~Yasogami Haunted House~
Class 1-1
Haunted House Theme

Hosted in the classroom of 1-1, the first one thinks when entering is that 'this seems way too big to fit inside that classroom'. And that's the last thing they think, before being grip by grueling fear. Inside the Haunted House the walls are dirty and covered in dry red splatters, and what first starts out as a school is filled with the eery sound of a piano from the distance. The scares inside seem endless, with dolls coming to life and popping out of the ground, the cries of babies that slowly grow closer, and most importantly...some extremely faulty electrical wiring. But if one manages to overcome this first challenge, what lies beyond is even worse.

Beyond the first level of this dreadful haunted house, one finds a decrepit factory. Signs hang about the place, warning of faulty wiring and the accidents that had once wracked the place. Here and there the floor shifts, confusing one's sense of direction, and limbs stick out from machinery in strange places that suggest that not every guest who makes it this far...ever really makes it out again. And beyond that, lies the ultimate level...the door blocked with signs that warn against entering, yet beckon one inside with a strange play against their curiosity. Near the door a scream pierces the area, sending a chill down spines...but can you leave whoever lies beyond alone, if they're in danger? I think not!

The tone shifts to that of a derelict hospital, haunted by ghosts and many fears of the unseen. The moans that echo when one enters a room often seem to come from behind, and when one enters a room, they may find to their horror that the door's been held shut by something sinister, trapping them within. Notes spread across the house speak only of the terrors that fill the place, and many have simply been left bereft of thoughtful input, instead scrawled across with but a single word. 'Run!', 'Blood!', 'Help!'. Each combining to show the true fear of those who came before.

But there is an escape; it's said that if you become trapped by one of these creatures, you need only write the name of your crush on one of the sheets of paper, and the ghost will move on to them instead. Several names are listed already; Soji, Yukiko, Kou, Risette...and this is only where the game begins.

Quote:
Guests must traverse three levels, overcoming many challenges before making their escape.

On the First Floor, one must overcome haunted dolls and bloody babies that chase them through the hallways. Chalkboards scrawl across themselves, but somewhere, inside one of the rooms there must be an escape.

On the Second Floor, their footing shifts and moves, probably due to some belts, but the only way to escape is to find a security card inside of a pitch black room.

On the Third and Final Floor, the scariest traps await. Entering the wrong room may see one trapped in the Haunted House with no escape, save to write the name of their loved one. And if one is lucky enough to make it through the bloody bandages and traps with their determination intact, there they meet...the doctors! Only then does escape lies beyond.

Mei Hanako
Mei'd travelled with Kensu into the building, leaning on his shoulder. Even with the hushed whispers, and the commentary from some passing by students, she felt at ease by his side. And yet, she did catch one thing in particular.
"A Festival today, Hm?" she mused softly to Kensu. "That must mean there are a bunch of events. Are there any nearby, Kensu?"
Though she could catch the whispers and murmurs of people, she still was unable to tell quite what everything was....But, that's what Kensu was there for...Yeah?
Besides, she trusted his judgement to lead her somewhere interesting. Somewhere where they could enjoy their time together.

Traveling with Mei may had seemed like normal to others, but for Kensu, today was special. Being by her made him feel as happy as possible. As she had noted on how it was a festival going on right now, Kensu did take the time to look around and see what was happening. His old school didn't have any festivals, so this was a new experience to him. Looks like there is-" Kensu said as he stopped himself short as he noticed what his eyes had landed on. "-a haunted house..." Though he didn't discuss it much, Kensu wasn't all that good with haunted houses. But hopefully this was just one of the poorly done events. "You... want to go in there?"

Tsukiyo

The festivities were in full swing, but for one visitor, it had been... well... quite a long time since she'd attended a school festival of any kind. She had no intention of missing out on this festival, though, and chuckled quietly to herself as she floated invisibly through the doors and into Yasogami's haunted house stage. She was planning to play a few pranks throughout the day - against both those going through and those running the event - but her mere presence dictated one thing: This haunted house was now actually haunted.

Mei smiled softly as she leaned against Kensu's shoulder, listening to Kensu as he confirmed her suspicions on there being a festival. As he paused a bit though, a tiny, playful smirk came to her lips.
"Ohhh, I've always been fond of Haunted Houses." she called lightly, sounding excited. "I've always found that they can't quite get to the part where it scares me though. I'm only afraid of things I can see, after all."
....Wait, was she making a joke? Or, was she noticing a bit of Kensu's reluctance, and feigning enthusiasm to get his reaction?
It was hard to say.....Even if she couldn't tell herself, Mei had a hell of a poker face.

As Kensu was happy to spend time at the festival with Mei, when she had noted that she was fond of haunted houses, his gut sank for a moment. he could give an obvious assumption that her claim that she was afraid of what she could see was just a jest, it still stung a bit. "So... we can go in.... if you are ready..." Kensu noted, reluctant. he was willing to swallow up his fears if it meant being able to have a fun time here. It was his first festival, might as well make some good memories. though for whom the memories would be good would be from perspectives.

