Aiding a Smith Prompt

You find your self inside a smithy. Maybe you are here to buy something, have something repaired were sent on a task here by another. What ever reason you are here you find the smith calling out for his apprentice to help him... but there is no apprentice there!
"Yarsish, ye lazy fool, I need the bellows pumped! The fire's too low."
His gravely voice calls out. As you go to help him (and you must if you wish to continue this adventure!) he notices you and sighs.
"I guess my lazy apprentice is missing? Be a friend and pump the bellows would ye? I'll help ye once I finish this sword."

After you help him, he sits back and sighs. "Perhaps I can ask ye for a favor? I have an order of swords to get done but as ye can see, my apprentice is missing. If ye help me, I can offer ye a reward."
As you accept (and you must cause that's the whole point of this adventure!) he shows you what he needs. You are to prepare the iron for smelting, pump the bellows, and take the cat iron swords to teh back room where his brother will sharpen them. With your help he'll be able to finish his order in time!

The work is hard, by the end you are sweating, soot stains your clothes and you smell of coal and smoke. But it is worth it! You and him manage to get the order complete! After you finish and recover from the afternoons hard labor, he beckons you over and shows you how to create a piece of armor as thanks. (choose from the lit provided below) He also gives you some iron for your time.

You receive one of the following Recipes (you choose) and x5 Iron bars!
Metal Helm
Metal Chest Plate
Metal Shoulder Guards
Metal Bracers
Metal Boots

Aiolos was able to make it to the city with plenty of time, a good thing since he really didn't want to make it to the city too late because that would mean having to find a place to sleep in the dark. As he walked along through the market place he realized that most everything was already starting to close up. Not as though he'd had the money to get anything but if everything was closed down for the night that meant there were less people around. He could set to searching the area, see if anything was dropped and forgotten in the way of small coins, food, and the like. The marketplace after dark was a great place to find things that people dropped because they weren't paying nearly enough attention. That was fine, their incompetence would allow him to prosper, provided he found the fallen loot first. He knew he wasn't the only one with such a plan in mind, meaning he'd need to be quick.

His eyes flicked from side to side, searching for anything shiny, when he spotted what looked to be something promising. Rushing forward he scooped up the fallen coin, looking it over, and then grinned. Not bad, someone dropped something rather valuable he thought to himself, tucking it away into his pocket. He'd be able to at least get something to eat with the coin, meaning that Seren was at least smiling upon him for this one moment.Standing up right he looked at the building that he was standing in front of, a blacksmith's shop that seemed as though it were still open, and he drifted forward slowly. A blacksmith, huh? Well, he was curious as to how much a weapon might cost him, one he'd be able to wield against whatever might get in his way. Aiolos looked from side to side before trotting forward into the shop, looking around at the various weapons that lined the walls and sat upon tables and shelves. So many different choices! What should he get? A bladed weapon? A crushing weapon? Something big, something small, it seemed that the guy had everything and then some.

As he walked along he heard the sound of a hammer on metal, as well as felt the warm that came off the fires in the forge, meaning that the blacksmith must still be present and working? Aiolos moved forward, a curious look on his face. He could try to chat with the man, see if he couldn't get some idea of the price he'd be looking at for a decent, but not elaborate and flashy sort of weapon. He wanted one that was useful but it didn't really had to be all that pretty since 'pretty' tended to mean expensive. He spotted the man and as he started toward him the man yelled at him saying, "Yarsish, ye lazy fool, I need the bellows pumped! The fire's too low." In an instant he realized that it wasn't Aiolos that he was yelling at per say. Instead he was yelling at someone named 'Yarsish'. Given that he hadn't seen anyone else, and since the man's tone was a demanding one, he hurried forward to do as he was told even though it wasn't exactly an order given to him.

The man turned as Aiolos did as he was told and spoke up again, "I guess my lazy apprentice is missing? Be a friend and pump the bellows would ye? I'll help ye once I finish this sword." It was a request that Aiolos was fine with helping with, not as though it were a difficult one after all. Added to that was the thought that if he helped the man out then he'd be able to ask him about the prices of weapons sooner then later. Besides, he wasn't the sort that just stood around doing nothing while others worked. After a time of helping the man, he finally sat back and sighed, glancing over at Aiolos. "Perhaps I can ask ye for a favor? I have an order of swords to get done but as ye can see, my apprentice is missing. If ye help me, I can offer ye a reward."

The word 'reward' had Aiolos perking up before he nodded his head rapidly, "Yes, I wouldn't mind helping out!" Not only was there a reward involved but it was a lot warmer inside the blacksmith's shop then it was outside now that the sun had set. Getting to hang out in here to help the man work, even if they had to work through the night, would be worth it. It was a lot of work to do done with the various tasks that he was given to do. He had to prepare the iron so that i could be smelted, he had to pump the bellows, and after the big blacksmith made the swords Aiolos was then put in charge of bringing them to another equally as giant man so that the guy could sharpen said swords. The order must be important if not one, but two men were up working so hard on them... it made him wonder for an idle moment about the apprentice who'd wandered off without helping them to finish. He seemed the lazy sort that wasn't quite that trustworthy if you asked him. If he had a steady job you wouldn't see him slacking off!

Shaking that thought off he continued to run back and forth between the brothers and between tasks, doing everything he was told to do and then some. It was exhausting work that left him sweaty and covered in soot, but it would be worth it in the end. He'd get a reward after all and that would be quite useful! As he went along he was even given food to snack on and all the water he could drink, two things that would be worth all the work in and of themselves if you asked Aiolos. To think that he got that along with a reward when the work was done? It was most certainly his lucky night even if it was one that was taking everything out of him. Things were finally done near to dawn, something that had Aiolos sighing in relief when the man announced that they were done. It was something worth cheering for if you asked the young, tired Orderite, "Phew! Thank Seren we're done!" He said, stretching out all over, giving a yawn. It was when he was mid stretch that he head the blacksmith calling for him, something that had him hurrying over to the man as quick as he could go.

Once he reached his side the man explained to him what his reward was, something that sounded as though it would be quite useful, materials to make a piece of armor as well as a recipe of his choosing to make with the materials. It took him a bit of time studying the things before finally deciding upon the bracers. They were the more simple of the recipes, something that he'd be able to make soon he hoped. After he had everything handed to him that he was being rewarded with he looked the stuff over before tucking it away into his pack, "Thanks! Can I come back later, after everyone gets some sleep, to talk with you about the weapons you sell?" He asked the man, once he was told when the man would open up his shop later he smiled, nodded, and headed out. He'd find himself somewhere to sleep given he was quite exhausted, and later on he'd see about going back to see how much he had to save for a weapon. He waved goodbye to the brothers, smothered another yawn, and headed on his way.
