Upon entering the forest, Oliver found another one of those strange scales. He gave it to Yuki, and then continued on. Maybe they should do some training while here. He agreed with himself, and then began looking for Pokemon willing to battle.

They began walking through the woods, trying to find their way to the next town. Czar was as broody as ever. After about ten minutes, some rustling was heard in a bush. Oliver grinned and tip-toed over to see a small Pokemon ready to battle.

Cameron's pace had slowed significantly as he approached the woods, and he was gasping for air as walked the last little bit to the tree line."There... There... There it... Is..."he managed to say in between his quick, deep breaths as he tried to regain what composure he had. He then tiredly walked over to a tree and put his hand against its trunk so that he had something to lean against."Go... Go have fun... For a while... I'll stay here..."he said as he tried to catch his breath, carefully getting the pack off his shoulders as he did so. Allegro frowned at how his trainer was looking, but if he needed any help, he'd say so, right? With that sort of logic, the grass starter jumped off his trainer's shoulder and went off to poke around the woods while the teen sat down and regained his stamina.

Cameron wasn't exactly sure how long he had sat for, but it was apparently long enough for him to rest up. Standing, the black-haired teen stretched for a moment, feeling somewhat stiff after sitting for so long. He then picked up his pack and shouldered it before looking around. From the way things looked, Allegro still wasn't back from his exploring yet, which made the teen wary of moving on."Well... I guess it can't hurt to stay put for a little longer..."he muttered to himself as he leaned against a tree. He didn't stay there for long, though, and soon pushed off of it and took a few paces forward before turning to face the spot he was standing in just a moment ago.
"What, and risk some other goon coming to attack us?"he questioned with a slightly more aggressive tone before going back over to the tree."Well, it's better than getting lost looking for Allegro. At least we know we are as long as we're here." "Yeah, out in the open where some other nut can spot us. And can see that we don't have our teammate." "They wouldn't know that. They'd just see that we have one ball on our belt and no Pokemon out. If they see us wandering in the woods, then they'll be sure we're missing someone." "Yeah, but we'd still be able to lose them in the trees." "And get ourselves lost at the same time."So the argument continued, with Cameron pacing back and forth between his spot near the tree and a spot a bit further off as his tone repeatedly switched from passive to aggressive and back passive. All the while overlooking the fact that, if someone that wished him ill actually did come across him at this point, they'd already know from the argument with himself that he was short one Treecko.

Eventually, the more aggressive side of the argument won out, and Cameron ended up heading into the woods to find where his Treecko had gotten to. Thankfully, he didn't have to search for very long, as Allegro had almost gotten back to him by the time he started looking."Ah, there you are. I had gotten worried with how long you were gone,"he said as the grass starter approached, causing the Pokemon to lower his head apologetically."Tree..."Cameron smiled lightly at what he assumed was Allegro's apology and knelt down to get a bit closer to the Pokemon's level."Hey, don't worry about it. I'm the one that told you to go do some exploring, remember? It's my own fault for fretting,"he said, laughing a little afterwards before rubbing the top of the Treecko's head.
It took the grass type a moment, but eventually he cheered up a bit and climbed up onto Cameron's shoulder."Treecko~"The black-haired teen smiled as Allegro made himself comfortable, then stood back up."Alright then! Let's head to our next stop~"the wispy male said as he started to make his way through the woods. He didn't try sprinting this time, since that last attempt had worn him out far too easily. Instead, he kept his pace brisk, but still slow enough that he wouldn't trip over himself if he needed to stop suddenly.

Now back in the woods, Cameron kept his focus on the hike that awaited him. He was at least looking to get back to Petalburg before having to stop and rest again. The trip was going to be slower this time around, but that was fine. That just meant more time for the underweight teen to appreciate the sights and sounds of the woods. It also meant more time for Allegro to enjoy the area.

Cameron was once again back to whistling as he made his way through the woods, his Treecko sitting on his shoulder and humming along with the tune. For the most part, it looked like the Pokemon in the forest were avoiding the duo, and that was something that worried Cameron. He had half expected to see at least one Pokemon pop out at him by now. But no, there had been no troublesome critters since the critic of a Zigzagoon back in Littleroot. Had something scared them off?

If there was one good thing about the lack of encounters, it was that Cameron did not have to worry about being slowed down by wild Pokemon challenging him. Just ahead was the exit that led to Petalburg City, and from the looks of things the teen wasn't going to be getting jumped this time around. Without any further ado, the black-haired male left the forest behind and, although he wasn't thrilled about the idea, made his way to the city.

The young trainer, still finding himself enjoying the atmosphere of the dense forest, started to feel as if he was going to doze off for the night. He felt like he was ready to take on this first gym leader in Hoenn...and well, if he wasn't...then that was too bad. Surely his Pokémon were ready to go. He believed that along with his newly acquired Gallade, that he could definitely reach new heights as a dragon, flying Pokémon master. And why? Because he has the most unique dragon Pokémon that's on this planet...well, at least, other than those mythical dragons of course. There weren't many psychic dragon typed Pokémon and he was the one who had it.

Calvin sat there for a moment, seemingly asleep...that is, until Delia had started barking as if another unwanted visitor was approaching. Calvin, instantly opening his eyes and looking to see where exactly this unwanted visitor was coming from, looked to the night, where he found what might be the cutest Pokémon he'd ever seen. He had no idea what it was, until he held his Pokédex up to it, which told him it was 'Buneary'...and wasn't native of Hoenn. How was it in Hoenn then? But, he instantly went to battle it because he wanted to give the Pokémon a home.

He watched as the ball shook at a rapid pace, but as it shook, he noticed it start to slow...and slow...and slow...and slow ever more, then, as he was watching it, the center circle blinked red. He had caught it. (OOC: Sent to inactive Party). Ryujin gains 30 XP (Lucky Egg)
Calvin sat there for a little while, treating Gallade with Potions and whatnot. The Pokémon just got out of a battle; so he really needed to make sure it wasn't too hurt. It wasn't of course, taking down a relatively stronger Pokémon. The moveset that it knew was certainly impressive as well. Who would've guess that a Gallade could ever learn Dragon Pulse...but then again, this wasn't just any normal Gallade either. He really wondered what exactly this Pokémon could learn in the future. The possibilities on it were endless...and their journey was just beginning.
Just as he finished what he was doing, another visitor showed up...another one being a nice little cute Pokémon. And one that wasn't exactly native to Hoenn. What the heck was up with the Pokémon that weren't of this place. Still...he figured he'd do the same as the last time. Win and then catch it...mainly because he'd give this one a home too. "Maverick, you're up."

He watched as the ball shook at a rapid pace, but as it shook, he noticed it start to slow...and slow...and slow...and slow ever more, then, as he was watching it, the center circle blinked red. He had caught it (OOC: Sent to Inactive). Maverick gains 30 exp (Lucky Egg).
Calvin sat there...now refusing to get comfortable because it was but a matter of time before he would be facing another Pokémon...or at least, that's what he thought. He had seemingly been there all night...and he had faced so many Pokémon during the time. He could only hope that the wild Pokémon would leave him alone for once, but then again, that was not going to happen.
Just as he started to think that maybe he would get time to breathe...Delia had started barking again...to which he shook his head a bit. He had no idea how this was going to work. He could only hope that this Pokémon was a little weaker than the last. He had those two Pokémon's balls in his bag...because he was only supposed to carry six. He would of course send them to Birch when he got to Rustboro.
