Irrohna was at a well, waiting for the bucket to come up with cool, fresh drinking water. It was a morning ritual for her, and she was pretty sure she would worship water for most of her life after living in Oba for a while. There was no sensation like the brush off cool clean water on lips chapped by the dry wind. She sighed with pleasure when she was able to take her first sip. Glancing around she caught a flash of hair that was very light in color, that was odd for Jatine. Curious she trailed after the woman. "Excuse me, are you from the north?" She asked, waiting with baited breathe for the woman to turn around. It would be huge to have someone else from places she recognized. She liked Oba but it wasn't tendaji.

Oba… Boy was the place hot! Aseara hadn’t expected such warm weather. As their caravans had gotten closer and closer she’d had to get new clothing since her old ones were much too warm. The new fabric she was given was much lighter except the style was not what suited her at all. Afsana too had agreed that what they’d found for her did not suit her at all and it would not do to keep her in those clothing either. They decided to make a pit stop in Jatine, both for the fresh water and to find something much more appropriate for the girls.
Afsana gave them each some coins and sent them on their way making sure they would be back at a specific time and location. While the other girls decided to stick together for their shopping, Aseara separated from them and decided to visit the city on her own. She’d been looking for some shopping districts when a voice drew her attention and she turned. As they’d moved closer to Oba, sightings of Earthlings had gotten very rare so when Aseara saw that the woman who had called to her was from the Leaf tribe she gave her a surprised ‘Oh!’.
“I’m from Sauti yes, are you from around here?”

Irrohna was very nearly bouncing up and down with excitement at the appearance of someone from..well if not exactly home...it was close enough that she would take it. She grinned until her face hurt. "Well I, not really? I was born in Tale and I'm out here on buisness, and let me tell you it is this city in particular that makes Oba a pleasure. There is a lot of fresh water here and I think I would shrivel if I had to stay too long in an area without a pool." She blushed at her weakness but her skin kinda dictated her comfort. As such she was most comfortable in Jatine. "I've been here for about three weeks with one unfruitful trip to the capital. May I ask what brings you down here? And if its not to much trouble do you have any news from the North? We are so far out here that only scraps tend to come in on the caravans." "If there is anything I can do for you in return I would be happy to oblige."

This was one very excited girl, though her suspicions were on point. Not many Earthlings about in Oba judging by her reaction. That meant that she’d be making a good amount of money from the Obans that didn’t go outside of Oba. Good, this was exactly the kind of thing she wanted to hear. The more money she received the more information she could buy and find her parents. That meant for nights practising and learning and pushing her abilities. The girl in front of her was briefly forgotten as her mind raced at the possibilities. Aseara returned her attention on her girl.
“Yea, it really is hot isn’t it?” She had to wear layers to cover her delicate light skin. “I haven’t had the pleasure of enjoying the water yet though.” Aseara found the girl still very pretty even if her skin was something she’d never seen before.
“I’m moving here for work. Well, not here, here but in the capitol. I’m a dancer you see and a lady was looking for dancers. I needed the work. What about you?” She’d said her trip to the capitol had been unfruitful but what was it exactly she was looking for? “And no news I’m afraid, but things have been calm.” That much Aseara knew since they’d encountered no trouble on the roads. Then again, they’d used the busiest roads so trouble was little where people were in groups. Maybe if she’d asked the others who drove the caravans, they might know more. Too late now.
“I wouldn’t want to bother you with anything really,” she wanted to enjoy the water but still needed to shop around. “I wouldn’t mind enjoying some of that fresh water you were talking about but I’ve also been tasked with a bit of shopping. My old stuff just wouldn’t do in this weather.”

"Well, I am an aspiring Treasure Hunter, Oba is supposed to have a shipfull of it. I;m not here to take the gold, I've just given myself the challenge to see it with my own two eyes." Kind of a self imposed trial of growth. It is my first job and so far from home, its a bit more complicated then I thought." Irrohna nodded. "Calm is very good considering the alterntives, but that supports the behaviour of people here, I assume that if something were to happen on the border that repurcushions would reach even here.' "Shopping you say? Well you are heading in the right direction. I have found a fair merchant who's prices are good and his clothes quality, its a bit of a relief considering the size of the market. I support myself with goods from home you see."

