No, I got my 512MB stick a few weeks ago, and my vid card around Christmas. Won't look as pretty as 360 on HDTV, but most likely your TV is on 800 x 600 res, so I can stick to that and tweak it so it looks better. I don't have the kind of money for an HDTV.

I'm in the same situation. I doubt I'll be able to play until next week. My new processor and RAM hasn't arrived yet, and I'm getting more and more pessimistic as time goes on. *sigh*

Umm...AMD Athlon XP 2000 + I think thats what it is...But yeah, Its only 1.6 GHz...Oh yeah, And i figured out that my video card isnt good enough either. Its like...a Raedon 9000 or something.

Well, I went ahead and got the game yesterday, figuring that my computer had all the nessecary things, because it was a fairly new one. Boy, was I wrong. The video card doesn't work with it, because...well....it doesn't have vertex shading, or something like that.
So now, I have to get a new video card...>.>
Unless someone can tell me how to fix it.
I worked on it about 6 hours yesterday, so unless someone knows EXACTLY how to get it to display the two things I'm missing, I'm just going to buy a new one.
Facts: I have an Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family, and according to my control panel, I have an Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver.
The software testing site says that I'm missing these two things:
Video HW Transform & Lighting: Required - Yes , You have - No
Vertex Shader Ver.: Required - 2.0 , You have - 0.0
Other than that, it's a 128MB DirectX9 Direct 3D compatible thing, and for some reason, I can't update the drivers. I'm not even sure if I have the latest.
I went to the intel site, downloaded the driver I thought would work, and it gave me this message: "Cannot install driver on this computer."
I don't even know what was wrong.

Well, I thought my computer would be able to run it, but it looks like mine will have to wait. I only have a 1.5 Ghz processor, 512 mb ram, and a Radeon 9000. Morrowind froze (to the point I had to pull the plug on my computer) running Wizard's Islands, it would just blow up running Oblivion (which I half want to see)
Oh, and no DVD drive doesnt help either.
