Shang stood in the park, where he usually wouldn't be alone, but he was tonight. He wasn't enjoying it. It was one thing to want to get away from something, but another entirely to straight up know it wouldn't be there if you needed it. He sighed momentarily, but manned up after a moment. He couldn't afford to let his guard down.
He summoned his weapon and for the time just tried to practice using it moving with it. He imagined his sister coming at him, how she moved, and responded in time. He was focused and it was almost as if he was fighting the air. There might be a familiarity in his style, to anyone who knew who trained him, though it seemed a little more harsh and yet precise at the same time.
After a few moments he stopped and stood catching his breath weapon at his side. He shivered in the night air, a chill running down his spine. After a moment he looked to his sky and felt like he needed to go to his wonder. He turned closed his eyes ready to head off before he felt something that made him stop.

Merlinite had been out all night. All day? He was not sure, but it felt like an eternity. He knew Painite had not gotten back to the cabin yet, so whatever she was out doing, it was taking her focus away. That was fine for him, as he began to dread her communications over their crystals. Any time she contacted him, he felt disgusted with himself.
"Oh great," he grumbled, feeling a knight's aura not too far from him, walking toward it. He spotted the source and groaned, shaking his head and putting his hands behind his neck, elbows pointing to the sky. He paused for a moment, debating if it was worth it, then sighed and moved forward.
At least tonight he was not looking for a fight.
In fact, that was the very last thing he wanted.
"Look what the cat dragged in. What are you doing out here? Let me guess. Protecting the innocent and all that, from the evil Negaverse." He sighed, but at the moment he rather believed the sentiment. People needed to be protected from some of the more violent members of the Negaverse, no doubt about it.

Shang turned and frowned slightly, "that cat didn't drag me in and I was doing a bit of training and had intended to go to my wonder. That however isn't any of your concern."
He looked more closely at the other who looked very familiar, but he couldn't quite place the face with a memory. He frowned his face up, glaring almost, but after a moment he gave up. "I'm not looking for a fight," he said, "and I would rather not be forced into one."
His grip on his weapon tightened slightly, a precaution, as he didn't really trust the other side. Why would he, they always seemed to be trying to kill him or someone he cared about? He realized after a moment his stance was anything, but an open invitation to attack, as he was tense and seemed poised to do just that.
He sighed and relaxed his posture slightly, "what exactly do you want from me," he said in the most polite manner he could muster.

"I was just asking," Merlinite said gruffly, putting his hands in his pockets and frowning at the floor. He was beginning to regret the way he had treated everyone before hand... being so quick to fight and hurt the White Moon because he was told that was what he needed to do.
After making so many friends recently, or at least friendly contacts, he definitely regretted his choices.
"I'm not looking fora fight either. I don't know what I want, I guess. I'm just walking here, and happened to be in the same place as you." He was quiet for a moment, then looked up at Shang and kicked a stone that was near his foot, not for any purpose other than to do something with his nervous energy.
"What's it like... uh... being a knight? I mean. Yeah. I guess that's it. What's it like?"

Shang was really confused and grew more confused by the second, not really by the other's words some much at first as by his actions. It was sort of like the wallflower trying to branch out a party or the brat that new he was in trouble with a parent or teacher or something.
His question did get Shang though, he loosened up and looked at the other more curiously. "It's interesing. I mean I wouldn't have chosen to enter this war personally, but I wouldn't give up my wonder for the world. I mean its a lot to learn and learning to fight and knowing people will try to kill you is never going to fun, but there is something noble about. Still the best thing is my wonder, for many reasons?"
He answered trying not to be suspicious, but still asked, "why do you ask? What's it like being a negaverser?"

Merlinite knew he was not really talking to the best person for this, considering he was pretty sure his first impression had been absolutely terrible, but at least Shang was giving him the benefit of the doubt. Merlinite was really good at making enemies, and had made sure to do that to a spectacular degree when he thought the Negaverse really was what he wanted.
He had burned a lot of bridges before he ever even realized he would need to cross them some day.
It was a little difficult to go back and try to patch them up.
"Wonder... that's like your planet, right?" Merlinite was surprised by how little he really knew about Knights, though he was considering becoming one with such intensity. Shouldn't he at least know what he was getting into? "What makes that so special?"
At the question posed to him, though, he wrinkled his nose.
"It's intense. Always being pushed to get energy and starseeds, and getting ordered around to do, basically, evil things. I was all for it, but the more they ask the more I think... maybe this isn't what I want to do. It's not bad, don't get me wrong. I mean, what we do is, but being a Negaverser has opened a lot of doors for me. I have power, and rank, and it's made me more confident than ever. There are good people, too. Some of them."

