Heart's Day Dance!
A Valentines and Anti-Valentines Event!
The Mayor looked around with a satisfied gleam in her eyes. Yes, this is how a Heart's Day Dance was suppose to look! The Community Hall was only ever opened for special events like this, so the dust had been unbearable, BUT they had done a marvelous job of converting it. The large square room almost looked like those old time gym dances schools would put on- with their lenoliam flooring, big stage in the far back, and tables covered in food stuff. There were decoartions hanging from the cieling that some very sweet Villagers had made and hung. It could have been considered tacky, but because so many sweet and helping hands had done it it was just straight up adorable!
She looked around at the small gathering of helpers. Some bakers were putting their finishing touched on their food tables, with others finished up with decorations, lights, and especially the dance floor. The DJ had began to warm up his system as the Mayor nodded firmly. Yes, this was going to be the best first Heart's Day Dance ever. Unless... next year turned out even better. She swooned at that idea!
She got a nod from the DJ and others that they were ready to open the doors. With a skip in her step the Mayor headed for the large double doors and threw them open, "The Heart's Day Dance is now OPEN!" she exclaimed. She was surprised at how few showed up right on time, and apologized for yelling so loud. Well, she had expected a bigger group. Oh, well, they'd show up!

The Rules
Quote: - Each played is allowed two Villagers to be signed up as a couple and two Villagers to be signed up a single (your couple must not be two of your own and can be 'just friends', meet at the party and become a couple, already a couple or however you want your RP to go!). - If you sign up a single you have given us permission to pair them up how we see fit! No take backies! - The Villager you enter must be Certed & Approved in the Villager Approval thread - If you're just wanting to participate in the RP for prizes and not for pairings then feel free to just toss your Villagers in without signing up! Sign up is just for the chance at breeding slots! - In order to be eligible for prizes, each of your Villagers need to be posted for FOUR times. This also means not just one liners, but effort needs to be put into the post or else it wont count. We have a right to assume if a post counts or not so if you wanna be sure post more than four times! - For those who participate with more than FOUR posts and is a part of the event as a whole will get some extra special prizes... - Multiple prizes will also be given for RP: Cutest couple, best falling in love scene, best Anti-Valentines Villager, most posts, etc. Staff will come up with and divvy these things out best they see fit so be creative! - There will also be in game events for prizes such as a tektek best dressed event! So, be sure to keep an eye on the event and making your posts so you don't miss them! - You're welcome to RP your Villagers helping out- like a part of the decorations committee, helping cater the food, whatever your wonderfully imaginative mind can think up! This also includes those who are trying to sabotage the party! Let your hate reign! JUST be sure to not seriously injure other Villagers or do something silly like light the whole place on fire. We do still want an event XD (and if your Villager gets out of hand we will have the right to 'escort' them out and null your chances at prizes). - As we near the event we may write more to clear up any confusion.
That's right! This event gives you the chance of getting the FIRST breeding slots in our Spring Fling event (as well as other awesome prizes). Who doesn't like being able to say they had the FIRST group of kids? These will be FREE slots for your couple as well! Hope this has gotten you all just as excited as we are! So, during this time, be sure to get your Villagers in for approval and those sign ups in! We will continue to take sign ups during the event as long as you make your FOUR posts in order to be eligible! So, go on ahead and use the two codes below to get your Villagers signed up!

 Nervously, Corasett stepped into the hall where she was supposed to be meeting Sid for the Heart's Day Dance. It was a bit scary for her to not be attached to him right off the bat going into something like this, but he would be there... soon... she hoped. Trying her best to smile, she fussed with her hair and barrettes while looking around. This would be fun!... right? Yes. Yes it would! It was time with him on a special day. Then again, any day with him was special <3

Angelus Dayo Excited for what was to come, Angelus Dayo waited outside of the party for her date, her tail swinging back and forth off the bench she was sitting on. Hollow had been so nice to ask her to the dance when they quickly met while helping another fellow animal in need, and she looked forward to getting to know him. Who knows? Maybe he could be the one for her?Gala Celebrate Gala had been invited to help with the dance committee, working hard to make sure this dance would be fantastic! Sure she was just supposed to see what everyone liked of the food and tell the kitchen staff to make more, but there was no small job when it came to parties!
However, she kind of wished someone would come talk to her, even if it was for a little bit. There wasn't much to do here at a Valentine's day dance when you had no date, and it seemed like a lot of the other animals here did have dates.Noibat Why had he even thought of coming to this party! There was no reason for him to even come. He was a single and newcomer to town. Did he seriously think someone would actually care if he showed up or not? Of course the answer was no.
So here he was, standing in the corner with his wings crossed, curiously looking over everyone and wondering who everyone was and what their lives were like. They all looked interesting, but he wouldn't dare try to talk with any of them. He was too shy and scared to do so!

A glowing grin appeared across Hollow's face the instant he saw Angelus Dayo sitting on the bench. The lady cat, looked beautiful! Hollow approached Angelus Dayo.
"Hello, Angelus Dayo, You look stunning! Hope I didn't make you wait too long?" He offered his arm so that they might lock arms and enter the community Hall together. He hadn't been thinking about going to the dance, but then he meet Angelus Dayo and he knew he just had to ask her. So here they were! He was looking forward.

