in a sharp hiss of breath. This was something out of a horror movie. To say that it was horrid and vial would be an understatement and she was pretty sure she'd get nightmares from it. Just what I need. Something else to trigger more nightmares. She took a step back as the thing stared straight at them from it's numerous eyes. "That's not a problem!" She responded back to Corinth as she purposely backed up a few more steps and still feeling like she wasn't as far enough away from the youma as she wanted to be. That point was drilled home when the thing fired suckers at them! Mirroring Corinth she jumped backwards to get out of range of the things ammunition. "What kind of creature fire suckers? That's just gross!" This thing makes my first youma encounter look tame.

"Youma, youma do," Corinth said, as he looked the creature over, trying to figure out some sort of weakness for it as the long sucker-tipped tendrils receded back within the creature's gaping maw. Its eyes - a multitude of colors and variety, seemed to track their movements almost exclusively, causing Corinth to frown. There was no way for them to get a drop on it. "You... have magic right? Blast the ********!" Corinth called to Harmonia, as he moved to try and draw its attention away from Harmonia so she could do whatever it was senshi did to make the magic happen. "'I'll tank, you spank."

Harmonia cringed as the youma's tentacle appendages...tongues? She had no clue ...whatever they were sucked back into it's body via what could be loosely called a mouth. She eyed the creature still unsure what they were suppose to do as the thing eyes them back with it's multitude of eyeballs. As Corinth yelled for her to blast it she stared at him for a moment before responding. "I don't really blast things!" She called back to him as he attempted to pull that creatures attention which she was beginning to doubt was plausible witht he amount of eyes it possessed. "How about I support and you spank?" Holding her right hand in front of her while her other hand grips her elbow she made a small circular motion with her wrist before pointing her finger at Corinth. "Energy Link!" A golden yellow beam shoots form her finger and appears to 'connect' with Corinth before fading out. "Enjoy the boost but it doesn't last long!"

Well wasn't that a kick in the teeth? Suppressing the internal groan from becoming external, Corinth bellowed loudly, hoping the thing could hear as well as it could see, and charged forward toward it, kicking hard under it's mouth, feeling the beast's skin(?) give way a bit to his foot as it snorted in what he assumed was pain as he brought his drum down on one of the eyes. He was rewarded by getting two sucker arms around his own arms, as the 'mouths' of the thing sought his neck, he was doing his best to keep that from happening cause he was sure that would not be a good day. Plus he really didn't want to explain youma hickies to his girlfriend.
