Chel had no interest in online foolery. She couldn't read half the damn things on the screen, it was too confusing and she didn't like the hassle when she could just as easily text people.
But Chel had also just texted 20 pictures to Chris in a row and he hadn't even blinked. That was suspicious in and of itself. But then Dawson started giggling too.
It wasn't right that people were having fun and she wasn't included.
She slid herself between the two of them with a might flop, her head and chest on Chris' lap while her legs fell on Dawson's arms. "What're you nerds laughin' at?"

Dawson blinked at the sudden contact, then snickered and tried unsuccessfully to hide it. "Naw, s'nothin'," he told Chel, tapping the back of his phone. "Just about ta show Chris what he missed fer Valentines. There was a whole anon thing, n' I got some messages from peeps!"
He grinned from ear to ear, tickled pink.

Chris adjusted for Chel's intrusion like it was natural. "I finally got twitter cause I got tired'a people laughing at their phones and not me. Now they can laugh at their phones and me."

"Ughhhhh twitter's dumb." She reached up to pinch Dawson's cheek. "'Course ya did, 'cause yer so damn cute." Her feet were wiggling under Dawson's arm. But she was leaned over Chris' phone, squinting hard at the text like it was in Arabic (for Chel it might as well have been). "And nobody's laughin' at you anyways Chris."

Yeah, he thought bittersweetly, so damn cute and perfect apparently.
"Naw, see, he can jerk a few assholes around now on here," Dawson pointed out happily. "That's comedy right there, I tell you what. Abbi's on here too, hell erryone is! All the island ta smile at."

Chris made eye contact with Chel and made jerking motions with his hand. Because he was a child and couldn't resist.
"You should get one, bruh. What's better than jerking assholes on the internet?"

Chel had already begun the jerking hand motion with Chris and they all but synchronized the finish.
Poor Dawson.
"I was gonna say, if there's one thing Chris is good at it's ********' jerkin' assholes." She clicked a few buttons around and said, "I can't even read bruh. It'd be pointless."

Dawson snorted loudly like a bull and cackled at the sight, though it subsided when he remembered Chel's reading issue.
"Aw s**t. Uh. Maybe it'd be like an exercise ta help ya get better?" he suggested. "It'd be like hangin' t'gether when we can't, too! We can spam ya with emotes n' s**t, it'll be worth it, Chelsea." He put on the begging eyes.

"S'not like you gotta read a novel, Chels. They're tiny posts." His eyebrows shot up at Dawson's plea. "Aw s**t, he called you Chelsea. Now you gotta do it."

"I told you 'fore," Chel's look turned icy, "Call me Chel."
She sighed, fumbling for her pocket and her phone. Chel wasn't necessarily opposed to twitter, there were just too many cards played against her with the device. At the same time, if anyone asked her to do something, she liked the feeling of being needed (in a roundabout way) and would do nearly anything.
Especially if the asker in question was Chris.

He couldn't remember if she had told him that before. Maybe he needed to lay off the alcohol... "Sawry." Cowed, Dawson turned back to his phone and swallowed. "Sawry. Uh, ye just open the app on yer phone n' sign up," he explained mildly. "It'll ask ya what username n' password ya want n' then you can start followin' us. That way you'll see our posts n' stuff. S'all short ones like Chris said, ya only got a hundred n' forty characters."

Chris tapped at her screen a couple times, loading up the registration screen for her. "You gotta think of a good handle. You're stuck with it. Forever.."
He paused for a second. "Actually that's probably a lie, I think you can change it in the settings. Still, make it good."

"I am mega gay," Chel read off, not missing a beat as she struggled to type it out on her phone. She held it up to Chris' face and said, "I spell 'at right?"
She looked over at Dawson while Chris spellchecked. "How do I follow you?"

"Uhh...If you look up the A symbol with a circle—at symbol?—n' then theshaggydawg, no spaces r' caps, d-a-w-g, you'll find me," he explained. "There'll be a button that looks like a lil' person n' a plus sign. That's how ya follow people." It was a little weird for some reason, explaining all of this to someone and add just one more way to make the space between people grew shorter. He wondered if it would get easier this way, turning Chel from an almost to another friendly face on Twitter. It was obvious that between the energetic cousins, he was the slow turtle just trying to keep up either way; maybe anyone who wasn't their family felt like he did when around them both, just slightly out of the loop of something he couldn't put his finger on. Dawson snorted as she read her name aloud. "Well, f'ya change yer mind, yeah you can change it. I went by, uh, somethin' like Shaggy69 fer a while on like MSN n' s**t 'til someone told me what sixty-nine meant."

Yes, Dawson. It was like this for everyone. As it should be. While Chel was distracted Chris switched her W with an M. No fanfare.
He let out a bark of laughter. "69! Ya shoulda kept that one. I'm @lionstho, l-i-o-n-s-t-h-o." He left her to figure it out on her own, though. She wouldn't learn if he navigated the whole thing for her. "We can post pictures too, I saw the button for it when I was postin' earlier. We get to show everyone our pretty faces."
