It was with great relief that Huey and Dianna exited Mt. Mortar, and with the late evening sun bathing his body had no reason to keep his flashlight on. As promised he released Yuki once they were clear out of the mountain and was greeted with a happy cry and a quick hug, all to which he accepted with a smile. "We're almost there." he told his team cheerfully before turning to Yuki. "It's the Ice Path, so you'll be fine there. We'll really be able to get some battling in for you too, Dianna." both cheered, pleased with this announcement, and managed to calm down enough to restore some order and start on actually getting to Mahogany Town.

Within ten minutes the trio were in Mahogany and had just passed the Pokémon Center when Huey was flagged down by Nurse Joy-- whose appearance outside the building surprised him and whose jog slowed to a trot and them a walk when she realized he'd scared the boy and put his pokemon on edge. "You're Hugo Green, right?" she waited until he received a wary nod. "Your mother sent you a few things over for you and asked us to give it to you when you came by." she explained, her trademark gentle smile plastered across her face. She led him inside the Center, presenting him with a rather large coat and a small box. The young boy made sure to thank the nurse as he took the items, waiting until he got back outside to open the box. "Oh!" with a pleasant surprise he was greeted with two Big Mushrooms, and a note from his mother reminding him to keep warm and stay safe when he went through the Ice Path.

It was sweet, and very much appreciated.

OOB:

Huey ticked the fungi away into his bag and pulled it off entirely to slip on the jacket, though left it unzipped until he got closer to the Ice Path. The puffy jacket was certainly large and would keep him warm, not to mention restrict his movements; he was having trouble just bending over to pick his bag back up. But he managed, and with his arms stuck out at his sides awkwardly even managed to toddled throughout the rest of the town and headed out of the town.

Mahogany actually seemed to he a little bigger than he thought as it took Giovanni quite a bit of time to pass through the crowd just to get to the gate to lead on to the next route. Gio's Prinplup and Lucario seemed to make things a little bit harder. Prinplup seemed to think everyone was there for him and Lucario was trying to keep the half Water type inbetween Gio and him. Thankfully for Lucario they were almost out of town

Gio passed the gate to get onto the road that led to Lake of Rage. There was a legend a while back of a Trainer capturing a Red Garydos a few years back that went on to become the Champion. That Trainer also managed to capture several legendary Pokemon as well. Jasmine swore that it was a true story but Gio wasn't sure since he never actually saw the Pokemon Trainer. Not to mention the Trainer disappeared shortly after he had become the Champion. Just like another Legendary Trainer from Kanto years before that one. Gio hoped that one day he could be Champion but he wouldn't just disappear in the middle of the night like all of those Trainers.

Giovanni arrived back in Mahogany and decided to spoil his Empoleon a bit by feeding it the five Rare Candy he had just been previously given. After that he placed the Water type back in his ball deciding that he would take the long way around back to Ecruteak instead of skipping across the pond. Now he was on his way to battle Chuck and Gio didn't feel he had much to fear... other than of course the fact that Chuck was a Fighting Type Gym and Gio didn't have much to offer to that. Just to heal up before the big rush back to Olivine so he would definitely be ready for Cainwood. After exiting the Pokemon Center Gio took a moment to stare at the Gym. Even being a god thirty feet away like he was it was still pretty cold from where he was. It sent a shiver down his spine but he knew this Gym would be the least of his worries if he managed to make it here. Gio walked in Mt Morter not quite sure about how to get to the otherside. It had been a long long time since he had been here and even longer had he thought since he would be back here. There was a lot of typical mountain and cave type Pokemon and none of them really intrested Giovanni. It was good that he was here though because at least he could get the chance to battle some Fighting Type Pokémon before he went to battle Chuck.

Stepping around in the dark was the hard part but it wasn't nearly as difficult as when he was younger. He stepped on a rock, or at least what he thought was a rock and it moved. Not only did it move but it also yelped at him. Gio could see that it was a fossil type Pokemon and it seemed to be angry with him. As it charged Lucario started to jump forward for battle but Gio beat his number one to the punch by throwing a Poke Ball to silence the charge. It rolled three times and clicked.

As Gio went to go pick up the newly equipped Pokemon his Pokegear started to ring. It wasn't a recognized number so Gio almost ignored it, but it was a Johto number so he willingly answered it. He was pretty suprised to see that it was Eon. "Heya Eon, long time no see. I'm kinda in a cave right now so I apologize for the darkness" it was pretty dark around them. But it wasn't bad enough to where he couldn't see

Entering into Mahogany town, Avikna stopped mid-way between the gym and the Pokemon center, located fairly close to one another. A chill wafted from the gym, meaning it was likely this would be an Ice-type gym. Her thoughts immediately went to thinking about just using Mave and Arietty, but she was reminded she was relying to heavily upon those two... and their obedience wouldn't last for ever. If only she could just skip this gym and head straight to Claire... She really didn't understand her desire for beating that woman, but... Well, maybe it was just the dragon tamer in her that she refused to let free?

Whatever the case, she did want to rely on Mave and Arietty, which meant training. Seeing as it was an Ice-type gym, and her last battle with an Ice-type leader relied on Arietty and Mave, this time she'd have to branch out. Aislin was one option, so was Lexera, minus the mega stone that made her part dragon, and... Etoile. Perhaps even... Reaching a hand up she felt Celsius' cowl. Yea, a Steel-type would do well also. With a quick adjustment of her team, she headed into the Pokemon Center, first she wanted the Chima checked out, then it was time for training.

There wasn't anything that stood out to Nurse Joy as abnormal when it came to the Chima, so Avikna quickly left with that information. Her impatient tendencies were shining through as she eagerly started north to the Lake of Rage. On the way there, she called Celsius out from behind her,. "You're first for training, so be prepared." Celsius' eye stared at the red-head for a moment before he turned to lead the way, leaving his sheath to Avikna. They hadn't walked long before a Lickitung showed itself, apparently chasing after a round stone. Celsius swooped in, grabbing the stone, not expecting the Lickitung to grow angry at him. What opponent could be more perfect? A normal-type like that wasn't likely going to be able to do anything to Celsius a part ghost-type. "Celsius use Iron Head and get rid of it!" Avikna called out.

However, the Lickitung quickly showed it would be a nuisance, not only with a move that doubles in power thanks to a held item, but also because it was a move that was strong against Celsius' typing. Thankfully, Aislin didn't act like a brat when Avikna motioned her forward. Celsius wasn't going to be taking this foe down by himself.

"There." Avikna stated as she deposited the last potion back into her bag. The blade weighed the stone in his cowl before floating away. Avikna recognized the stone, as she'd used a few before hand. How lucky to find one randomly just when she wanted to train up a Pokemon. At least the training in theory should go by quicker now.

The Bellsprout promptly put in it's place, Avikna and company continued onward through the town. there wasn't much distance between there and the gatehouse that would lead them to the Lake of Rage. However, there seemed to be a hold up at the gate house, a Mareep and a Flaaffy stood by, blocking the group from advancing. Avikna wasn't in the mood to deal with Lexera's previous evolutions. "Celsius." She motioned. The blade didn't need anything more than that and floated forward, targeting the Mareep. "Aislin you deal with that Flaaffy." Avikna stated, much to Aislin's surprise. She'd been preparing to take over against the Mareep if she'd of been needed, but it looked like this was turning into a double battle instead.
