Ferris was still learning and so sometimes, going out wasn't always an option. Callisto constantly wanted her to be careful and not knowing much, careful didn't include powering often yet. Even then if she did, she didn't know who to power down around or up around or- or- GAH she was horrible already. Oh well. The senshi shrugged, walking along a route by roof carefully, ignoring the fact she was jumping in high heels and looked around, crossing her arms thoughtfully. "...I have no idea what I'm doing." She admitted to herself, and she decided to start looking for someone who looked powered. And possibly knowledgeable. That might work.

Luxor patrolled on his own, most of the time, and he was out tonight not looking for anyone or anything other than maybe a youma or a nega to chase off. He was finding things were easy for him, in a strange way.
Life was getting better, he supposed. He was feeling more at peace, more content. It helped him focus on his work more, and feel more attached to the things he was doing.
The people he was trying to protect.
This growing feeling of commitment was amazing to him. He had been going through the motions for so long, it had become all too routine. Now he was starting to see what he can really do to contribute.
He was on a roof, looking out over the city, when he felt an aura coming his way. He turned to watch the senshi on a roof not too far away, tilting his head at her efforts. If she could reach him, maybe they would be able to talk. He stood stiffly, waiting.

TSailor Ferris tilted her head, blinking at the young man on another roof nearby and blinked before moving to investigate, the bright, candy coloured Senshi moving deftly before landing in front of him and giving a mock bow, beaming. Wel, he looked nice, and maybe he wasn't an enemy. "Hello, stranger!" She greeted cheerfully. "Nice night, isn't it? Am I intruding?"

"Not intruding," Luxor said after a pause, as if he thought she was going to say more. He always waited just in case, as sometimes Zia remembered something she wanted to say but had not gotten out and cut him off to get it out.
He had learned to accommodate.
"I've not seen you around before, but I guess I don't patrol around here too much. My name is Luxor, Squire of Pluto."
He wasn't sure why it was important for the senshi to know what planet he was from, but he always ended up saying what it was, just in case. He supposed it was just decorum, to fully introduce himself, his rank, and his wonder like it was all a part of the same title.
"On patrol or practicing?"

"Sailor Ferris!" She said Cheerfully. Squire? Knight? "What like - the knights of the round table?" She blinked, then looked embarressed. Horribly so. "Sorry, I'm - well, new. So it's patrol and practice? I'm still not fully sure what I'm doing besides stopping bad stuff." And then she turned red. "Are you patrolling?"

"Uh. No, not the round table. That is someone elses bag, but I'm sure you could talk to Camelot about it. He's another knight. But we're just... like Senshi, but a different kind of soldier, I guess."
He was not the best at explaining things like this, though he was working on getting better at being someone who could offer help. Maybe talking would never be his thing, and offering advice or lessons would not be his methods, but at the very least he knew how to fight.
And that was something he could help others with.
"New? Well, welcome to the fight, I guess. Are you doing okay? I'm not patrolling right now, really, but I was thinking about it. We can patrol together if you want."

"Oh, so there is some King Arthur dude somewhere." Ferris nodded - was she right? Who knew. She didn't. Still, his explanation made sense. "So far... Confused a lot. Trying to learn really." She shrugged. "All I assume is we're supposed to dust monsters, but then, there's people involved against us? Or... Something?" She shrugged. "...A patrol partner might be good I have no real idea of what I'm supposed to be doing. it's - damnit Jim, I'm a music girl, not a magical girl. Unless it's like.... Jem. Jem I can do."

Luxor nodded his head. He only met Camelot a couple of times, but heard about him endlessly from Zia. It was sort of like meeting her father, when they did cross paths, and it had been terribly awkward. But then, things had not been at their best then, so it was not like they had the time to talk to each other.
One day they would have to spend some time talking. He had this odd sense that he needed Camelot's approval, but he was not really Zia's dad... it was all just very strange and complicated.
Luxor did what he could to take it all in stride.
"Dust monsters, stop the Negaverse, yeah. You should probably find someone you can patrol with until you learn the ropes. I can keep you company for now, if you'd like, that way you don't get overwhelmed. But you are a... magical girl. The Negaverse are the gemstones."
Luxor did not get pop culture references.

