So... I'm currently a pretty manly-looking person, but I don't like being treated like a man most of the time. At the same time, I actually quite like how I look. I want to do something that will cause people to recognize (perhaps "confuse me for" is a better, if quite unfortunate, turn of phrase) me as a feminine person. Not necessarily as a girl, I can't and won't deny the existence of my masculinity, or the times when I do identify as a man. I don't want to change my appearance too much, for the aforementioned reason, but I can't think of any options other than full physical transition. Is there anything I can do?

This is a bit of a difficult question. I'm transgender but I haven't done much in terms of transition yet so I'm not really sure how much help I might be, but I'll try and help. If you like how you look then you might not want to change your appearance too much. You could always dress in female clothes though. Your behaviour could also help contribute to what you're hoping to accomplish. I'm not saying that you should change who you are though. Personally, I think gender expression would probably be the best way for people to perceive you as more feminine.

I'll look into buying some more feminine and androgynous clothing, as well as more carefully considering my behavior.

I know how you feeling.. I'm just learning to express myself in a feminine manor or trying to act less macho .. I am a very broad person myself and i have a wide chest so if I transition i hope I don't look like a total freak ..
I have to unlearn some things and learn a lot of new things .. makeup my clothing sizes etc .. and let alone going out and buying this stuff when you look at me you clearly see man .. i plan to grow my hair out to a decent length but that's gonna take a few years ... I have thought about a wig but I dont know what path to go
I am looking some makeup help so that's a plus ..
Maybe I'll just start with a bra or something then gradually build ..
The people in the house don't really understand and it makes it awkward... and i don't really do good living alone .. so its a catch 22 ..
I want to be able to express myself as a female or at least non masculinity for the time being
Any ideas advice or help
