Kat frowned, oh dear.. poor children. All gettign sick. Hopefully no one else had that lovely case of lice.
Well. It was highly unlikely Chath had live, afterall he was much less furry than the other children. By alot.
She peered over his symptoms, okay.. not lice at all. She carefully set up the room, candy treats for good kids over here... yep. ...Yep. It was all ready!
Yes, Kat was the only doctor who actually met you in the room.

Jay looked down worriedly at Chath who listlessly held onto her hand. A rare sight indeed. In her free hand a srpay bottle she contonously misted over him to try and keep him hydrated. It seemed really hard to do since he had fallen ill. He held in his hand a water bottleclose to his face as if expecting to dash it all over himself at any moment.
When the nurse informed them they could go in, she lead Chath reassuringly into the doctors office. "Good afternoon." she announced and was a bit surprised to see Chath's teacher there. She didn't know Kat was a doctor as well.
Chath had protested in coming, he didn't wan tto go. Everyint spoke of needles and pain and besides the fact that he just didn't feel well enough to go.. His body was starting to feel 'contaminated' because of his low urine output. And he was always thirsty.
When Jay took him to the doctors he was uncomferable and wanted to go home. He had protested wearily that he wouldn't go in, but he found he didn't have the stamina to keep up a fight. When they finally entered the office he could only look up dully at the woman.

kat smiled, greeting the two warmly "Allright, You're really tired? How bout I help you up on the table here?" She smiled, carefully taking the boy to help him upon the table. Mindful of how scary doctors can be. And suprisingly Kat was nearly a doctor, only a nurse degree wise.. Still, she was good enough to take care of this.
"Hm.." she started the routine checkup. Most things seemed normal. Other than the slight stickyness to his skin.
Nothing the other woman hadn't determined... No fever. Nothing. "So... Obviously he seems dehydrated. You described all the symptoms, but I don't see anything to be the cause..." She pondered. The mother seemed to be taking extra precautions, she even had a spraybottle handy.
Kat turned to the boy, giving him a smile "Hm.. What do you think is wrong?" The adults didn't have anything, maybe the boy did! Afterall, he knew more about himself than anyone else.

Jayoku watched nervously as Kat looked over Chath and seemed to find nothing wrong with him. She clutched the spray bottle tightly as if afriad he might suddenly collaspe.
Chath on the other hand was a bit surprised to feel himself being lifted and placed onto a sterile table. Where he was then promptly checked over. This would be his first time meeting thie teacher/doctor. He gazed dully at her, he liked the color of her hair and in a haze reached out to touch it.
But when questions were directed at him he had to force himself to think properly. "I...feel...very tired..and very thirsty..." he hesitated before leaning in a bit and lowering his voice. "And I can't go pee.." he whispered hoarsely before he spurted out in coughing and had to take a drink from his water bottle.

Kat smiled softly, it was one of those.. cute sad moments. "Hm... Well we're going to fix all that." she nodded firmly, turning towards the door. "I'll be right back!" She smiled, heading out and around the corner.
Time passed as the girl looked for something... And though it seemed like a lot longer with not a thing for the two patients to do... She returned soon enough. Trailing behind her a labtech.
"I've allready explained everythign to him, it's not a medical condition. So it must be something special..." She nodded once more.
The labtech blinked, he seemed very ordinary with plain black hair and the simple d-corp labcoat and D-corp t-shirts. He ran a hand through his hair, frowning at the boy infront of him. "A newt right? Hm. Well, the first thing we need to do is fix the dehydration." he fidgeted, he wasn't a doctor by any means... And he had no clue how to talk to some living breathing organism. His eyes shot down the the floor, "You'll want to give him moist things to sleep on. Perhaps a damn sponge for a bed, and while he's dehydrated... You'll want to increase his water activity. Perhaps just stick him in a pool with fresh water and let him soak for a few days. He should drink through his skin... So, that should make up for excess water." The man paused, averting his gaze from the tile to the wall.
"As far as how it happend... perhaps too much sun exposure. One where we would get a sunburn, but a newt would fall ill. I'll... Talk to the other labtech about finding a solution for this. Somethign to help keep water in his skin for those kinds of things." Was that it? He mentally checked himself... yep. That was it! He gave a wave and bolted from the awkward social situtation.
Kat smiled as he left, giving a carefree wag of her fingers to him. "Is there anything else you need? Also... I can give him a booster shot with a solution to help the dehydration." She idly held out the little jar of loli-pops to the boy. "However, I don't think that would last long. So why give him a shot for just that?" She smiled, losing it breifly with a tiny frowm "I hate shots." she noted, no one seemed to like them though.

