More often than not Marlin found himself heading to the park on those nights when he powered up as his powered counterpart Falias.
Tonight had ended up being no exception.
He'd started later than he'd planned, having gotten himself distracted by working on planting the varieties of tomatoes that he was planning to grow this year. There had been a fair few varieties to choose from, such as the selection that Lisa had gifted him and the few packets that he had found being given away in an online seed forum, but eventually he had managed to narrow it down to four varieties - a green, a yellow and two blues - all carefully labelled as to variety and planting date, with the pots inside the apartment where they could stay warm.
Later on he'd move them to the balcony, first in their current plots and then later in larger more permanent ones, but that was something for later on - for now inside would be their home.
Finding somewhere secluded enough to power up had taken a bit of a while, but once Marlin had been replaced with the green and browns that he wore as Falias, Falias had wasted no time in making for the park the night air cold enough to make him grateful that his outfit was at least better equipped to deal with colder weather than some of the outfits that he'd seen some of the other powered people in.
He was about halfway to the park when he picked up on the aura.
Dark, chaotic, but not the strongest suggesting perhaps a Nega-Lieutenant and it was close - not close-close perhaps, but certainly close enough to check out.DaisyMilk Again let me know if anything needs changing :3

Kadyrelite had chosen to haunt the park, partly to give herself some time to think and rest, and partly because anyone she'd encounter here would be more likely to be a civilian and thus, less likely to put up a fight.
Gutless Kadyrelite. You should be looking for fights, to battle for the glory of the Dark Kingdom!
"Oh shut up," she muttered to the youma within. "My ribs're still cracked thanks to you and I can't move fast. Fat lot of good it'd do the Dark Kingdom for me to get into a fight and end up in worse shape than before. I can't exactly hold up anyone's honor if I'm laid up in a hospital bed."
She felt a tingle of surprise followed by a quiet that signaled Strytha thinking about her words carefully. Then, a hint of reluctant agreement.
Perhaps you're right. Strytha would prefer to fight for honor and glory, but your body isn't exactly in fighting trim... Though Strytha thinks it might be a moot point now.
The feel of an Order aura approaching had brushed against the lieutenant's senses just then and she sighed. Some of them preferred talking to fighting. Maybe she'd luck out and this would be one of them. But... just in case it wasn't... Reaching out, Kadyrelite gripped a sturdy branch that was hanging from a nearby tree. It came away easily enough in her hand and she tucked it against her side.
No point in being unprepared, after all.

Falias didn't have his weapon to hand, although even if he had then it probably wouldn't make much difference should the encounter end up turning to a fight. After all although it was true that the wand that was his Squire 'weapon' was more useful than his Page one - useful in this case was relative given that pretty much anything was more useful than the mistletoe sprig that the powers that be had seen fit to lumber him with. Besides as a 'weapon', the ash wand really wasn't good for much except poking and given that he was up against people who one amongst their ranks that had seen chucking a table in his direction as an effective combat tool as well as monsters and that wasn't counting the senshi they had on their side. In short - poking wasn't really going to be particularly effective.
It seemed that he had closed enough distance however for the chaos aura to upgrade itself from being not close to fairly close and close enough that he decided to call out to the trees and such around him.
"You may as well come out you know." After all whoever it was out there - and the aura felt like a lieutenant aura - felt close enough that they had to be picking up on his aura as much as he was picking up on their's.DaisyMilk Sorry for taking so long with this Sinny, hoping to get the other up relatively soonish
