The rains were a bit of a hindrance when it came to Saraf's ability to go searching about for any clues as to the whereabouts of the two missing Shifters that had once been under the protection of his family. Some time had passed since he'd first started to look for them, without much luck at all, making him feel as though he would never find the pair. It was a shame in a way, his mother had seemed to enjoy the company of Issaly, enjoying being a mother to a youngling again. They were gone now though and his mother seemed to be slowly starting to understand both that they were gone and that Saraf wasn't going to find them. More then likely the pair, and whoever had taken them, had returned to where the Shifters came from, that being Jauhar. If they were in fact back in that great forest of nightmares he doubted very highly that he would be able to find them, especially since he had no desire to return there. He didn't much care for the Shifters as a whole so why should he go to where they were plentiful?

Sighing a little he looked out the window, watching the rain fall. It was welcome he supposed, not as though they got a ton of rain here, so he would deal with it. It would be good for their people, would fill the wells, and make sure that everyone had enough to drink. It was something that he would put up with and when the rains started to slack off them he might go about doing another sweep of the area just to humor his mother. Given the time that had passed they were probably ages away but it it made her feel better he didn't mind searching a bit more, getting clues where he could, maybe chatting with the people at the hospital once more. There was a lot that he supposed that he could do but it would have to wait until after the rains ceased as he really didn't want to head out into that.

As though considering what it was that he would do until the rains ended, likely training with the twins swords that he was borrowing. They weren't the weapons he'd been training with but they were the weapons he was able to get his hands on when the Shifter brothers were first taken. He'd wanted to have something to wield in case he came he caught up with whoever took them, but with not luck. Sighing a little Saraf turned his head, then paused when he caught a bit of movement out of the corner of his eye, "Eh?" Whirling around quickly he found himself starring at a group of ward that had somehow gotten into the house, "What in the name of Nerad are you doing in here?" He asked of the fluffy little pests. He wasn't really sure on the how but he could guess the why. With the rain coming down as it was they were probably just trying to get out of all that. Still, he couldn't say that he wanted a bunch of pest animals in the house.

"I should catch you and toss you out I suppose." He mused, though the idea didn't quite sit well with them. They weren't a dangerous animal, in fact they were actually kind of cute. He knew that they weren't likely to make a huge mess so it wasn't as though he had to get rid of them straight away. He supposed that he could just gather them up, keep them in a temporary cage, and let them go once the rains finally ended. He would just have to keep them out of sight so that his mother didn't get any ideas about keeping them. The last thing he wanted was a bunch of random critters running around the house, not when he could get her a good, well trained pet instead.

After watching the ward run back and forth across the room he moved to find something to keep them in first. A basket should work, something big enough that they wouldn't all be squished together and tall enough that they couldn't just jump out of it. Probably best if he got a top to put on it just in case, they were probably pretty good at climbing and the materiel a basket was made of was probably perfect for climbing. With these thoughts in mind he moved to find what he needed, setting it up out of the way, before he set about chasing the ward down, catching them one by one, each of them dropped into the basket. It was quite the work out for sure given how quick they were and after what felt like an eternity of running around like a crazy person he was finally able to drop the last ward in.

"Phew, alright, don't give me that look, not as though I mean to feed you to a janarim or something." He told the creatures, putting a makeshift cover on the basket and wandered to the kitchen to fetch a few things. An old loaf of bread, some fruit, and some nuts, all of which was given to the ward. He couldn't really leave them in the basket without food. That should be plenty to last them until he was able to release them outside. A smile on his lips, pleased with the accomplishment of capturing all the wayward creatures, Saraf returned to the window to watch the rain once more.
