All Yves wanted was to spend the rest of the afternoon at the hot springs with Kasja where the both of them could enjoy the peace and quiet to themselves, maybe catch up on what they were working on respectively over the past week. The crowd made up mostly of students, gnomes, Halloween citizens and the occasional horsemen like themselves outside the cave that led into the hot springs was definitely unexpected as well as uncalled for, but the irate War Executioner had insisted that the Death Guardian joined him in the queue regardless, intent on going ahead with his initial plan to get them to the hot springs after making the trip here from the Tower that the horsemen now resided in.
When it finally was their turn to step into the heart-shaped portal, he allowed himself a small smile though that was soon replaced by a look of surprise the moment he realised that they were in a hedge maze and not in the hot springs as he had mistakenly thought was where the portal would take them. " What is the meaning of this..." He growled, whirling around on his heels only to find that the portal that had led them here was already gone.

Kasja wasn't sure why she allowed Yves to drag her to all these Scaretine events, but she did. Keeping her hand firmly in his own, she was surprised when they suddenly appears in what look like a maze. Her blue eyes scanning the area as she pulls her hood down. Pushing her black hair from her face, she looks at Yves alittle worried.
"Please tell me you know what is going on Yves..." she had a feeling this wasn't the case given the fact he growled just a second ago. Chewing on her bottom lip, she pulls her hand away from his as she moves ahead of him only a few steps.
Glancing around, she sighs before looking up.
Nope even flying was out of the question.
They were gonna have to figure out how to get out of this maze.baby_gwing Yves...Kas is not going anywhere with you again...XD

The notion that he could take to the skies and see if he could locate the fastest way to the exit had certainly crossed Yves' mind at some point though that was deemed to be futile as soon as he too looked up and observed that the hedges went on for as far as he could see. Nope. No go. That was also when he saw that the sky overhead was pale pink in colour and the occasional wispy clouds that floated by were shaped like a heart. Yup. The portal had brought both him and Kas to somewhere that was not part of Halloween.
"Um... I'm not going to lie so the answer is no..?" He admitted sheepishly, not the type to even try to sugar coat matters when he was the one who had gotten the both of them into this predicament in the first place to begin with. "I thought that this portal was going to take us directly to the hot springs. Sorry..."

Kas frowns as Yves admitted he didn't have a clue as to what was going on. Lifting a gloved hand, she pinched the bridge of her nose before sighing. This wasn't going so well for an outing he dragged her to. It was suppose to be something relaxing where they could catch up.
This was not that...
Turning her eyes towards Yves, she place a hand on her bare waist "Now what? Do we try to figure out how to get out of here?" she glance back, indeed seeing the portal that brought them here was gone.
So moving forward, into unknown territory....

Kas was upset and it was all because of him that the both of them were at present stuck in this maze instead of enjoying themselves at the hot springs as they had initially set out to in the first place. Yves chewed on his lower lip, starting to feel really miffed with himself for being unable to get something as simple as getting the both of them to the hot springs right.
"Yeah. Let's just walk around for a bit and see if we can find ourselves any clues?"
He suggested tentatively as he reached for her hand in the hope that she would still trust him enough to allow him to take it, his gaze averted as he tried to focus on locating the exit or some clue as to where it might be.

The death mare nods slowly as she slips her hand into Yves's hand. She wasn't upset with him, she just didn't like not knowing what was going on. Eyes searching the area, she slips her hood back up over her head so her eyes are hidden. Being able to just hide her eyes was a huge thing for her now. It gave her a chance to hide emotions if need be.
Looking around, she shakes her head a little "Maybe we should just walk around?" there had to be something to this maze.
Hopefully...

Yves began to feel somewhat heartened when he felt Kasja's hand in his, giving it a small squeeze as he gently tugged her along. "Yeah... I don't sense any danger here but it's still best that we don't wander off on our own lest we accidentally lose our way and each other." He rationalised though he still kept his senses keen lest they found themselves caught off guard if anything hostile came their way.
"So um... how have you been since the move to the Tower?" He murmured sheepishly, hopeful that she would oblige him with what seemed like small talk and petty conversation while they explored the maze to try to find a way out. Or something. Anything at all.

Kasja eyes dart around for a brief moment before she turns them back to Yves. He was always so serious, yet at the moment he was shy. Arching a brow, she shrugs as she looks down only for a moment "I am honestly trying to get use to all the change. So I guess I am still as confused as I was when I returned?" it was the truth, and she didn't see the point in hiding it.
Glancing in one direction, she growls softly as she shakes her head "What if we don't get out of here Yves?" she didn't like the idea of being trapped, never has.
It caused to bristle up, almost feeling corner.

Turning round a corner, Yves frowned when he realised that it was a dead end. "It'll pass. It doesn't help that what happened with Medea and Death happened so quickly after your return." He offered, choosing not to speak of how it was like for him since what he went through was more or less linked to Kasja.
Retracing his steps, he stopped at her question, the hand that held onto hers giving it a gentle squeeze as he lifted his other hand to gently pat her head a few times with a soft look in his eyes. "It won't happen. This is all my fault so I'll get you out of here no matter what it takes."
There had to be a way out of this place. All they had to do was to find it together.
