The Solrock and Lunatone duo was much harder than Evan had expected. Zoro hardly stood a chance against these two, but he still managed to hold on until the end, fainting after another Rock Slide attack. Undine however finished off the Lunatone before Evan had the chance to call out another Pokemon. There wasn't much time in between the end of this battle and the start of another one soon after for Evan to do much about Zoro's condition. He managed to heal up Undine in time however, leaving her out to deal with a Golbat that had appeared from the ceiling of the cave. That was the plan anyway, but Luffy floated forward determined he could take on the bat. "Alright, but be careful." Evan warned the feline. With a bob of his head, the tiny cat stepped forward.

With the Golbat cleared out of there way, Evan continued forward, finding his way through the Mountain. All he knew was that Rustboro was someways south from where he currently was. Whether it took him a day or a decade he'd make it. His battle was Norman was waiting for him in Petalburg. Letting Sanji from his ball, Evan quickly went over his plan. For the time being, it seemed these mons were just a bit to strong for his Pokemon to handle, so it was up to Saga. However, he thought of something, and well, Evan wasn't entirely knowledgeable about battling tactics, and his plan was switch training. Sending in one Pokemon only to swap it with another, the first Pokemon watches the second battle, and in some way gains experience from that battle, even if they hadn't fought in it. Sanji seemed unsure about this, but in the end agreed to try it out for awhile. At least until a Pokemon came by that he felt he himself could handle.
Their first test subject approached, a third Zubat from the back of the cave. Swooping down, Sanji leaped forward and readied his body. The Zubat came in with a Air cutter, only for Saga to step forward and switch places with the fighting-type. Saga's rage built, sending her into an outrage, beating the Zubat back. It retaliated with another Air Cutter. Saga quickly ended the battle with another beat down thanks to Outrage, ending the battle, and calming the Mega Sceptile down once more to her calm demeanor.

With that Zubat gone, Evan took a moment to quickly heal up Saga. She'd taken quite the beating from that Zubat, despite their strength differences, a weakness was still a weakness. "Your doing fine, Saga. I think this really is working out." He patted the gecko's shoulder. She gave him a stiff nod, and both looked over to Sanji who appeared to be testing out a new move of some sort. "Yea, you'll see. I no time we'll finally be ready to beat Norman." Evan grinned. A quick potion was all Evan got in before the Lunatone was quickly replaced with yet another Zubat. Were these caves honestly that infested? Well, there was no time to debate, as the Zubat was quickly launching an attack against the less intimidating Sanji who was still practicing his new move. Saga easily swept it, taking the hit. Yet another Zubat summoned only to bite the dust. Saga could ceratinly handle herself against a Pokemon she could just barely deal some honest hard-hitting damage too. It in return was at an advantage. What it lacked in strength it had it type coverage. Air Cutter didn't impose it either. Even still, Saga managed to prevail. Saga had done it.. she'd managed to overpower the bat and now the cave seemed eerily quiet.

The battle started strongly in the girl's favor. Saga was being demolished by her tactic of Fire Spin and confusion starting out, later just revolving around Fire Spin... It was hard to see this all play out, but in the end, thanks to Undine's endurance, Evan was able to get some Sitrus Berries to Saga to bring her up enough to deal the final blow to the girl's final Pokemon. Ironically ending the battle in his favor with confusion. "Hot damn, I lost." The girl grinned, calling back her fallen Charmeleon. "It was a really heated battle, right?" Evan replied, earning a satisfied nod form the girl. "My names Mellon by the way, it was real fun. I feel satisfied now." With a salute and quick farewell, the girl vanished back into the deepness of the cave. Evan in the mean time worked on healing up his Pokemon.

Everyone healed up, Evan decided to rest down further into the cave. It wasn't long before they eventually found the southern exit, only to notice something nearby the exit up on a ledge. Two Bagon peering over a high cliff. Evan wasn't sure what they were doing, but something told him to simply watch. Though, boy, I think you're relying to heavily on 'er." Evan turned his gaze from Saga to the man. He couldn't deny the man was right. "Well, right now, I was just using her to switch train, Sanji and Aki." Evan replied, motioning towards the Hitmonlee at his side. Aki peeked out from behind Evan's leg, giving a curious 'chic'. "I see, aye, switch trainin' be a real nice way o' training. Especially with Pokemon who jus' ain't strong enough on their own. Yer Hitmonlee certainly handed 'imself well enough though." Evan's gaze shifted back to Saga, the reptiles gaze was on Evan in return. Her smile was all Evan needed to agree with what this man said. Saga was his strongest Pokemon, but... He needed to stop relying on her so much. If anything ever happened to Saga... he might not manage to keep going. No, he was sure Louhi and Origin would be there as well, but for now... Meteor falls got it's name from two different sources, that likely revolved around the same reasoning. The holes in the earth created from Meteor's that came crashing through the mountain's ceiling and formed the many waterfalls that flowed through the mountain, and the waterfalls themselves. Avikna would actually admit that she found this place rather beautiful. It's ivory walls, to crystal clear spring water. It was a relaxing scene. That was until a Golbat flew down from the ceiling and began to harass Tay and Mave, who'd walked ahead some. The wolf snapped at the bat, trying to warn it to leave them be, but it was persistent. Terra stepped forward, catching the bat off guard with a slash attack. The bat tried to retaliated, and for the most part it put up a decent fight, but in the end Terra outmatched it. The path once more clear, the group descended down the man-made stairs towards Rustboro City.
