He was slightly tired going straight from work to patrolling but it couldn't be helped. He hadn't been spending much time patrolling or training or doing really anything outside of working and spending time with his family. He felt justified in his ignoring the war temporarily, but that only lasted so long, so tonight he donned the uniform and took to the streets weapon in hand though he rarely used it and simply wandering in no general direction.
It was quiet at the moment and it often was, but that didn't bother Shang. He wanted really to avoid trouble if he could despite months on months of training and learning to fight, he would never be the type to really go looking for trouble. It just found him.
The thought made him glance over his shoulder, as though thinking it would bring it to fruition, even though he felt nothing. He sighed and shook his head, continuing on his path.

Luxor found an odd kind of peace when he went patrolling. He was not sure why, as it had not been that way before, and he was sure he was looking for something dangerous and unhappy. Why would he look forward to finding something in the middle of attacking someone else, like a monster or a Nega attacking a human?
It wasn't exactly that, though, that helped him feel calm.
He was out here to do his job, yes, and it was that sense of purpose that he needed in his life right now. He felt like he was at a bit of a blank space as far as his role in things went, and though he was happy to live in limited service, to tend to just his carnival and just Zia when she needed him, he felt like he needed to use his powers as a knight for more.
He liked being able to help others, to train them, so tonight he was actually not looking for trouble, but rather looking for other white moon auras to follow. It did not take him long to find one, and he moved toward it, though it did not feel like someone who would probably benefit from anything he had to teach. He was not really the most experienced out there.
When he saw Shang in the distance, he trotted up quietly to close the gap.

His first glance had garnered nothing but a moment later he felt another aura, order though and when she turned he saw the other trotting up to him, so he stopped. He was rather relieved it wasn't someone from the other side, even though he wasn't sure relief was what he should feel. Either way, he now at least it seemed had company.
"Hello," he said greeting the other, who at first he might have assumed was a mars knight, but the symbols and let him know otherwise. This guy was a pluto knight, a rather lacking in clothing pluto knight but a pluto knight.
"Out patrolling as well," he asked breaking the ice so to speak. He was curious about the other immediately because even with the meeting with the code he hadn't noticed another Pluto knight.

"Hello," Luxor said, with a nod of greeting.
He was very stiff and silent sort of man, but he was trying as best he could to be better about working with others, especially other knights. He found he wanted to offer what help he could.
And maybe he was getting a little better at that: he did help a few people so far, with training and some basic strength testing.
"I am. Do you need some help? Er... or. Have you found any trouble?"
He took a breath, calming himself a bit though he did not think he was all that worked up. He was feeling a lot of nerves, really, but he could not really place why.

Shang didn't fully notice the awkwardness in the moment, as he was not the most outwardly social person for the vast majority of his life. The fact that Luxor seemed a bit nervous wasn't entirely lost on him though. For the moment, as long as the other wasn't panicking he figured it was nothing.
"I don't need any help, well not like not, as far as being in danger. I've not found anything out of the usual just yet, not even a youma. It's pretty quiet, but I wouldn't mind some company patrolling. I'm told repeatedly and frequently that one shouldn't patrol alone a lot."
He looked around for a moment, "I was going to head a little further west, then probably do a bit of training before I call it a night. You welcome to join me if you are up for it."

"Yes, I've heard the same. Patrolling alone is not that good an idea these days, I suppose."
He doubted it was ever a good idea.
There was a lot of really dangerous Negas out there, and even youma could get pretty mean if taken on alone. He did not have all that much experience with youma, really, but the one large run in he had with them was more than enough for him. He hated them, and wanted to keep people safe from them as best he could.
Ever since the Carnival was attacked...
"I appreciate the offer, I like being able to help."

"No, it generally isn't ever. I try to encourage other's to patrol together, but you can't force it. Not only that, sadly at some point you will probably find yourself doing a loan patrol. But that a part of the job, a bit of the dedication, right?"
Shang turned and continued heading west, eventually he would swing back and head to the park, but for now it was west. "I'm Shangri-la, Squire of Pluto, by the way. Sorry I didn't introduce myself at first. You're Pluto too, yes? First other I've ever met."
He came to an alley and turned down it, going half way, before decided to go up to the rooftops. "Up we go," he said in warning before jumping.

