Attempt to find your way out of the maze some other way:
Whether you're having a leisurely stroll or a shaky, claustrophobia-induced jog through the maze, eventually you notice the stone kushi-kushis. They peek out of the foliage at random intervals, mostly when you're not looking for them, their vacant little faces staring up at the sky.
People are talking. They say the only way to get out is to kiss the kushis.

This was confusing as anything else around here. He had planned to go to Damien's to celebrate the holiday, but he found himself suckered into another line by gnomes and he found himself in another maze. Couldn't help but find it very reminiscent of his year 2 examination. With a huff, Uru placed his hand on the right wall and began to move through the maze when these strange minis were popping out. Immediately, he knew they were kushi-kushi, but something was off; they seemed empty. Not empty physically, but emotionally as they appeared, looked up, then disappeared again. With his hearing, he was picking up voices of others kissing the kushi-kushi in order to get out. That was nonsense! With another put out sigh, the demon pushed on, his hand gliding over a kushi who had just popped back into the hedges.
The Kushis appeared and disappeared like a sad game of whack-a-gnome, but the maze was like no other. At least, it gave him some thought to himself. If it wasn't for someone screaming something on the other side of the hedge. Jeez, creeple are loud.
The further he walked into the maze, he was starting to believe what the murmurs were saying. If the only way to get out of the maze was to kiss kushis, then that would indicate that the maze was actually inescapeable. If that was the case, then that would mean that his method of maze-navigation, then he had to reconsider the option...
Touching the head of a kushi, its attention seemed to turn from the sky to the demon. Taking the creature into his hand, he brushed his lips against the temple causing the little mini to squeak in delight and disappear back into the brush. Was it worth it?... The demon's lips formed a tight line as his hands found home in his jacket pocket, pushing onward through the maze.
The demon reached for another kushi, but missed as it had disappeared back into the hedges. With a growl, the demon through his hand into the barrier, his hand meeting a very hard, solid wall. ... Lovely. Flexing his fingers, Uru glared at the stupid maze and the stupid rules.
