It was dark out, but that would only last so much longer with spring making its way along. It was still taking its sweet time and really dang cold out, though, so Sandrine still went through the motions of transforming and then donning a winter coat before making it a point to get out and practice the whole 'sensing auras' business that was supposed to be part of the senshi repertoire of useful-abilities-that-save-your-life.

This time it led to one of the city parks, and then following it further to some of the storefronts that flanked the expanse. It was the sound of a voice down one of the alleys that drew Sandrine's final attention to source, though- a small person who was doing....something? Playing? Attacking? Pantomiming? Doing something. But the get up spoke of a similar cosmic tailor as the rest of senshidom, so it seemed reasonable to assume that the little person was probably a senshi. They felt clean, the same way that ida did. So its pretty likely they're not all inundated in chaos and not some ragingly evil person out to vampire the rest of society. And they've probably felt me as soon as I felt them, right?

The senshi of executions stepped out from looking around the corner of the alley to a more full approach and lifted a hand of greeting, "Hi there! So, you're a senshi, too, huh? "

He was at it again, and that night wasn't so much different from most other nights he zoomed off into the night.

He'd found a good, safe, aura-free spot and set up another scenario for himself, playing make believe and passing the time with his mind utterly focused on being a super hero. His latest book involved a man with a giant axe, so he pieced together a little something and had it aimed at the "monster" he set atop one of the dumpsters in the alleyway. A grin was playing at his features and he was getting ready to call out his "enemy" when he felt a subtle tingle. It was familiar but...kind of distracting. He shook his head to try and get rid of it, choosing instead to focus on the spaghetti-haired villain in the distance.

"Halt, fiend!" he called, axe pointed straight at it. He hadn't expected to hear a response, so when he did his eyes went wide and he hastily got into a fighting stance (and probably looking ridiculous in the process), unaware that someone had joined him. "My name is Sailor Chibi Urda, but howcome you know that?" he asked it, red eyes narrowed as he watched carefully. Hey, if it could talk then it could probably attack, right?

The small fry didn't even turn, and Sandrine's eye's widened in consideration of the reaction being paid the homunculus. So...do they feel me? I mean...voice plainly came from this direction, right? Wants me to play along? Just seriously in a zone for playing pretend? What?

There wasn't really any way to determine it, though, outside of asking. Sailor Chibi Urda, huh. 'Chibi' like tumblr nerds and deviantartists toss around for the small, weirdly proportioned cartoon drawings? Is that the formal term? What is it supposed to mean with being a scout? Well, Urda is plain enough.

"I'm Sailor Sandrine. I'm behind you, not much of a fiend, I don't think. You uh...come here often? Alley's are the next big thing and all ? "

"I'm really crap at this, sorry. But hey, getting out here and trying helps us get better, right? And I could use knowing some names and shaking some hands. "

The creature's reply threw him off enough so he actually turned when it said "behind you," and his eyes widened when he saw someone was indeed standing there. His surprise was short-lived though, a wide smile taking its place quickly as he walked over to Sandrine. He always liked meeting other senshi; so far all of the ones he'd met were pretty swell, even the ones that scolded him (which oddly enough was someone closer to his age).

"Hi! he greeted with a wave. "Sorry, I thought it was actually a monster there for a second. But yeah, I come through alleys and stuff near the park a lot! It's fun, and I have stuff to play with if I get bored." Admittedly, he probably spent far too much time messing with trash than he did being a senshi.

"It's nice to meet you, though!" Urda extended a hand and nodded a little when the older senshi admitted that he was new. "I'm still pretty new, too. It sorta feels like joining another PE class in the middle of the semester, so kind of uncomfortable because you don't know anyone or how stuff works. But it does go away eventually and you get the hang of things!" And he would know, because that was a true story for him.

Sandrine leaned down to shake the offered small hand in turn with a firm, purposeful return of the gesture, chortling at the offered metaphor. "Yeah, I could see that. It's even the sort with dodge-ball no one really wants to play and everyone gets obligated into. "

Hopefully without any of the last-man-standing stuff though. That's really freakin' grim. Who comes up with that stuff.

" You got a partner or team in this, or just flying solo? I've met-met like...3 senshi. You're four. The one said she was on a team, but wasn't making any offers, so I guess they're not having applications or anything. Maybe a lot do the lone wolf. Any tips would be great, too. Ida, that's the one senshi I've gotten to speak to, pointed me to the How-To on the phones that I've been working through reading. E-Books and doing are different though. " I guess cubs 'playing' is like training to be gazelle-eating machines for predators on the Serengeti. And having fun is having fun....doing it in uniform seems like it could get dangerous.

" Imagine playing Superman when you actually CAN leap tall buildings in a single bound. That must be pretty wicked.... " Sandrine said the last underbreath rather than actually as conversation, trailing off on a tangent thought.
