 Heart racing and paws swiftly hitting the cold hard pavement, the young kitten darted down a dark alleyway..taking shelter in a tattered cardboard box. It was just in time too. Angry loud feet ran past..a cat catcher..he'd come to Dakota's small humans home to take her away but, the young kitten had struggled free. Then the chase was on! Whimpering softly the petite little girl pushed her dark black hair away from her face. After waiting for nearly an hour the little Scottish fold cautiously stepped out of the box, sneaking through the alley. Ears twitching she paused at one of the large silver cans, knowing sometimes they had good things inside. "Hungry.."

Noodle had been sitting on the roof of the building on the right side of the ally way that the human had chased the cat down. The Siamese mix watched as the human went off looking for the cat that Noodle had watched hide in a box. She smiled as she lay on the edge and watched the funny eared cat come out of the box and seem to check out one of the cans, she assumed for food. "Hey...HEY Cat with the weird ears. Want food? Can you find a way up?" Noodle said with a smile. Her thin tail flicking about as she watched the other cat and smiled. If she was nice maybe she could come to Mama....Denali would help her get food if the other was nice to Noodle and her mother. Denali loved kids she would be okay with this one too if she didn't have a family.

Jumping in surprise Dakota looked for the owner of the voice, gaze eventually meeting the other up on the roof. Frowning the young female reached up to touch her own ears..pouting at Noodle's words. "Not Weird! Hungry.." Stomach growling rather loudly she stretched her muscles, carefully picking her way up onto a few boxes..then up onto a dumpster before taking a quick leap through the air..her hands barely managing to grip the edge of the building. "Fall FALL!" Mewling and flailing Dakota just managed to make it up onto the roof's ledge..her whole little body shaking like a leaf in the wind. "Scary.." Now that they were face to face the little chubby cheeked kitten with the messy black hair, looked around for the previously mentioned food. "Food?"

Noodle watched her try to get up and she was worried for a few moments there that the female would not make it. But she seemed okay. She smiled as she sat up and cleaned her fingers before looking at the girl when she got there. Her own dark hair a mess atop her head, cut short around her ears. Giving a crooked smiled she pointed to the roof top building behind her that was her mother Casino. "In there. Mama will help. If shes awake. I'm sure i can find some before she wakes though. Come." she said as she pranced out to the doors and slipped inside, making sure the female was following. "I'm Noodle! Cause i have a skinny noooooodley tail...though my human liked to call me that too cause of a picture he used to draw a lot." she said with a shrug. "Come there's food here." she said pushing the door open to the kitchen and smiling as she searched about. "What do you want? Chicken? Bread? Mmmmm there's some Pizza too!" She said with a smile.

Dakota huffed once, smoothing her fur and hair out before scurrying after the new cat. "Nooodddllleeee.." Drawing out the name her folded little ears gave a strange wiggly motion. "Dakota Lynn.." Smiling shyly she couldn't help but, wonder who Noodle's mother was or what she might be like. Was it really okay to be up here in someone else's home? Part of her felt uncertain but, hunger won out . Mouth watering the Scottish fold couldn't pick so she simply took whatever Noodle held out first. Shoving the food past her lips, the little one bouncing at the yummy flavor. "Mmm!"

Noodle looked over the female as she handed her food. "Wow that sounds fancy. Mama Denali likes my name though...she'll like you too I'm sure. The casino is closed this early, mama doesn't have enough peoples to keep it open all day so it wont open till later tonight. Shes sleeping if shes not here drinking coffees...Mama Lana sleeps longer then mama sometimes cause she dances. I dance too. do you dance?" She said with a smile as she nibbled some cheese and bread as she watched Dakota keep eating.

Swallowing happily the little female gave a little giggle..cheeks turning pink at the question. "No no. Dance.." Noodle spoke so well and Dakota almost instantly felt a little bit of a bond..she'd never known her own family or what it was like to have siblings. Smiling more brightly and being more bold she moved to peek at more things in the room. "Momma? Never had a momma...only the mean big people!"

Noodle smiled at her as she ate her bread. "You don't know your mama? Then my mama might keep you if you want stay here." she said as she watched her looking about the kitchen. It was basic shelves with some cooking stuff all over. Jars of ingredients a fridge in the corner. A stove that was sized for their kind. Boxes of stuff that Denali's people had gathered or stolen. There was stacks of plates and cups all over. Noodle smiled as she waved the girl over. "This way. The fun stuffs back out here." she said as she went back through the doors. Around the bar and to the casino floor. Game tables were all over the area. There were dance/stripper poles in the far corner next to a stage. There was a spiral staircase in the other corner that went up to the living area. "See lots of fun stuffs!"