"I appreciate that." Ferris beamed, and smiled cheerfully. "I mean, I messed up when I met Callisto. Don't wanna do tha-" She froze, blinking at the second piece of information before doubling over laughing. Hard. "Wait, so, you're telling me that they're named after gemstones? Wow, egos much?" She continued laughing, shaking her head. "I can already hear it! Preeecioussss. MY PREEEECIOUSSS!" Lord of the Rings jokes could be made, and more. Oh man.

Luxor watched her as she laughed, but he was pretty sure he had not told a joke. Not that he ever told jokes, except very rare occasions that could be considered holidays in their impact. He sometimes accidentally seemed to tell jokes, but he could never really figure out what it was he said that was the funny part.
Comedy was really lost on him.
"I don't understand," he said blandly, not sure her reference was even accurate at this point, if that was what it was. He folded his arms over his chest and tried not to look as confused as he felt. Which was very easy for him, considering emotions rarely ever reached his face.
"But yes, they're named after stones and minerals, as far as I can tell. I've never really asked about them too much, to be honest."
Before now, he never really considered them worth his time. They were enemies, after all, and all he really needed to know was how to beat them.

"The arrogance," Ferris managed to grin, slowly calming. "Of naming oneself after gems, as if precious." She beamed, sniffing. "It's a reference to a book and movie, the precious thing. But oh man, they sound full of themselves." A grin crossed her face and she did giggle, not offended at all if Luxor didn't get it. "Just found the arrogance funny. Oh well. So what are they trying to do? World domination?"

"I'm not sure it has anything to do with arrogance. They don't pick their names or outfits, since we don't. I would not have picked this if I had a choice."
Generally he liked wearing shirts and pants.
"I'm not sure what their end goal is. Like I said, I haven't really talked to them much. They seem to just want to hurt as many people as they can, and steal energy from civilians. I don't know what it's for, but it can't be anything good."

Ferris shrugged. "Can't blame you if you're uncomfortable-- they do what." The mirth fled from her eyes and a low snarl came frrom the senshi, lip curling in rage. "They do WHAT?!" Her fist clenched and she wanted to punch-a-Nega, the normally happy, bubbly senshi suddenly strongly displeased. THEY MIGHT HURT CALLISTO. OR A CHILD. OR- well yeah Callisto was her teacher currently, of course she'd worry. "Mother Truckers." Not the most creative euphemism, but well, angry and not thinking clearly.

"No one taught you any of this when you awakened? It's a large part of what we are here to do. To stop them from hurting anyone and keep them from getting the energy and starseeds they want. And the monsters they have that work for them, the youma, we have to stop those, too."
He had gotten a fairly good lesson when he first powered up, because he wandered into a large meeting of senshi that were gathering for some training. It had made a difference in the start of his understanding, at least, though most of what he knew now came from a lot of experience in the field.
"The Negaverse are sort of the opposite of knights, like me. If they purify, they turn into knights, and if we corrupt we turn into Negas. I feel like I should probably understand them better than I do because of that... but that's mostly the limit of what I've learned so far."
Hey, he noticed he was doing a pretty good job being conversational, and saying more than one or two words in one go. That was a lot of progress for him, from when he started.

"Well, the cat who awakened me referred me to a Senshi, but I haven't met her. Callisto mostly gave me a warning about when and wheres of powering down," She coughed a bit discreetely, embarressed, and Ferris turned red. "But otherwise I assumed it was dusting all the enemies." Oh maaaan. "Don't tell me the big bad is like, Skeletor or something." IF THEY WERE SHE DEMANDED A PAY RAISE. Or perhaps a similar reward from whatever decided to turn her into Live Action Jem.
