Harmonia had been out on a few patrols and all of them had been quiet. She hadn't run into anything or anyone since Corinth and she was beginning to think that these Negaverse people had all booked it out of the City or something. Not that she had any previous experiences to base off how many times the enemy showed their faces in any given time period. Having learned to power up away from her home so as not to draw attention to her house, Chailee had taken to sneaking out of her room via the roof that connected to her side window. From there she was able to easily hop down onto the deck that her parents had built for entertaining in the summer. She quietly slipped out the back yard gate and walked a two blocks away before powering up in an alleyway. It felt like she was up to no good every time she snuck out at night. Mainly because she was deceiving her parents, but it was all for a good cause. Taking her usual method to getting around the city, Harmonia used a fire escape and a ledge or two to hop up onto the apartment complex's roof. She yawned a bit as she looked around herself before heading off towards the center of the city where taller buildings meant she could get a better view of things. She moved about carefully. Making sure to stop periodically before moving on. She finally stopped on top of an office building that gave her a beautiful view of the city but wouldn't allow anyone to really see her on the moonless night unless she spent too much time near the edge. With a sigh she crossed her arms. "Hope it doesn't shape up to be another boring night." Lithiasaur That is a working title. XD

Kolina ( He's really not all that bad >> ) Captain Merlinite spent a lot of his time wandering around and talking to people. The more he talked, the more he understood what he needed to do with himself. He needed to become a knight: he had to leave the Negaverse before Chaos consumed him, and became a person he could not live with.
But how could he possibly go about doing that? It seemed like such an insane idea that was not even possible, or real. He knew other people had managed it, but someone like him?
Maybe the White Moon didn't have a space for him.
He was sitting on a roof top, swinging his feet over the edge as he looked down at the street below. He had no real intentions of draining anyone, though he knew the longer he went without filling his quota, the more suspicious others could become. And he was not sure he needed the attention right now.
Feeling an aura nearby, he perked up a bit to look around. Maybe it would be someone who could tell him a bit more about purifying.

After taking the time to enjoy the lights of passing cars and businesses below Harmonia turned her focus to her job at hand and that was when she sensed it. Furrowing her brows she stood there trying to understand what she was sensing. The aura itself had a wrongness to it and was completely different from anything she had felt so far. "I bet that's the Negaverse!" She hopped from the roof she was on and continued in the general direction of what she had felt. It didn't take her long to land on the roof where she found a man sitting on the ledge. She couldn't see much of him with his back towards her but it was obvious that the aura she had felt was from him. Oooook. What to do. I mean, if I can sneak up on him and maybe push him off the roof. That would work... She saw him look around and into her general direction. Alright, scrap that idea. Probably wouldn't have worked anyway."Hey, you. What are you doing up here?" I obviously need practice at this sounding intimidating thing.

Merlinite waited as the aura got closer to him. It was weaker than he was, at least he could tell that much from it. he had never been too good with recognizing auras, but he managed to figure it out over time. Now he kind of wished he hadn't put so much effort into it.
It didn't really seem like anything he put effort into was paying off.
"I'm not doing anything, obviously. I'm just sitting here. You can see that. What are you trying to do? Scare me? You look like a little baby bird fluffing up its feathers. But tonight you don't have to worry. I'm not looking to mess with any senshi right now."
He grunted and looked away, his gaze returning to the street below. There was nothing to look at, really, but it was easier to get lost in his thoughts when he was not focusing on anything.
"Aren't you up passed your bed time?"

Harmonia huffed and crossed her arms. A baby bird? Really?"Then you are a negaverse agent?" Now she was a bit confused. From what she had heard form both Faust and Corinth this guy should be practically itching to get into a fight with her or cause problems. This guy here looked quite content to just sit there and watch the night fade away. "I am not worried about anything right now. Just a bit confused. Are you planning something? From what I've been told you guys are always up to trouble." Hey, maybe he wouldn't be all that bad? Maybe this could be another learning experience. She didn't trust him, that was for sure. She had been told by two people now to be weary of them. Corinth had explained how these people could hurt her. "It's really none of your business what time I go to bed. I've a job to do."

"Yes I'm a Negaverse agent. A Captain, in fact, so stronger than you are."
He had to assume now that she was brand new to this whole thing: there was no way a senshi that had been out for more than two seconds would need to ask a question like that. She was first rank, but more than that, she seemed fresh off the boat.
Glancing in her direction, he scoffed and tried not to roll his eyes. He half succeeded, and managed to catch himself and shake off the irritation.
"You're right, I guess. Most Negas are up to 'something' all the time. We're doing our jobs, and you're doing yours. There are some of us that like the... meaner parts of our job a lot more than others. At the moment, I don't feel like breaking your face."
He felt like going home, locking himself away and having enough to drink to knock him out for a week. But Painite would wonder where he went if he disappeared for too long. The last thing he needed was for her to come after him. She did know where he lived, after all.