Shang gave a half shake of his head, and pointed to one of the symbols on his jacket. "Sort of, not really. Pluto is my planet, the planet on which my wonder resides. My wonder is Shangri-La, maybe you've heard of it. Turns out its not just a myth, people are just looking for it on the wrong planet. It's a paradise, what wouldn't be special about that. The most beautiful place I have ever seen."
Shang released his weapon feeling that he wasn't going to need it. He relaxed a little more, but frowned after a moment. "It funny how, I got all the things you did and I haven't had to do anything evil to get those things. I also have more friends and support that I could ever imagine having at one point. Never had to drain someone of their energy, never had to pull a starseed and no one I know would even want me too or ask something like that of me."
He thought on his time as a knight for a moment and smiled. Things were not easy, to say the least. He'd had his a** handed to him a lot, but there was a lot more good in it that he really took time to think about.
"You are thinking about becoming a knight? Good or not, sounds like you are wanting out of the negaverse."

Merlinite listened with interest, slowly trying to absorb as much information as he could. It would be useful to him later, if he ever had the chance to go to Camelot and have himself purified.
Not that Camelot had any reason to help him, considering the mess Merlinite was currently involved in, but still.
"That sounds... amazing. I didn't know you guys could just go somewhere else and visit another planet. We can't do that. We can go to Negaspace, or the Rift, but... they're not the most beautiful places I've ever seen, that's for sure."
Though, he supposed, in their way, they had some appeal. Maybe to others they were beautiful. To him, though, they were never welcoming, and he hardly ever went there unless he had to.
Or was forced to.
He paused for a long moment, debating the intelligence of telling so many others about his plans. But he supposed the least likely people to go back and tell Painite were knights. Not like she would listen to them, anyway.
"Yeah, I guess I am trying to purify. Or at least looking into it. I don't know if I can, or if... they'll let me, or whatever. I know I haven't done the best stuff, so far. I'm not proud of it, any more at least."

Shang nodded and gave a smile, "yes it's quite nice. You ought to have someone take you at some point, so you can see for yourself. I mean it might not be your wonder or your planet, but it a very nice experience."
He stood looking at the other and thinking, wondering if he would help further sway the captains opinion. He of course thought it was great that the other was thinking of purifying. One less on there side, one more welcomed to there's. He wasn't sure if that would bring them any close to an end to this war, but it was never unwelcome.
"You'll be forgiven you know, for anything you might have done, maybe not by everyone, but if you purify most will let by gones be by gones and start anew. Have you talked to anyone else about this? Of course you will need to be careful because I can't imagine your own side would take the news to well."

Merlinite doubted anyone would want to take him to space, or to their wonder, or whatever it was, but maybe some day he would be able to go to his own. Whatever that might be.
Maybe.
He looked at Shang and almost believed him when he said they would forgive him. It seemed too easy, but he was also seeing how nice they were capable of being, and how supportive. Even the ones he had not made the best first impression with were still... tolerant of him.
It was surprising, to say the least.
"I try not to talk to anyone that might, you know. Tell the Negaverse. I'm just trying to keep it quiet for now, while I figure stuff out, you know?" The last thing he needed was for Painite to figure anything out.

Shang nodded at Merlinite, "understandable and smart. You put yourself already as risk by considering and making motions towards purification so its best to be careful who you talk to."
"There are royals you can talk to. I know of two and my sister may know of more, but I would have to ask her. You can talk to Camelot, he is a royal knight I believe, Im not sure on terminology, but he's stronger than a regular knight. You can also maybe talk to Princess Iris, I think is the name, she may be able to help."
"I will ask my sister if she knows more royals and I can send you a note with more names or I can meet you again somewhere. If we meet again, then maybe you would like to see my wonder. I can take you if you like. Seeing is believe they say."
He stood with a smile on his face offering what he could to help. He was a very supportive person and if he could help, he would especially someone looking to join there side.
