Chel was surprised at how much she was enjoying twitter. She had to stop every few minutes with long hours in between, but overall it was incredibly fun tormenting people with tiny pictures of shoes. But she had to set the phone down and come back to reality. There was no better reminder than having to stare at near-dead bodies in the pod room. Thanks to her galavant with Jack she'd had to take extra shifts, so there was no extra time to have a conversation in the privacy of her room. Then again, Chel had never really been a private person so it didn't really make a difference. Having already sent the message, Chel was already regretting her choice of confidant.

Hopefully Chel would have the wherewithal to not inform Abbi of regretting having chosen her, for that would undoubtedly sour their talk. However, the teen was wholly unaware and instead made her way with a small amount of hurrying toward the pod room. Part of her felt pleased that so many of her friends were requesting her help and grateful that she could actually assist them in someway, but the rest felt their confidence in her was ill placed. All their issues seemed to stem from some sort of romantic entanglement and Abbi just couldn't help but wonder why they were coming to her of all people. And now, as she hurried along the hallway and pulled open the Pod Room door, she hoped Chel wasn't going to need to talk about that subject.
"I didn't have any popsicles, sorry, but I brought some chips! And some candy!" Abbi announced as she entered the room, looking around for her friend. "Its special Valentines candy. That I got for myself. Because I'm my own best Valentine. Also it was on sale and also also they've got stupid phrases written on them."

"Aw thanks Abbi, what a ********' sweetheart." Chel wasn't disappointed by the lack of popsicles at all- in fact she was reveling that Abbi had brought anything to begin with.
She shook her head at the sight of the candy. "Ohhh no. If you bought that s**t fer yerself I ain't ********' touchin' it. That's yer special stuff."
Chel was very pointedly beating around the bush and doing everything not to bring up the reason Abbi was here at all.

A bright smile formed at the compliment and the girl paused to swing the rabbit eared bag off her back and open it up for Chel's inspection. There was a bag of chips and a boat load of candy of various kinds, each wrapped in a variety of pink or red packaging, as per holiday dictations. "Nah, go ahead! I wouldn't have brought it if I wanted to keep it all to myself."
As for Chel not getting right to the point, Abbi didn't much notice because she wasn't sure how important this talk was going to be. She made herself at home by hopping onto the desk at the front of the room and opening a chocolate bar. "So what's up?"

Of course Abbi would have the cutest purse known to mankind. Of course. Where did she even find these cute things? She probably just materialized them out of her own cuteness.
She took the chips, but avoided the candy. "Not much. Nobody rise and shinin' so I'm just here chillin'."

"Probably for the best." She said before she chomped onto the chocolate, lightly beginning to kick her feet. The Pod Room was kinda spooky, but she wasn't going to let herself think that.
"So whatcha wanna talk about?" Or, more appropriately, what nugget of wisdom could Abbi stumble her way through delivering.

"For the best? You think I ain't a good introduction to Deus Ex Macheenaw?" She stuck her tongue out, but dug her hand into the chip bag for another handful.
She sighed, kicking herself for bringing anything up at all. "S'about Jack. Ain't it always?"

A bright laugh echoed down the pods and Abbi hushed herself just in case she woke someone. She knew that's not how it worked, but she was still careful. "Have you ever woken anyone?"
As for Jack, well, Abbi had figured. She sighed heavily and ripped open another fun size candy bar to chew on. "What's that buttmunch done this time?"

"Ch'ya. Few people," Chel said, somewhat proudly. She definitely hadn't been a very good guide though. Mostly just "walk that way" until they left her alone.
Chel shared in Abbi's sigh, glumly putting her chin in her hands. "S'not him, it's me." She snorted and said, "Sounds like I'm breakin' up with him haw."

With her curiosity piqued, the girl dug out another candy bar and slid it Chel's way. She'd said no for now, but maybe she'd change her mind. "Who'd you wake up? Oh! Did you know I woke up Dawson?"
Now she was a little worried, mostly because... Well Chel was being stiff on the details. That was never a good sign. Careful to show that she was listening Abbi put down her candy bar and tilted her head a little to one side. "What's going on? Are you breaking up with him?"

"No!" she said quickly- too quickly.
Chel rubbed the back of her neck, picking at one of the many, many holes in her shirt. "I just- listen I just wanna talk it out with someone, y'know? So keep it ********' down low. I swear to god Abbi I'll punch ya and I'm a ********' buff a** sun. It'll hurt."

The not breaking up part was nice to hear, but being threatened was not. Abbi would have gladly listened to her friend without the violent warning and momentarily wrestled with the idea of looking indignant while she was here trying to help.
Instead she settled on a meek nod and waited for Chel to go on.

Chel sighed through her nose and almost began, but then stuttered to a stop once more.
"Wait- wait. Do me a favor." She leaned back in the huge control room chair and patted her legs. "Come sit over here. s**t makes it easier to talk when I can hug someone."

There was only a beat before Abbi hopped off the desk and rushed around to clamor gleefully into her friends lap. Cuddling was something Abbi was superb at and it only marked them as better friends that she could provide both emotional support AND cuddles.
"You may hug me as much as you need to!" Which was an indicator that Chel could properly begin now.

Chel laughed and tangled her hand in Abbi's hair, her nose on the other side of the girl's head. It felt too much like Nevada; so tiny and delicate, so pretty and-
-dead.
She opened her eyes again and tried to relax. "Yo I'm just gonna lay it down that me and Jack bang a ********>" Incredibly eloquent. "But the other night it was ... d'ffernt." She huffed a frustration noise. "-d'ffernt I dunno."
Without meaning to she began to stroke Abbi's hair like she was some kind of dog or soothing therapy kitten. "There's this whole mess with Dawson too. God Abbi you sure ya don't wanna be my girlfriend?"