O.K. Well now I know what to expect when I feel an aura like that again. One lesson learned there. she took a moment to study his aura more and realized he was right. He definitely felt stronger than her. I hope sensing aura's becomes more of a second nature. She stared him down for a little while, not really knowing what to do. It was becoming very apparent that a fight wasn't going to happen and as this realization sunk in, Harmonia let muscles begin to relax she hadn't realized were tense. "Alright fine. No fighting. I am game for that." Tentatively she walked towards him. She paused for a few steps away before deciding to take the plunge. She took those last few steps and sat down about an arms span away from him. If he wanted to fight he could have attacked her by now. After all, with him being stronger than her it really wouldn't matter much either way. In her mind she could hear Corinth practically screaming at her how stupid of an idea this was. "So..." She looked at him. "This is a bit weird. Especially after some stories I've heard."

Merlinite looked at the newbie senshi as she sat down next to him, frowning at the decision. Just because he was not going to attack her did not mean he was safe, right? She would not really be well prepared for what he had to consider 'real' Negaverse soldiers if she expected them all to treat her like he did.
"I'm sure you've heard a lot of pretty bad stories, and I could tell you a lot more. They're probably all true, too. The Negaverse is not exactly a nice place. This whole city is the same. Sometimes I think you Senshi aren't doing enough, and I'm on the Chaos side of things."
He sighed, tapping his fingers against the edge of the roof.
"So I guess you're new, huh? You're going to learn a lot, real fast, I bet. And it's not going to be fun. I guess you don't know anything about uh... about purification or anything?"
Definite shot in the dark, but he had to at least try.

Harmonia sat there, her own legs dangling over the side as she looked down at the city below. "Yea I've heard a few stories. Not a lot, but what I heard was pretty extreme." She gently kicked her legs as she sat there. A little uncomfortable and a lot unsure of herself. Here she was chatting with someone who should be the enemy. At his first question she nodded her head. "A bit obvious I guess." She weakly chuckled. "I am learning though each night. I mean, look here, I learned something new tonight. Not all the stories I've heard pertain to every Nega." She didn't look at him as she spoke as if she was afraid that if she looked at him something might trigger the guy to attack her but his next question about purification caused her to glance at him from the corner of her eyes. "Well I don't know much. Just what I've learned from my research." She sat and thought for a moment. Wrinkle formed at her brow as she attempted to recall the information. "I know that a royal is needed and that the person has to want to be purified and..." Wrinkles appeared between her brow as she tried to recall the last thing "Oh, and there will be memory alterations." Sitting there she continued to look at him out of the corner of her eye before turning ever so slightly to face him. "Why did you want to know?" He's so much different than what was described to me as a 'typical' Nega. Is he thinking about purifying?

Merlinite was not surprised to hear that, as the Negaverse had a habit of going way over the edge with some of their missions. It was a scare tactic, and it seemed to be working, which was good for them. He did not really feel any pride in it, though.
He was not sure he would recognize what pride even felt like.
The Nega Captain was not exactly sure he was teaching her the right things. Negas were dangerous, and he knew he was some sort of useless aberration to the normal routine. He was definitely not a real Negaverse soldier.
He supposed he did know a little about what she was saying. Memory loss from purification and the fact that he needed a royal to help him were things he could have heard from others or picked up somewhere and just could not remember. Either way, he did not think she was telling him anything new.
"I don't know I guess. I'm just not sure how it works, is all. What it means for the person that's doing it. I mean in the grand scheme of things. I don't know."

As she listened, Harmonia could almost hear the beaten down tone to his voice. It sounded like he was confused and about unsure of himself as she was right now. Well, maybe not -quite- as unsure as herself but that helped to ease out some of the tension she had been holding. Maybe it was a good thing she had run into him. Just maybe a conversation could help him ease his worries. Maybe he just needed a friend? "Well, I guess it means whatever you want it to." She placed her hands on her knees and straightened her arms as she looked out over the city. "I don't really know much about the whole purification thing. No more than the next senshi anyway. But I look at this way. If you aren't happy doing what you're doing, why keep doing it? Especially in a war." She shrugged. "I guess it's a childish way to look at it, but if I didn't -want- to be a senshi I wouldn't power up every night." She paused for a few minutes before turning to look at him. "If you're looking at it from a war point of view, isn't one more person on the side of good a win against Chaos?" She chuckled a bit as she thought about school. "I was never really good at history because the wars always bored me but I would think that who ever has the most soldiers would be the most likely to win." "Besides, if you don't like beating up people and stealing energy I doubt you're doing a very good job as a Captain. And I don't mean that in a bad way." She smiled. "Well, at least for us." She gestured to herself.

