Where is it? This white portal undulates captivatingly, emitting a soothing song to anyone within earshot. It floats between the indoor gym and the arena, moving slowly enough to enter casually most of the time, but occasionally speeding up to the point where it must be chased.
What's Inside? Something soft collides with your face as you hop through. Several other soft things follow suit when you bend to see what the first thing was. It was a dove, but now it's sleeping. They're all doves, divebombing directly for your dome. It's a good thing they don't appear to have any bones or they might actually hurt.
What Do I Do? There's a large bullseye suspended high on one wall of this doorless room and a pile of stupid, boneless, unconscious doves that is growing by the second at your feet. There is really only one thing to do.

How Do I Leave? Hit the bullseye five times to open a portal back to the gym. Others may throw doves for those who do not want to, as long as there are (5 x the number of people RPing) doves successfully thrown by the end of the RP.

Jasmine was not quite sure how festivities went at Amityville Academy, let alone how ANYTHING went at Amityville Academy, and so had tried to keep her distance from these strange portals popping up all over the place, seeming to captivate a large part of the student body.
However, without knowing it, she had wandered into the gymnasium, and was somewhat intrigued by this particular portal. It seemed to give off a soothing, calm demeanor, and the melody wafting through put her at ease. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad investigating. After all, she wouldn't learn anything just by staring. But... perhaps it would be best to go with someone, just in case?
Unfortunately, she didn't know many creeple, and... what if they said no? Oh dear, what should she do...

Li Xia had been busy. Busy exploring, busy figuring out what classes she liked and what ones she didn't. She had also been busy watching people. Judging people. You know, normal things.
The new portals she'd heard about...well. Those were not normal. And they were interesting. So, she went to check them out. The first one she found was...white. It also had a nice song to go with it. She liked it.
She also liked the look of the pretty ghoul standing around nearby. Very pretty, very well put together. A being of station, right there. And as long as she wasn't a grumpy demon, she could be Li Xia's friend. It was decided.
"Hey you," she said, coming right on over, "you look like a ghoul who knows her stuff. What is this? Have you been through? I'm Li Xia and I want to see the other side. You are coming with me."
She reached out to grab the ghoul's pretty sleeve, and the dragon had every intention of dragging the new ghoul through the portal.

Oh, she knew she should just work up the courage to ask, but what I'd they thought she was being pushy? What if they already had someone else they were going to go with? Considering it was Scarentines, most of the students would probably prefer going with their significant other, but surely there were some who weren't...
No no, what was she thinking? She flushed as her hands flew up to her face. This wasn't a date! She just... wanted someone to accompany her in case it was dangerous. But then... she shouldn't be putting other students in danger for her own selfish interests. Bad Jasmine! Bad!
She jumped at the voice, turning to see who it was. Oriental clothing, and horns... C-could she be another conquest horseman?? On closer inspection though, she also had a tail and claws, and resembled a Chinese dragon. Oh! Perhaps she would...
"U-um, well, I... heeeee!" She didn't really have time to respond as the ghoul suddenly grabbed her and pulled her through the portal.

The other side of the portal was...more white. That was all Li Xia noticed before something hit her in the face. "Hey!! What the Jack?" She would have kicked the thing as it fell, but more of the things were trying to hit her. "Ow! Stop!"
She turned to her new, pretty friend. "Hey. What is with these silly birds?" The ghoul had been standing around, surely she knew something.

The first thing that happened once she was through, was that something hit her face. It should have been painful, yet it wasn't, and when she opened her eyes, she saw why. "HEEEEEEK!" More birds were falling down, and one landed near her. Her first instinct was to cringe, but it seemed... they were all unconscious? She picked it up and petted it, noticing something strange. Birds were soft, but not normally THIS soft...
She turned to the dragon ghoul, looking bewildered herself. "I-I'm not sure..."

She gave the girl a look that was supposed to be quizzical. It was probably more like a scowl. "Weren't you paying attention? What were you doing standing there? Hmph. Hm."
Not that her poor new friend could have known what was going on, anymore that Li Xia did. But she liked answers.
"Well," she said, leaning over to pick up a bird, "I suppose we had better investigate." She squeezed the bird, seeing how odd it was. "This is the strangest bird I have ever seen. Do you think it's even real? What are they doing in this place?"