Jayoku shifted nervously while they waited for Kat to come back in. When she arrived with a tall dark haired lab technician she hoped that Chath's condition wasn't too serious. After hearing what he had to say and bolted out of the door she pondered for a bit. A sponge bed? most likely she would need to get a matress that was specially formed for those kind of things.
"Um....I was just wondering..." Jay started as she watched Kat offer Chath a lollipop after she had dimissed the idea of givign him a shot. "The lab technician said that what Chath was experiencing was similar to a sunburn...so if he goes outside should i put sunscreen on him? or could that make him worse?" she asked wanting to know everything before leaving.
Chath blinked lazily as Kat had left and come back with the Tech. The tech was scary to him, tall and dark haired and speaking so awkwardly. It seemed odd to him that he would avoid eye contact. But at teh same tim ehe didn't care, he just wanted to feel better.
When Kat mentioned a shot his eyes went wide with fear, his one hand shifted to his tail were he held onto his unconcoiusly. But then she offered him a lollipop... candy...he hadn't had a lollipop before... He built up the courage to reach in for the treat, but was quick as if afriad the treat was actually a trap. But after he had retrieved it he felt more relaxed though he wanted to eat it he didn't feel well enough to do so.

"Oh no, what he meant was if you stay in the sun for amounts of time you'll ge ta sunburn. With a newt however, their skin is different.. Instead of a sunburn they simply dry up." She nodded, hoping in teh back of her head that was what he meant.
"Newt's can breath underwater through their skin, making it a very thin tissue. They have lungs as well, but their skin is made specifically to breath underwater. Making it very absorbant and subceptible to chemicals, sunlotion would probably poison the poor boy..." she smiled at the cute little boy infront of her, her mind was off in a rainbow fluffy world about how sweet he must be when he's feeling well.
She shook herself from her thoughts and looked over the clipboard with this data "Oh, it says here D-corps planning to get you a special cream to help lessen his vunerablility to toxins. That'll be good! You won't have to worry as much!" She flipped through the pages some more, raising a brow at the interesting features the boy had.

Jayoku didn't like the idea of Chath simply drying up. A mental image of a Chath like raisin came sharply to mind. It caused a shiver to run down her back. "So we will have to be very careful..." she said rubbing her arm with her free hand. "Will soap also effect him?" she questioned next.
Chath was starting to like this lady, but the words she spoke made him a bit afriad. "Am I gonna die?" he asked a bit weezingly even as he faught to take the lollipop wrapper off. His attempt was futile as he felt too tired to do much about it.

"Hm. Depends on how much you use, and you have to be careful of the ingredients-" She dropped off at chath's question, spinning around to face him. "Oh no sweety! Just a few days of soaking and you'll be good as new!" she beamed, carefully plucking the wrapper from the sucker. "Promise to come play with me when you're feeling better, I have a classroom full of fun toys and all sorts of things."
She froned, poor boy needed a quick fix..."Oh!" she clapped her hands together excitedly "I have some special stuff in my classroom just for this, it tastes horrible.. but it'll give you a boost of energy. And you'll feel alot better. AND you won't have to get a shot! Sound good?" She beamed, turning to explain a bit more to the mother "It's specifically made to help babies recover from dehydration, vitamins minerals and lots of nutritional stuff designed to rehydrate quicker to prevent any problems. I'll be right back."
Once again she was out the door, hurring down the halls to fetch the drink.

She took note of what Kat had told her. SHe would have to be very careful with any skin care from now on. BUt at least fixing him up wouldn't be too hard, a good long soak is what he needed. She was a bit starteled by Chath's question about death but felt relieved when Kat had promptly taken care of it. Now she had hurried out of the room to go retrieve something to help him feel better.
Chath felt relieved when Kat reassured that he would be fine. He stuck the sucker into his mouth warily but soon was able to enjoy the sugary goodness that melted into his mouth. Not as good as slugs but still fiarly decent. He blinked dully as Kat hurried off to grb something that was to help him feel better. She said it didn't taste good...but it must be better than to get a shot. Taking the sucker out of his mouth he licked his lips. "Mama...canI play with her sometime? she is really nice." he asked before putting the sucker back in.
Jay looked to Chath and nodded her head breifly, at least Kat would know all about Chath's 'special problems' she saw no problem letting him go play in her classroom from time to time. "We will need to se tup days to do so, but only after you feel better." she said with a nod of her head.

Kat once again returned, carring several packets of drink. "Heres some to take home with you...And." she held forth a colorful cup with a milkshake like substance in it. "Here, drink all of this and I have some juice for you to get rid of the taste." she smiled, offering foreward the cup and holding onto the juice containing one.

Chath eyed the contents suspiciously but took the sucker out of his mouth and took ahold of the cup gently. He sniffed it wrinkeled his nose and looked to Kat who was offering him a smile. With a bit of a sigh he drank the contents down sputtering after doing so.
"YUCK!" he cried out as soon as he was finished. "That is gross!"

Kat smiled and nodded, passing him the juice to wash it down. "In a few hours you should be feeling back to normal. It's only temporary though, so take it easy okay?"

He nodded his head and took the juice awakardly with both hands. He down the contents and offered Kat a wamr fuzzy smile. "Nice lady, can I come play with you soon?" he asked as Jay helped him down off the table. He looked at the woman a soft blush covering his features. His tail wgged ever so slightly. Kat had been right he was already starting to feel better.

kat giggled a bit and nodded "Ofcourse! I'll be looking foreward to it." With that, she lead the two out and down the hall, giving a large wave as they parted ways.
