It had been a couple of weeks now since the attack that had her captive and though the negaverse was quiet, Mintaka had been even quieter. For the first time, (besides visiting Antiope's world), She was back to patrolling.
And by patrolling, it really meant she was set up in a new side of town, away from Meggido's territory, and any senshi that would bother her, away from...Auro's building and from her own home.
Sure lugging around a tea set and chairs and table was heavy, but her body was showing less signs of the abuse she had faced, and her mentaility was going back to a stronger even more forceful goal of peace between her and the negaverse. Whatever they were after, she would do her best to give the information in exchange for their activities.
As such, she was just finishing the touches on her new set up, smoothing the table cloth when she felt the prickle of an aura, one she felt before but...stronger? Though to be fair, she was now an eternal so she must feel stronger as well. She pulled out the chair, began brewing the tea that Galena had last commented on liking and hoped the lady negaverser would be drawn to speak to her again.

Mintaka was a sight for sore eyes. When Lieutenant Galena had heard of the senshi's capture, she specifically avoided her cell. She had questioned the other captives, but not Mintaka. If she had her way, she'd be happy if Mintaka never knew she was even aware of the torture sessions. That she was an ignorant Lieutenant who had not been briefed or even given the opportunity to participate in such atrocities.
But she also wasn't Lieutenant Galena anymore. She was strutting onto the scene of Mintaka's little tea set in her new Captain uniform, and a much more confident way of carrying herself.
She'd have to field this as i came, she decided, tugging on the lace gloves at her wrist as she approached. "The smell of peppermint tea is always a great comfort in the cold winter air. How do you do, Mintaka?"

Mintaka set her cup down and studied Galena with a very small smile and somewhat hesitant shut down of real emotions. It wasn't Galena's fault in what so ever, but she had no idea what Galena had done as a negaverser.
"You look lovely as always Galena dear." Mintaka returned, gesturing for Galena to join her if she liked. "And I am well, better I suppose then I was a couple of weeks ago." She waved her hand. "I made this for you since you enjoyed it last time, I have some snacks if you'd like."
She paused as she pulled some out and really once overed the woman.
"You are a captain now, I am so sorry for my rudeness! Congratulations!" She gave another small smile, "We should celebrate!"

Galena responded to the compliment with a demure smile and a small bow, before she closed her approach and joined the senshi.
"What a compliment that you'd remember m preference, I'm glad to have you well, Ms. Mintaka," She said as she sat down. "Rumors have flown on the wind you suffered some misfortune, but it is not ladylike to gossip about one's welfare. How are you feeling? Or rather, I am pleased you are feeling better."
A measured show of sympathy.
"Thank you, my promotion has suited me," She preened. "But you don't need to trouble yourself with any celebrations, I am happy just to have encountered you again."

"Well enough Lady Galena, well enough." She sipped her tea quietly, studying the woman longer. It was hard not to be wary around the negaverse since her abduction, and she desperately wanted to pretend it was normal again.
But she would remember the way Jet's hands would reach into her chest and grab something more precious then her manners and normalness. Her starseed of all things. Something she hadn't been aware was so precious until now.
"Ah, I would suppose that it would be spread among to other Negaverse agents, but yes, recently I had some..." She let the tone drop a little, "Misfortune. Three of the younger lieutenants have come to my knowledge as ones to be avoided."
She relaxed slightly. "The pants are a nice touch Galena! I am sure it's much easier to move around in then a skirt." Her own skirt was frilly and loose, so it didn't matter much. "Do you like your new position? I've heard that captains gain a more powerful weapon. Lethal if you will. And um..." She waved a hand. "You can teleport now? I'm a little jealous of that."

Galena portrayed her best 'concerned' face and reached out one hand to gently brush against Mintaka's arm.
"Do you happen to know their names?" She asked, as if that would lead to any sort of retribution for Mintaka. She could at least continue her front that she was shocked and appalled by this operation she certainly wasn't a complicit party in.
"Regardless, I heard the White Moon pulled off quite the rescue mission. I am glad you are safe," She said, holding her tea cup to her lips. "I would miss our evenings together greatly."
She reveled in the peppermint tea for a moment, and then nodded. "I haven't tested it yet, but I have seen my fellow captains teleport. One has taken me on several trips with her, I am happy to no longer be a burden on her."

"I do." Mintaka sipped her tea, "But it's not for you to worry about, as I am sure you wouldn't be able to do anything. Whether you wanted too or not." Mintaka actually smiled a little in her teacup. "I look forward to my next meeting with the young one though. I've a few choice words for him." And perhaps she would finally let herself go and return the favor that Jet left her.
"That's what I heard, I don't remember quite much of it." Mintaka said carefully, "I heard it was a great affair, and that most of of the white court had been freed." Save for a couple she didn't know. The message from the guardian cat named Ash continued to replay. Missing senshi, yet to be found.
"Do you guys have a mentorship program then within the negaverse?" Mintaka quickly changed subjects, to distract herself and to learn more. "As, do you shadow perhaps generals or such? Or even captains?"

"We are assigned to those of greater rank for leadership and orders. Some assignments are more lax than others. And some prefer to be as hands on as possible," Galena mused as she sipped her tea. A few captains had been helpful in training her to be a useful officer, and now she had her own charge to look after. There were still higher tiers to climb, but she was no longer at the bottom.
She was starting to feel like her old self again, before being intimidated into the ranks of Chaos to begin with.
"And I do recall the information that the White Moon has no such guidance or structure. That is disappointing." Even if she longed for it when that structure felt more like a boot on her throat as a lieutenant.
"Captain Cinnabar and General Schorl in particular have been a wealth of knowledge for me. I hope to be equally as useful now that I am a captain myself."
The ugliness of the torture mission seemed to have been put to rest with shocking ease.
