Chris was not as nervous anymore like she was the first time she entered into a contest with her pokemon. Backstage, she felt rather relaxed and stayed sat down with her pokeball in her lap while she waited for her name to be called. Instead of wanting to show off her Deerling again, she decided to dazzle the audience with her newly found Buneary. She opened up her compact mirror and applied lip balm onto her lips for the last time.

“…and what a show that was. Now, let’s give a big round of applause to contestant number six: Christina and Mochi!”

"Oh that's us!" The girl held onto her pokeball tightly and jumped out of her chair. She pulled on her shirt to tidy herself up before stepping out onto the wide stage. Just peeking out below her yellow shirt was her usual tight black mini skirt. Her hair was tied up and she threw the pokeball at a random spot on the stage as she summoned her Buneary.

Chris made quick polite twirl toward the audience and ran off to the side of the stage and watched her pokemon perform from the side.

The pokemon popped out of his cozy pokeball and comically splashed his way across the stage doing short bouncing motions with his body, his limbs flailing in the air, until he reached his spotlight area in the center.

Under the bright lighting, he bowed a deep 90 degrees angle and quickly picked up his microphone and ran to the music recording device that Chris had taught him how to use since he became infatuated with it the first time he laid his eyes on it inside Chris' room.

Mochi tapped onto a button with his hind leg as the recording began and sang out a smooth one tone sound and tapped the button again to replay it as he sang out another tone and recorded it too. He kept a graceful looking face as he gradually recorded all the different tone of sounds he made from his own vocal cords and made a song out of it. He was always proud of now being able to chime out the different tones he never knew he had in him.

With the fully recorded rendition of the newly recorded song, he put it on repeat for one full play and began to glide across the stage not far from his first act. There were two balls waiting for him on the floor. He picked them both up, one red and one green, into his paws and stood up on his hind legs. With it, he performed a quick magic act, as the green ball disappeared between his palm after tightly squeezing it. It vanished into thin air and he walked closer towards the audience, and sincerely showed the empty palm where the green ball once was seconds ago. The red one in his other palm remained in view for the spectators to see on purpose. On the full screen, he waved it in the air and used it as a distractor object while he drew in everyone's attention. He did not mind that his entire performance was being recorded on camera. With his free paw, he dug it into his right ear as if he was picking earwax out of it. He grinned a forced grin that looked natural on camera, and at last, when he retracted his paw, he was holding onto the green ball.

Mochi put down both the balls and made a deep 90 degree angle bow again.

With his last push of physical strength, he splashed his way back towards the microphone when the recorded song slowly came to an end.

He inhaled deeply as he picked up the microphone, stood up on his hind legs again, and let out a low purring sound as a way to say "thank you" to the crowd. He turned off the machine, put the microphone back down, and started to dart off stage. Chris made quick bow towards the audience and followed the Buneary close behind. They both disappeared behind the curtain and the coordinator let out a sigh of relief as the act was over and no mistakes were made.

"Good job Mochi! I'm proud of you." Christina picked up her tiny pokemon and gave him a long rub on the head.