Dakota was uncertain but, being alone sounded very scary to the child like girl. For now she didn't say yes or no..instead the little one trailed after Noodle curious to see what fun things they had. The shiny poles and game tables caught her eye..but, new things were not always good things. "Fun? Momma is where? Can meet?" Shyly smiling her folded ears gave a nervous little twitch of movement. "Noodle dance's here?" Looking to the stage she moved closer to the other female, leaning into Noodle's side..hands reaching to lightly grab at her clothes.

Noodle smiled as she nodded. "Sometimes. Sometimes in my room or in Mama and Lanas room." She said as she wiggled and nodded. "Yes mama is here. She might be down soon. She is sleeping. Might be upset if I wake her up. So we sit and talk okay? While we wait for mama to-" She said before hearing noises and looking up to see Denali coming down. "Oh look there's mama!" She said & smiled as Denali walked down the spiral stairs, in yoga pants and a tank top. Her short hair brushed out but not neat like normal, her glasses on and eyes looking tired. Bare foot but, smiling when she saw Noodle. "Oh ma petie!" She exclaimed with a strong southern Louisiana accent meet French. "Who do ya 'ave there?" She said as she walked over and peeked at the little fold. "Little one are you lost?" She asked with a smile.

Wide eyed the chubby cheeked little girl peeked up at the pretty lady. This was Noodle's momma? She didn't seem like the other momma's Dakota had seen but, even at such a young age she knew not everyone was the same and that it was okay to be different. Just like her ears! Hiding more behind Noodle she shyly spoke. "A-a mean man chase me." Frowning sadly Dakota hugged closer to the Siamese..her tail swishing in agitation. "Hungry...scared..N-noodle let me in for food. I don't have no momma..or family.." Trailing off she looked down to her slightly dirty bare feet, wondering if the pretty lady would tell her to leave.

Noodle smiled at her mom as Denali looked at her with a smile. Speaking in French Denali asked Noodle if this was true and, answering in French Noodle told he how she had seen the human with the pole casing the little cat into the ally beside the casino trying to catch her and the little one hid. She called her up cause she looked alone and was looking for food. She told her everything else and that her name was Dakota Lynn. She smiled happily as she gently pushed the girl towards Denali. "Mama wont hurt you I promise. Momma is the best there ever was." She said with a grin. Denali smiled at the little girl and pet her head. "Dakota huh? Well ma Petite you are welcome here. Are you full now? Still hungry? Do you want to wash up? I'm sure Noodle has something you can put on so your clean." she said with a smile. "Welcome to the Casino. I am happy to have another little one running about." she said with a smile.

Looking up at her new found momma..the kitten smiled brightly..happily reaching out to hug Denali's legs. Purring softly Dakota spoke "Mama.." It was such a nice word. One that left a warm fluttery feeling in her tiny chest. "Bath!" She did feel quite dirty and wanted to make her new family proud. "Sino! Home.."

Denali smiled and purred happily. "Noodle go get her ready for the bath. I need ma coffee before I can be totally functional dis mornin'." she said as she hugged the little girl and pet her head. "Yes home." she said as she looked at Noodle and hugged her other daughter with a smile. "You did good ma petite." She murmured before, kissing her head & going to the kitchen to get coffee. Noodle took Dakotas hand and smiled. "Welcome to the family little sister!! Come I'll show you to the bath." she said as she took her upstairs slowly, cause the spiral stair case could make you dizzy sometimes, and headed down the hall.

Dakota was more than happy...she was a clingy little thing after that first day. Always trailing after Noodle or Denali..greeting new cats with a shy smile from behind her mama or sissy. She also often peeked down at the casino when Denali was working, curious as young ones often are. By the second week she felt totally at home..blended in among the casino as if she had been born there. Shuffling about on a sleepy Sunday morning the young girl hugged her new found treasure close. It was a pretty red ribbon..it matched the one around her neck. This one though she wanted in her wild untamed black hair. Peeking around she ended up in noodle's room..burrowing into her sisters bed. Poking her slightly cold nose into the crook of Noodle's neck as a greeting. "Nooodleee. "
