Mano really didn't notice the presence of his 'guests' at first, why would he? He was sitting under the branches of what felt like the only tree for miles, settled down on the roots, watching the rain fall in a rather bored manner. There wasn't really much of anything to do when it was raining but at the same time the water was a welcome sight. It had been a long time since he'd been home, where the water was plentiful, therefore despite being alone the rain was comforting. There was a part of him that was debating going home again, searching again, maybe this time around he'd find himself lucky and find some sort of clue about what had happened to his parents? Another part of him didn't want to bother, instead wanting to just continue what he was doing presently, to stick to just wandering around in an arbitrary manner. There was far too much down South that could pose a threat after all.

A soft sigh escaped from the Matori man before he was drawn out of his thoughts when something hit his foot. His golden gaze fell to the creature that was sitting next to his foot, "Eh? Hey there, critter, what are you up to?" He asked of it, getting a little hissing sound, as well as a glare from beady eyes, before the creature scurried further up the tree, "Hmm, I know those things... what were they called again, poscuta?" Some sort of rodent if he remember right. A sort of rodent that seemed to roam around Tale he thought to himself, giving a jump when he felt something land on his lap. He looked down, spotting another of the creatures there, watching it as it sat on him for a long moment before crawling up his chest, to his shoulder, and jumped from there to the tree. It seemed that the pair were looking for higher ground to get out of the rain?

"You know the two of you could have ask and I would have helped you... hey! Excuse me?" He said, looking down as a couple more of the large rodents went about using him as a living ladder to get from the ground and into the tree. It was something that had the Matori man pouting a bit, "Not very nice of the lot of you, using me like that. I would much rather have a handsome guy or a beautiful girl crawling on me, thank you very much." Of course his words fell on deaf ears given the poscuta didn't seem to care. If anything it seemed that after watching their friends use Mano in such a manner that more of the rodents took the opportunity, coming out of the tall grass to scale up Mano and to reach the other poscuta that had gone before them.

"This just isn't fair. Why can't some cute Wind Tribe man or some pretty Leaf Tribe girl appear to climb on me? I wouldn't mind then!" He complained to nobody in particular since the rodents didn't care. In fact they continued on with what they were doing, climbing up him, until the whole of their group of ten had made it from the soggy ground to the relatively dry tree. Mano leaned back against the tree, looking up the group of creatures, "Ignoring me now? Not very nice, but I suppose that tends to be a lot of my dates." He said with a chuckle. He supposed he couldn't be too mad, they were just trying to get out of the rain after all, which was the same thing he was doing. That didn't mean that he liked the idea that they were just ignoring him now.

As though to rectify this one of the group of them climbed down the tree, jumping only to Mano's shoulder, perching their, its long tail draping around his neck, "That's better, at least pretend that you appreciate the help I offered as your living ladder." He said, glancing at the strange poscuta, "You seem rather friendly compared to your friends, did you used to be someone's pet?" He asked of the creature, daring to lifting a hand to pet it. Much to his surprise the poscuta allowed it, "Were you left behind too? I know the feeling... I used to be a pet too, kinda, and I got abandoned too when the war ended. I suppose we can sit together, watch the rain, and complain about our crappy owners, right?"

Not like he liked the guy, not really, the man wanted to train him to kill after all, to be an assassin, but at the same time at least the man was there, at least he was consistent. Even if there were things about him that Mano hated at least he didn't feel as lonely when the man was around. Sighing a little he continued to pet the poscuta, "I think it's the rain, it's making me feel all melancholy. Once it stops I will go and find someone to spend time with, I will feel better then I think." At least he hoped he hoped new company would help, he didn't care for what he was feeling at the moment.