Long-Nosed Host

Just as Kensu and Mei worked up the courage to enter, the door to the Haunted House swung open as if of it's own volition, the ominous darkness beckoning them forward. The room ahead exuded a soft melody, and it felt as if the only light to warm Kensu's way was the familiar ones he would be leaving behind in the Hallway. And there, next to the door that would continue beyond, was a table decorated in a deep blue, the same as the rest of the room. Sitting behind it was a man with an unusually long nose, and a wide grin on his face, chin rested on cupped hands. Before him was a notebook, closed for now, but still eye catching in the sparsely decorated room. "Ah, it seems we have guests. Welcome to the Haunted House...where only those of stout heart, and even stronger mind may enter."

The man waved his hand over the booklet on the table, and the pages flew open...paper flew buy until the small rush of wind was gone, and it at last settled upon one particular page with a list of names ended halfway down. Most were crossed out already, perhaps by the pen residing in the notebook's spine. "If you wish to enter, you must first sign a contract. Don't worry, it merely says you will take full responsibility for your actions...whatever those may be, once you are inside." The macabre man glanced between the two, and as if instantly picking up on their unique traits, let a small harmless giggle emerge. "Don't worry, only one of you needs to sign. You may think of it as an...attendance record, of sorts. Or if the gentleman would prefer, he may sign for you both...no matter."

This was it. The final harrowing before they entered the already much bemoaned Haunted House of the festival. Actually, word had hardly spread of what awaited inside at all. Was it perhaps due to something like this, a contract not to share what they saw? Or...had few people returned? What awaited them inside was a mystery...but it would take courage to turn what might remain a mystery, into knowledge which only the two of them would share. It was one way in which the sprouting couple might help to strengthen the hefty ties that formed their bond.

As the doors to the Haunted House swung open on their own, and the darkness within ushered chills down Kensu's spine, Kensu quickly noticed a man there nearby a table. The extremely long nose could easily be played off as some parlor gag, but just of how natural it looked, felt just unnatural. But as the long-nosed host had noted that before being able to enter, they had to sign a contract and then addendum of how only one of them needed to sign, Kensu assumed that either the person already knew Mei or there was really more than what was obviously shown. "Ah. Alright." Kensu said, slightly monotone, but personally, he was on the fast track to regretting even mentioning it. But forward he did go, signing in both Mei as well as himself for the Haunted house.

Mei Hanako
Mei heard another mysterious voice as they approached the doors...Someone taking attendance for them. And yet...something about it seemed..odd.
"Go ahead and sign for me, Kensu." she stated lightly as the boy would sign, moving over to take his arm again. "Are you worried? It is just a haunted house."
The kind of spooky things there would unnerve most people...Though, being at a lack of sight meant she couldn't take in the atmosphere as....effectively as Kensu would. Being used to sharp noises, and the slight chill in the air, she kept her hand entwined with the boys, as they would move in.
"Do keep speaking to me, Kensu." she added, softly. "Talk out your worries...and let me know what it is you see."
She did have to wonder what the school had to offer, after all..

As Kensu had gotten back to Mei after signing in for the both of them, he had smiled wryly as she had mentioned that it was just a haunted house. It was definitely a haunted house, the feel that it gave off. But it was just the idea of it being a haunted house, and the thing that was typically associated with it that scared him. But, swallowing the thought into his guts, Kensu sighed. "Alright, I will keep talking to you, Mei, but this isn't anything to worry about." Kensu said, trying to keep his cool as he guided her along into the Haunted House. He had no clue what to expect, and that was the worst thing about it.

Mirai Hatto

The ugly years of being a fool...
User Image
Afraid of ghosts? "Not a chance. I am tougher than I look." The girl winked cutely, before turning to look in front of her, some intrigue bubbling inside of her. She really wondered what kind of booth they had come up with this year. The company wasn't so bad either, so that was that. "I am in 2-2, though I can't say I took part of the booth's preparation. To be honest, I don't even know what my class is doing." As to his comment about being seen together, the girl just shrugged and smiled. "I don't care what people think." Considering rumors about her were already circulating...and that she was seen with a different boy every other month or so... she had got used to that sort of attention. And she didn't care what girls or guys were saying about her. Screw them all.

They arrived to the Haunted House booth, and Mirai tilted her head to the side, before turning to look at Mikoto with a smirk. "So, let's go. Or are you having second thoughts? This is your last chance to turn back." The girl giggled, stepping inside the classroom.

Member of the band Nyx
Class 2-2

'It used to be when I'd see a girl that I liked, I'd get out my book and write down her name. But when the grass got a little greener on the other side, I'd just tear out that page.'

"Of course I'm ready. Nobody likes a doubter." Mikoto ran a hand threw his hair and offered a teasing smile to Mirai. You couldn't keep worrying about this sort of stuff, or you'd just end up with girls laughing at you. They were doing a haunted house? Lets do a haunted house! If he kept moping then she had every right to ditch him along the way. "This way!" Mikoto grabbed Mirai's hand and tugged for her to follow as he led her into the booth with energy enough to spare. Of course when they entered the first room they entered was a strange sort of dark blue...and a long nosed man was sitting there at the desk, as if he were waiting.