 Sid rushed into the hall, running just a couple minutes late. Still, today was important to him and he didn't want to let the most important person in his life down! He grinned when he saw her looking nervous and swooped in, picking her up in a tight hug, twirling her around and laughing a little. "Hello, beautiful!" he said with a grin.  Katie looked around at the decorations in the hall curiously. "Hey, Bunn-E," she said, "What do you think of this setup?" she asked her friend. She'd been interested in seeing what the event would look like and now she had. Ooh, she wondered what kinda food they had... Carys was quite excited about this party. This was her very favorite time of year ever! All the pink and red and white decorations and all the cute food and the LOVE EVERYWHERE! She giggled and nibbled a heart shaped cookie as she looked around. She was so happy to be here... Maybe she would meet the one!! Oh, that would be so romantic~ She sighed happily and gazed out on the dance floor, wondering if she should go dance by herself for a bit. Vaudun was not sure why he was here. Except to maybe cause some chaos. That sounded like fun to the stitched bunny. He smirked as much as his stitched lips would allow and inched over to the food tables. Such cute food... Heart shaped cookies and cakes, Disgustingly sweet frosting over everything. Candies and punch. He rolled his eyes and knocked over a small tray of cakes. Whoops.Quote: Approach with caution! "I haven't been here long," she smiled, taking a hold of his arm as she got up. At the most maybe she had been here five minutes? ", It is quite nice of you to invite me to the dance. It is nice to go with someone, you know?"
She really was glad he'd asked her to the dance. It wasn't that she was afraid to go alone, but that she wanted to know what it would be like to go with someone for a change.

 Bunn-E looked around, his red eyes inspecting everything in sight. The hand made decorations, the food, all those gathered here already. "Processing.... Processing..... Conclusion is....Interesting." the robot like bunny finally said after several minutes. He looked towards his goat friend, waiting for her to to drag him somewhere else. Harley wandered into the party, his coat sleeves almost trailing the ground, the crooked hood of his coat doing just that. His mouth remained zippered, but fixed in a permanent grin as he looked around for someone to mess with. His gaze first landed on a stitched bunny with pins sticking out everywhere. Perfect. A chuckle muffled around in his throat as he watched the bunny knock over a small tray of cakes. Reaching up to unzip his mouth, he wandered over to address the bunny. "Nice. But needs more....flare." he laughed, picking up a cupcake and launching it across the room.

 Starla greeted many as they entered, a clipboard in hand. She had been assisting the Mayor in the preparations and continued to do so even as the Villagers arrived. They had many more things planned and she'd need to make sure it all went according to plan!
Speaking of the plan, she heard a clattering and her head went instantly to where a stitched bunny had just knocked over a ton of cakes! What!? Briosca would be devastated if she saw that! Starla had to make sure she cleared it up before the baker saw what happened! She began to rush over to where the trouble maker was- before halting in her steps when a cupcake smacked her right in the face!!
She squealed and began to furiously wipe the frosting from her face so she could see who'd done it! Oh she'd get her hands on them and- she saw the pair and her face almost looking like it was going red. Jerks! Oh, but they looked so mean... She stared at them for a moment before inching the other way. No, no, she didn't need to bother them. Not all on her lonesome... She'd just pretend she didn't see it happen. Yes, yes that'd be good...

As Cora tried taking in more of what was happening around her, it was becoming clear to her that it might be quite overwhelming! It's not that she hadn't expected others to be around or anything like that, but it was a lot scarier for her without herrrrrrrrrrrrr---! Even through stitched lips, Cora still managed a surprised squeal as she was snatched right up and spun about! It took a moment to realize that it was Sid. She lit up instantly once it dawned on her, arms wrapping about him as she giggled, not even giving any mind to the twinge of pain that the stitches caused. He made her far too happy to care! Of course that didn't stop her from playfully hitting his shoulder once the spinning came to a stop.

Hollow let out a light chuckle. "Glad then." He had been scared he might of took too long to get to the dance. "Yeah, I agree, it is nice to come with someone. I'm glad you agreed to come with me!" He smiled. Hollow wouldn't have come to the dance alone, dances weren't exactly his cup of tea. He didn't mind going with someone, especially when he had a date this great, but he would not have come alone.
Together, they walked through the large double doors and into the Community Hall. What a sight. Hollow took a second to take everything in and observe all who were currently in the room. Wow, the Mayor and team had gone out of the way to beautify this place up!
Hollow wasn't exactly sure what to do next..did Angelus Dayo want to dance, get a snack, get a drink? "Care for a dance?" He asked offering his hand. Welp, best action he could think of. He laughed to himself. He really did want to try to impress Angelus Dayo.
 Why. Why am I even here. I'm single. I'm alone. I don't care. Elsa looked in disgust as she saw another couple enter the Hall. She had been invited by the mayor to come join the great dance. But she wasn't that impressed...a lot of...couples. Not cute. She grabbed a baked treat and took a bite into it. Not bad. At least, this isn't horrible. Honestly, she had no idea why she had come. Valentines had never been a hit for her, as great as she was, she always ended up alone. Whatever.

Wow! The Mayor and the crew really had over done herself with this place. Now wonder she had been so excited when she opened the doors. Surely there would be at least a decent turn out so this could happen next year as well.
"Oh! But of course Hollow," she replied as he offered her a dance, taking a hold of his paw and allowing him to lead her onto the dance floor. She had actually been practicing her dancing just for this, not wanting to accidentally step on his foot or something. That would be bad! She'd even put her hair up in order to have her not step on it while she walked, which was usually the case with her long black hair.

As the Villagers settle into the party, having a good time with their significant other or trashing the place, a particular pair walk into the party. They make an interesting pair- what one with a scowl and the other beaming. Did they come together? No, they were so different they possibly couldn't! There was something about them that brought about the need to know more...

Since the table was yet to need any help at the moment, Gala Celebrate had decided to socialize some, especially with some of the other singles. As she looked around, she noticed someone by the food tables, eating a baked treat.
Approaching the stranger, Gala Celebrate gave her a quick and happy smile before trying to start some small talk. Despite being so social, Gala had yet to make any friends yet. Maybe she could become friends with this other party guest? ", How are you enjoying the food?"
