It wasn't exactly the best of days as it were. A blizzard howled through the trees throwing snow and sleet across the landscape. Trees creaked and groaned as they battled to keep their roots in the ground, Old limbs cracked and crashed to the ground in thunderous booms, not the sort of weather anyone would want to be caught out in. Curled up in a warm cavern, two wolves. Their forms looking remotely similar, given that it was a Mother and Son. The female was a bit larger than her thick furred son, her bright azure eyes watched the wind blow the thicket that acted as the door to their hiding spot. The smaller male laid with his back to the outside, his head resting on his paws. His burnished fur fluffed out even as warm as it was in the cavern to not be needed.

"Why does it have to be a blizzard now? I thought that season was over with." the male grumbled as he shifted to stretch out his hind paws.

"Weather is hardly predictable. You can't blame what we can't control" the female answered as she turned her head towards her son. "Be glad that we found this shelter before it got any worse and had to dig a shelter."

This was answered by a wash of grumbles as the smaller wolf seemed to drift off to sleep. At the very least ignore the words of his mother, he was ready for all this mess to melt and he could go proper hunting. Eris, the female, watcher her son a moment longer before looking back towards the thrashing bushes and the outside world. While it might have been a better idea to be in their larger forms, Arik always considered this form more comfortable. Eris couldn't complain, not when she was coated in a thick coat and it kept her warmer than her other form.

For the time being, Eris Silvermane remained awake, watching the wind and snow blow. Her ears ever listening to the sounds of her son's breathing behind her and to whatever lurked outside their resting place. She had this feeling that they weren't the only ones to be caught up in this late season blizzard..

The Snow howled and raged and for some reason lycaon was in it. Oh right his latest scheme failed again and he was being chased he had no choice but to wade through this storm to escape his pursuers. they'd probably think he dies in it. Lycaon to protect himself walked in his wolf form the warm fur offering more protection that this layer of hair his equine for had.

Shelter he still needed shelter. He had to be far enough from them it was hard enough to walk and he could barely see. Though a faint wisp of a scent came to him. There were other stars nearby. Good, and they didn't smell familiar they wouldn't know him. a wolfish grin spread across his face. If he could just find them it would all work out.

He made his way toward the scent finding a large cave perfect for weathering this storm. Now what did we have here? he wondered as two stars came into view as Lycaon entered cautiously. The Alcor changing his shape "Might I share you lodgings for the duration of this blizzard." Lycaon bowed graciously.

Eris's ears flicked at the sounds of someone approaching the cave. Squinting through the white haze that was the blowing snow and whipping of the leaves, she gained the sight of another just outside. Not really bothering to move from her spot, mostly to not disturb her son who was sound asleep at her back. As the figure came closer into the more or less shelter of the bushes that blocked most the wind from the entrance. She watched the lupin that came further through the bushes and now into the cave.

"I suppose so, there's space enough for a pack in here." She said still squinting at this stranger, not quite sure if he was up to anything. "What made you get caught out in weather like this? Surely you have a pack and den somewhere?"

It was true that there was plenty of space in this cave. She would be kinda daft to not allow another warm body stay in weather like this. The more warmth there was, the more comfortable it was to get. But still, she had to wonder why this one was alone and without his pack... Then again, it was only herself and her son at the moment. They had yet to really find a place to settle after her mate and a daughter were lost. Where her other two children were... She wasn't too sure of that either.