'Welcome...what will you find inside, I wonder? But before you go, you must sign a contract. It simply says you will take responsibility for your actions. You know...the usual stuff.'

Mikoto was already stopped dead as he contemplated the sign-up sheet and it's mysterious guardian, who were already creepy enough as is. If he found out the guy's name was Igor and Frankenstein was somewhere, he wouldn't be surprised. But...this set the tone at least. He picked up the pen a bit hesitantly, signing his name. "I...guess they really want to set the mood right off the bat. Ha." Mikoto motioned for Mirai to do the same, stepping towards the inner door, and turned to wink as he waited for them to make their official entrance into the creepy booth put together by the Student Council. He slid his hand between the curtains and pulled them back, motioning for the beauty to go first, not because he was afraid per say...but because that was what a gentleman would do. And everyone knew that creepers jumped the person in back first anyways, so he was really doing a noble deed here! Surely. ...he needed to reconsider this again.

I fooled around and fell in love, since I met you baby'

They were going to actually do this. Even if Mirai could practically touch the doubt surrounding the green haired teen, he pushed forward without second thoughts or an excuse. He took her hand and tugged her inside of the classroom, and the dark haired girl followed without a word, genuinely curious of what would be waiting for them inside of the classroom.

What she saw there wasn't what she had been expecting. Eyebrows arched in skepticism, and tentatively the girl took a step towards the table where the long-nosed old man was waiting...speaking of contracts and responsibility. What did that even mean? "Definitely trying to scare you..." She shrugged, and signed her name, before turning her gaze to Mikoto, almost as if expecting him to take charge. Instead, he let her go first... and the junior couldn't help the half scoff, half laugh that escaped her lips. "What a gentleman." Her tone was teasing, sarcastic...and as she passed him and through the curtain, her playful gaze turned to him once again. "Are you scared? Making me go first. It's alright...it isn't so bad." Actually...she hadn't even looked.

After a bit of traversing the first floor with Mei, Kensu's wits were already starting to get strained. From the baby cries that seemed to start and stop in random intervals from random places each time, to that one doll that he swore that he saw earlier pop up around each third corner. With all of his willpower focused on keeping face and not screaming, Kensu smiled wryly at Mei. "You doing alright?" His voice was strained, but he did his best to keep it together.

This Sheez' Be Crazzzaaay!!!

No sooner had Kensu turned to look back towards Mei, then a hot breath brushed at his neck. Turning around warranted an amount of Courage to be mustered, and even then the sight was likely something he didn't want to meet; a doll leaning in next to him, face-to-face, and letting out a sad moan followed by asyncronistic laughing, like something was already broken inside of her. It's design was atypical...long black hair, a blood-red dress, purple wings...very much a mesh of a disastrous young girl, and a depiction of Moh Shoyuu. Around it's neck hung a clock, constantly clicking, and yet the hand was always stuck at 9 o'clock...the hour of twilight, perhaps? But broken as it was, the time was always constant.

"Hey mister, there's a fork ahead. You don't want to [pzzzt] way, or you'll just wind up going in a loop. It'd be a real shame if you stayed around here much longer, mister. The baby's just waking up. Eheehee." A hand moved to cover the doll's mouth as soon as it finished speaking, the unnatural breath Kensu felt halting. The doll's eyelids pulled wide, tearing the stitches holding them together open as it's expression changed and it seemed to reel back on it's stand. "Oh nooo, mommy said not to speak in front of strangers! Now's she's going to punish meeee!" The doll made a grabbing motion at the sides of it's head as it spoke, it's eyes beginning to water up with a crimson liquid...and then it let out a loud, sharp scream, and the lights vanished. "Look at the time! I've got to goooo!" No sooner had the doll belted out the terrified line, then it sunk back beneath the floor boards, and vanished.

...in the distance, the sound of a crying baby could be heard. But now, there was something else as well...the sound of a piano, playing in the distance. It seemed to be coming from the opposite direction of the baby, but a sharp note of discord now cut in every once in a while, as if related to their encounter. It seemed like only 3 more notes would be required to ruin the melody entirely...

Floor 1

Inside you find hallways full of broken desks, police tape, and blood...all lit by lights which swing by exposed cords, flickering in and out. The halls zig-zag past rooms which seem to be locked shut here or there, and windows obscured by dirt and bloody handprints. The ambiance is filled with the sound of dripping in the distance, perhaps a leak, perhaps some other unscrupulous fluid...and there is no shortage of ways to go.

You've discovered the First Split Hallway in the Haunted School Hallways! You may go either Left, Right, or Directly Ahead. They say that if you make the wrong decision once, you wind up in the last classroom you passed. If you make the wrong decision a second time, you will be lost in here for eternity.
