Roll a six: Electric Field: The field is completely flat. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field are five electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These release static discharge across the field at random; electric attacks may be able to amplify themselves by using these stray charges to their advantage. The discharges also programmed to encourage pokemon to avoid standing in one location for too long This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ELECTRIC type attacks.

Lyle's hair was trying to stand on end before he'd taken more than two steps into the stadium. Luckily he had his hat on, and Spinel sitting on top of that. He was kind of glad he wasn't using as pokemon with fur, this field must be really uncomfortable from them. He took his spot in the trainer box and tossed out his pokeball, letting Hematite materialize on the field.

Niko could feel his hair become static as he entered into the stadium right after his opponent did. He could barely see who he was battling against but thankfully there are cameras and big tv screens. That way he could see everything, and of course, potential spectators could come and watch their randomly scheduled match. The floating thing definitely was a Haunter. He reached into his pocket and threw a regular pokeball at the space in front of him as he summoned Milo.
The Abra was not happy to see an electric field but he remained floating above it while letting out a small yawn.

So they were fighting an Abra, huh? Hematite out to be pretty good against that. "Start with Shadow Claw!" Lyle instructed his pokemon
Hematite raised a hand, which began to glow purple. Then she shot forward to slash at her opponent.

Hmm... A Ghost type pokemon. A bit rusty being a trainer, he had to think strategically since he had spend most of his time healing injured pokemon. This is going to be his first win or lose battle. Niko thought for a moment as he watched the Haunter's strong attack graze over his Abra and missed. "Alright Milo, try Psychic!" Milo put his hands on his head and used his telekinesis. Hematite grimaced and clutched her head as the attack hit her. Lyle made a face along with her, mostly because her last attack had missed. "Try it again!" ho told her.
So Hematite drew back her hand and tried to slash at Milo again.

OOF what a hit it was. Milo wobbled a little after taking in that immense amount of force. His tail went straight and he looked back at his trainer pointing at the Haunter.
Niko nodded and pointed a finger at the Haunter too. "I hope this is what you wanted Milo. Use Shadow Ball!"
Milo floated in the air and heaved a dark ominous shadow ball towards Hematite.

(OOC: I realized I forgot to factor in the critical in my previous posy, and edited Hematite's HP accordingly)
The Shadow Ball blasted through one of Hematite's hands, making the appendage shred away into a cloud of purple smoke. It quickly reformed though, while Lyle considered his strategy. "Try a Confuse Ray," he called.
Hematite grinned and her eyes flashed, as she began waving her hands about in a hypnotic pattern.

Confuse Ray [Ghost] - Roll two 4-sided dice in order to try to confuse your opponent. First dice determines if it hits or not; 1-2 = miss, 3-4 = hit. Second dice determines how long the condition lasts, 1 = 1 turn, 2 = 2 turns, etc. (Count only your opponent's turn for the countdown)
Confusion: Whenever you use a move, you must, after typing your attacking post/dice roll (if needed), make a second post generating a random number between 1 and 2. 1 = your attack fails and you hit yourself for 100 damage. 2 = your attack goes through (unless it missed in the first post, then you don't even have to bother with this).

Milo seemed to have been hit with Confusion. Little ducks circled around his head as he looked left and right in the battle field, not knowing what to do.
Niko called out to him to stay strong. "You can do it Milo. Give Shadow Ball another go."
The Abra stared at his opponent but he was feeling pretty light headed at the moment. Raising his head and his paws, he casted a Shadow Ball at the Haunter not knowing whether it be a hit or miss.

FrostyPeaches To keep track of how long your pokemon is effected by a status condition add the status effect and the number of turns under your attacks. So for your last post you would add: [Confusion 1/2] Lyle smiled when the Abra hit itself. That was better! "Keep it up, Hematite! Another Shadow Claw!" The Haunter cackled when her opponent hit himself. Then she rushed forward with her hands glowing to strike back at him. Niko encouraged his pokemon to attack with another shadow ball attack.
This time, the abra focused on his opponent and summoned a shadow ball, hopefully not at himself again..