Luxor followed him as he jumped up to the rooftops, opting to join him considering he offered. It was the best place to get a good view of the city, and to head out on a patrol.
Thinking about it, Luxor had not met many other Pluto knights, either. There was one other he could remember, and he had met her when he first started this whole knight thing, which seemed like an eternity ago.
There were plenty of other kinds of Knights, he certainly had met a whole bunch of them, but not from his planet.
Or... dwarf planet, he supposed.
"Did I introduce myself? My name is Luxor. It's nice to meet you, Shangri-La. I can't say I know many other Pluto knights, either. Do you think it's because Pluto is so small?" As soon as he said it, he felt like it was a stupid thing to say. He frowned at himself.

Shang headed across the roof top and look down on the otherside. It wasn't overly necessary as he didn't feel anything, but he looked anyway. It made him feel more secure there wasn't anything lurking. He knew despite being able to feel most things he didn't always pick up on everything.
"Luxor. Its nice to meet you too," he said looking the other momentarily, "... I have no idea about it being small. My wonder itself is pretty large, so I'm betting its bigger than most people think."
He motioned for Luxor to follow as he turned and jumped onto the next rooftop and started to walk across it. "We are awakened because there is a need yes, maybe the universe is satisfied with the few of us. There are likely more, just not many ... maybe we are doing a good enough job."
He stopped and looked up to the sky, "Do you send a lot of time there? On your wonder that is? Or even have you ever tried to leave it?"

Luxor could not really put a size on his wonder, since it was the only one he really was able to explore and had no frame of reference. To him, it looked like it was huge, but it had to share the space with other wonders, right?
He did not really know how it worked, but he supposed since he rarely asked questions of anyone, he did not learn too much.
He was okay with that.
Luxor followed after Shang, leaping from the roof to the next one with a decidedly bored look on his face. It was not that he was feeling bored, though: that was just his general facial expression.
"A good enough job?" he repeated thoughtfully, "I don't feel like I'm doing much, but maybe. I don't visit my wonder very often, no. But what do you mean, leave it?"

Shang kept a steady rhythm moving across the next few rooftops trying to cover a decent amount of ground for the evening even though he wanted to talk more with Luxor. He peered over the edges of the rooftop checking the ground and chatting, "well maybe a decent job is a better phrase."
"I go to my wonder quite a bit, its calming, but i mean have you ever tried to go past the boundaries of your wonder. There is more to Pluto than just your wonder, yes? I've never tried to leave, but I'll admit curiosity."
Shang looked around, "tonight seems like it will stay quiet."

Luxor would have to explore his own wonder more, some day. Maybe he could find some perfect place to relax... he was stressed quite a lot, after all. He hid it well, after all, since he did not show any emotions on his face at the best of times.
Ones that would actually give away his thoughts or emotions he worked hard to avoid.
"I've never tried to go past them, no," he said, thoughtfully. He was not sure if such a thing was possible, though there were other knights who had done it, and did know that some wonders, if not all, were connected in some way. Maybe there were special rules to the whole wonder thing, though, that Luxor hadn't learned yet because he... had not really tried.
Sighing, he nodded his head after they had bounced around and hunted for some Chaos related action without any avail.
"It does seem quiet. We might as well call it a night, or split up and see if we have better luck." Or he could go back to the carnival, and take care of the grounds again just in case.

Shang nodded, "I think one day I might try. Out of curiosity. I mean I think maybe it is something worth knowing."
Shang wasn't aware of the connection wonders could have to one another or anything like that. He was still learning even a a seasoned squire of sorts and figured knighthood when he reached wouldn't be the end to learning.
He gave a light laugh when Luxor mentioned that it did indeed seem quiet. "I think I will call it a night. I've got work tomorrow and if I'm lucky seeing as the night is quiet it will not be an overly hectic day. Quiet nights means the hospital isn't doubly busy."
He turned and headed off with a wave to his fellow Pluto knight. "It was nice to meet you Luxor. Hopefully we will see each other again sometimes."

"Have a good night," Luxor said with a nod, doing his best to offer a smile. His mouth managed to move up enough to be a completely straight line.
But at least it wasn't a frown!
He did lift his hand and wave back at the other Pluto knight. Though he did not show it, he was glad to have met another person who shared his planet, and was hopeful they would meet again.
There was an odd sense of kinship, knowing they at least shared a common source of power. Whatever that meant. Maybe they would learn interesting things, individually, and be able to share them together some other time? Luxor would do his best, anyway.
