((this rp is backdated to the night of January 5th))It was three nights from their first meeting before Liryn returned to the park where he'd first met Lucasta. Not because he hadn't been searching - on the contrary the first thing he had done on returning to the apartment had been to speak to Arian about what had been going on whilst he'd been out of town - going as far as to wake the dark-haired teen from slumber in order to do so.
He and Athene had met with Thraen the next day - well make that later on the same day given that he had left Lucasta to head back to the apartment in the early hours of the morning and the meeting had ended with the agreement that the Watch needed to be pulled into helping to search for those who had been taken.
Ash had been the first to be pulled into help and was coordinating things from HQ and Liryn had been doing his part too in the form of poking around looking for clues.
He hadn't forgotten his promise to Lucasta however and so when he finally thought that he had something to report he had taken some time out from clue hunting to make his way to the bridge in the park that the ruddy-furred mauvian had shown him and where he'd caught her up to things after the hotel lady had got hurt.Sunshine Alouette Hopes this works Sunny - let me know if I need to change anything

Lucasta was waiting patiently. Or as patiently as she could under the circumstances. Truth be told, she didn't look patient at all. Rather, she stalked around the park at night looking for answers that seemed as if they would never come. Her days were spent similarly, combing the city for clues. But it was useless. There was nothing to find. Only more questions.
She paced back and forth beneath the bridge that had become her temporary home, glaring at the dirt ground as it passed beneath her paws. This entire situation angered her in ways she was unable to explain. If she'd thought the Negaverse a danger before, this whole event only proved her concerns to be warranted.
Her head snapped up as the other cat approached. Lucasta did not look relieved to see Liryn there, though she felt it somewhere deep down. She continued to look strained and frazzled. She stopped her pacing and sat, facing the other cat expectantly.
“Liryn,” she greeted him quickly. “Have you any news?”

"Hi Lucasta" Liryn called out as he spotted the ruddy-furred mauvian that he had promised to keep updated. "I have some news" he made his way over to her as he spoke, his normally cheerful voice serious. "Some but not much."
He sat, purplish eyes solemn as he looked at his fellow guardian "I was doing my part to look for clues last night when I came across a Nega-General wearing burgundy along with a civilian that he'd killed."
Liryn hadn't been the first on the scene, nor had he been the only one to seek out the aura, but he'd picked up enough from some of the conversations from the others there to pick up on the fact that the civilian's death had come at the General's hands.
He paused for a moment then continued "There was a map there too and it had a line going west" he had spotted a bit of the paper sticking out from the civilian and had gone to investigate.
"There was a dagger too, although I don't know if it was the same dagger from three days ago. I think the line west might be a clue though" and to be honest whilst it was too torn and muddy to be much good as a 'map' it had been the only thing that he'd seen of any significance around the dead man.
"The Black Watch are also looking and Ash - she's a mauvian like us - has agreed to collate any information that comes in and get it sent out."

Some news was better than no news in Lucasta's opinion, but she kept her silence and allowed Liryn to explain himself.
What was revealed to her did not seem promising.
“I see,” she said, and tried not to let her frustration show.
She was not frustrated with Liryn in any way, shape, or form, but rather with their lack of reliable information, and she hoped the other mauvian was aware of that. The last thing she needed was to alienate her one ally.
“And there was nothing on the map to demonstrate where the captives are being held except somewhere to the west?” she clarified. “That could be anywhere. West relative to what? Simply the western half of the city? Even with enough man power, it would take us days to search the entire area.
“We need more clues,” she decided. “The General's identity might be beneficial. With the right information on him, we could lure him into a trap.”
Then she'd make him tell her where the captives were being kept, and what was to become of Ganymede.

Lucasta's frustration with the situation would not have bothered Liryn, at least it wouldn't have if the little tabby bobtail had noticed it.
After all he was feeling a little frustrated himself at the lack of information he had managed to uncover although he did his kitty best to hide it.
It just meant he had to work harder - like Athene was and Thraen and Ash and all the others out there looking.
"More clues would be good" he agreed - because with more clues then hopefully they could get closer to finding where the Negaverse had taken those they had kidnapped. Any small clue could potentially help, although Liryn was hoping to uncover some big ones too.
He looked at Lucasta "Looking for clues is part of the reason why I'm out" looking for clues that he could hopefully pass onto Athene who could then pass it on to Ash who would collate and make sure that it all went out. "Do you want to come look with me? I can show you where I saw that General last night."
Lucasta didn't have too, he was going to keep searching anyway until they managed to find those taken and he knew that the Watch would find those taken.
And even if the ruddy-furred cat chose not to come with him he'd still keep her updated - after all he had promised.

Lucasta was beginning to wonder whether or not all this clue searching was little more than a fool's errand. No doubt the Negaverse had the captives well under lock-and-key. Even if she and the others managed to find out where the Negaverse was keeping their captives, she wondered if they would even be able to get to them in time. After all, if the situation was compromised, she wouldn't put it passed the Negaverse to dispose of the captives before they could be rescued.
Even so, sitting around and fretting wasn't going to help anyone. If the choices were between waiting to see what happened and taking action, Lucasta would choose to take action every time.
So she nodded at Liryn's offer.
“Yes,” she said. “I will search with you.”
Two pairs of eyes were better than one, and if they happened to find something, Liryn would know which people to contact.
“Show me the way,” she instructed, standing like she was preparing herself for the hunt.
In a way, that was exactly what they were doing..

At Lucasta's nod and agreement, Liryn waited for the other cat to make herself ready before nodding in turn before making for the bridge and from there to back out of the park.
Like the others out there he was going to do his part in finding where the Negaverse had taken their people and then he was going to help take them right back.
For now though it was back to where that General had been last night and the sooner the better, perhaps there would be information still there that had been missed from last night. Something concrete that he could offer up to Ash - especially with four more paws to help.
He had no doubt that they would find their people, just as he had no doubt that they would make it in time because any other result would be plain out unacceptable.