"U-um, I... I'm sorry, I don't know, I..." Jasmine was on the verge of tears. She wish she had the answers. Why didn't she have the answers? Useless, useless! How could she think of asking someone to accompany her when she couldn't even do something as simple as answer a few questions?
"I-I..." She forgot she was still holding the bird, and looked down at it. Not... real? Truth be told, it did feel a little light, and... Was it... even breathing? If she weren't mistaken, she could almost assume they had no bones. Birds were light but not THIS light, and they kinda... felt soft, like marshmallows, a human delicacy she had heard of.
"I'm... not sure, I-" Looking around, she noticed something up above, and it almost looked like... "U-um, Li Xia, was it? What do you suppose that is?" She was pointing at the large circular object above them.

Li Xia was a bit too caught up in wanting answers to notice the other ghoul was near crying. "It's all very strange," she was saying, poking at the bird in her own hand.
Then her new friend said something interesting. "Hm?" Xia looked up, following the direction the other ghoul was pointing. "That...that..." Li Xia had no idea what that was. But she could never accept that she didn't know the answer to a question someone had asked her, so her brain worked out some sort of explanation. "That is some kind of evil eye. It must be what is making these strange birds act so crazy."
She nodded knowingly at her friend, as if it somehow confirmed everything. Then she turned to the big red dot and yelled, "Hey! Hey! Stop making these dumb birds hit us!" And then for good measure she chucked the squishy bird at the red circle. That would teach it.
The squishy bird hit the mark (really it was big and hard to miss) and then bounced off. Neither object seemed to care.
"Come on. I bet we can knock it down and make do what we want."
An... evil eye? It kind of looked like a target marking, like the ones used for archery, but since Li Xia seemed so sure, she was probably right... Perhaps... that would explain why these doves were the way they were. Would getting rid of it solve-
Jasmine flinched when the ghoul yelled, and turned just in time to see her chuck one of birds at the target/eye. Wait wait WHAT they were THROWING the birds at it? But weren't they trying to save them?
Come to think of it, there wasn't anything else to throw besides the birds, and Jasmine swallowed nervously. This was... for the sake of reverting them back to their normal form, right? "對不起, 對不起!!" She took the bird and threw it.
It may have been due to the fact that she was trembling or... she didn't really have a good throwing arm (bows and arrows were different), but the bird completely missed the mark. Oh.... she hoped she didn't hurt it too much. She felt so guilty.
Li Xia turned just in time to see her friend throw the bird, and utterly miss. "No, no," she said, shaking her head. "Not like that. Like this!" She picked up a bird and hurled it at the big red dot.
"Put your shoulder into it," she nodded at the other ghoul. Clearly she expected her directions to be helpful.
Well, perhaps it was because Jasmine wasn't exactly trying to murder the bird through sheer force, but she let out a timid squeak and nodded, trying to follow Li Xia's instructions. However, she truly lacked arm strength, and even her most "forceful" throw ended up completely missing the target.
"No, no!" Li Xia was vehemently shaking her head. "You have to start from your hips. Let the power run up through your shoulder." She hurled a bird to demonstrate.
The bird fell to the ground, no where near the target.
"..." Li Xia gave her friend a sidelong glance. "There was something wrong with that bird. Not enough weight."
She stooped to pick up another bird, then handed it to her friend. "Here. You try with this bird."

T-throw from the hips? Power to the shoulder? Jasmine had absolutely no idea what Li Xia meant, and she wasn't quite sure how she was supposed to do that without looking.. completely ridiculous. As a conquest horseman, one must always remain elegant, composed, refined, and yet... here she was fumbling with poor unconscious doves.
"O-ok..." She looked down at the bird that Li Xia gave her, and swallowed nervously. O-ok, she could do this...
Rolling back a sleeve, she took a step back, raised the dove, and threw. To her amazement, it actually hit the target. "I... I did it!"
"Perfect! Just like that!" Li Xia beamed. She'd clearly made a good choice in this friend.
"Okay. We just need to hit it a few more times. I'm sure it will come down here and we can knock some sense into it." She picked up another dove and threw it. The squishy bird sailed through the air and hit the target with a smack.