Merlinite continued to stare down toward the street below, though there was still nothing down there to really look at. He sighed, letting her words sink in slowly, not sure why he was taking the time to talk to her, let alone listen.
She was not just a senshi, since he was coming to terms with the fact that he liked and trusted senshi more than he did Negaverse soldiers, but it was the fact that she was a newbie to the whole thing. And a kid. He couldn't really ignore that, either.
"I guess it's not that easy. The Negaverse doesn't exactly have an open door policy. Once you're in, you're in. They don't want to see you leave. They'd rather see you dead."
He sighed again and managed to look at her again, wondering what it was like to be new and innocent and optimistic about things. He certainly missed that! When he had goals and was sure of himself, and not scared of anything. Now he was scared of everything. The doubt really just made his life miserable, but there was no going back to how things used to be.
"I'll have to think about it more," he said at length. He would. A lot. What it might come to, he did not know, but he was starting to get an idea. There was one knight Painite hated more than any of the others, and that was the one that seemed like he could help the most. He purified other members of the Negaverse, after all.

"Then it doesn't sound much different than what I've heard we deal with. The Negaverse isn't very fond of us either so purifying won't put you at that much of a disadvantage than us. Sure they won't be happy with you but what are the chances of them finding out who you are after you purify? You'll be almost like a new person." "I know I don't know what it's like on your side of the battle. But in my opinion if you're so miserable where you are now, why not take a deep breath and take a chance somewhere else? It seems you're so out of balance with yourself you can't find any peace and harmony." Harmonia was worried for him. Genuinely worries. She could tell he wasn't happy. The poor guy was obviously depressed and very reluctant to make a commitment either way and she had no idea how she could possibly help him besides sitting here and just talking things out. Lithiasaur Really quick response before rushing off to work.

Merlinite had not really thought about it that way before, now that she said it. The fact that the Negaverse hated the knights and senshi anyway, regardless of if they were purified from the Chaos side of things or not. He supposed he was going to be in deep s**t either way. Not the most comforting thought in the world, but then, it did give him some odd perspective.
"I don't know what the chances are, I guess. I just figure Painite will be able to find me no matter what happens. Do you think the White Moon would want to help me keep away from her?"
He doubted she knew too much about the whole thing, if there was a network for these kinds of things. Maybe he would talk to Camelot, though that would most certainly be the final nail in the coffin as far as his relationship with Painite was concerned. At this point, it was not much of a loss.
"I guess you're right. Hey... I appreciate you talking with me, even though you don't know me. It actually did help a little, and I think I might have... something of an idea... I don't know if anything will come from it, but... You guys, you senshi, aren't so bad."

Looking down at the street below Harmonia watched as a lone car drove up the road. The particular street they happened to be looking down on didn't seem all that popular this late at night. But occasionally one would see a car or a person walking to whatever their destination was. The lack of other people was nice and it meant that the two of them were much less likely to be seen should anyone glance upwards. "I don't know who Painite is but I am sure that's something that you could talk to someone about. Maybe talk to whatever royal it is that would be performing your purification. I mean, if that doesn't work it's something you can discuss with other senshi and knights to see if individuals can help you." she grinned. "I'd do what I can for you. It might not be much right now but having more people on your side is always in your favor." "I am glad I could help!" Harmonia practically beamed. "I just hope that you'll let yourself be happy and do what your heart is telling you. Like they say, you only live once! So you might as well enjoy what you're doing, or at least choose whatever you feel you won't regret." The little compliment at the end caused a small giggle to escape the young senshi. "Well, I can't say much about the rest of you Negas but you're not all that bad. I am glad that my first encounter with a Nega happened to be someone who wasn't intent on 'breaking my face'." "Oh, Um...I hope you don't mind if I ask but, what's your name? I mean if you don't want to tell me that's fine. I get it." She held out her hand to him. "I am Harmonia, the senshi of Harmony." She smiled warmly and hoped that maybe he'd feel comfortable enough to at least share his name.