“That is an interesting career choice.” Aseara said as she mulled over the treasure part of what the girl had said. It was excellent news to her, it meant that she was going to be able to ask for such treasure and it was going to help pay for information. “If it is your first job and you are new to it I am sure you will get better over time. Just need to give yourself that time. Practice makes perfect.” Aseara certainly had that mindset down pat from her work. “I am training to be a dancer.” Not really anything as interesting as a treasure hunter, but she enjoyed herself.
It would not be a good day for any non-Oban to be in Oba if anything happened. “I hope it stays calm.” Aseara certainly didn’t want to get caught in Oba if another war broke out. It would also not help her to find her parents, probably even making it three times as hard to find them or find out what had happened to them.
Maybe having a treasure hunter help out with her shopping wasn’t going to be so bad. “I’m Aseara by the way.” The Wind girl extended her hand out. Usually she would have preferred to be alone, but if this girl could get some good prices maybe she’d even have some money left to get something she really wanted. “You bring in goods to Oba? What kind of goods do you work with?”

Irro took the proferred hand, "Irrohnaghal. I deal predominantly with items from Tale, I find that Zenan items are very well received here but living in Tale they are somewhat more difficult to come by. Mostly small trinkets, jewellery, items that only tendajians have access to like kinfa feathers and such. Its especially effective so far down here where the large merchant trains take longer to reach." "I like dancing, unfortunately I get a bit too embarrassed to do it too often." She dipped her head. "Although despite being from out of the country and a bit ..interesting looking, I've had a really good reception so far. A lady gave me cream because of the sun, apparently she had a family member who has the same mottling as I do."

“It’s nice to meet you.” Truth be told since Aseara had returned to her home village she had not done much travelling. She’d been too young to bother learning where they were as well. So when Irrohnagal started naming places, she vaguely knew of their existence but didn’t know any precise locations. She felt embarrassed by the whole thing really, but she listened none the less because it was interesting. “You must be making a good name for yourself. Do you plan on staying in Oba the whole time?” It would be nice to know that she may knew a merchant in Oba if she ever needed anything.
Aseara laughed softly, not everyone had the talent for dancing. “I have not felt any hostility either, only the few curious folk.” With her hair and eyes it was probably a little easier for Irrognaghal to blend in a bit more than she did. Personally, Aseara felt the merchant was still quite pretty. “Has the cream been helping? I have to admit, I don’t know much about products in general.” She’d never had to take care of her skin before and she felt asking the girl out right what was wrong was awfully rude.

"No I don't think I will be here my whole career but It might take me a while to seek out some of Oba's secrets I don't really have a timeline for it. Its kinda subject to my progress which can oftentimes be hit and miss depending on the quality of information." Irro smiled, "Yes the cream has been a life saver, my skin ..both types just can't take the sun without some kind of protection, cream or cloth. I was pretty crispy when I arrived, we get sun in Tale but there was usually enough shade to hide under when I started to turn more red then I would want." Come to think of it this lady was also very fair, "If your ever in need of the cream I'm told that the sand weed that grows around here is the basis for it, thankfully its not very rare."

“Ah, that makes sense.” Aseara wasn’t too sure what she meant by Oba’s secret, but Afsana had mentioned that sometimes patrons got drunk and were quite loose of the tongue. Maybe she herself would find out what these secrets were. “I wish you great fortune.” Many would not have moved to Oba was Irro had done for fear fo leaving home and living in a foreign land. Aseara commended her for it. They were similar in that sense since they’d both moved here for their careers, though Aseara was certain she would not be going anywhere else once she was properly settled down.
“Yes, the sun here feels like it is constantly beating down on me. Maybe I will get some cream just in case.” One could never be too careful, especially when talking about Oba’s weather. “So where is this merchant you were speaking about? Maybe we can find a bit of shade while shopping to cool down.” Which would certainly give both of their skins some time to relax and also enjoy the cool shade. Aseara was probably going to have to snag something to drink too, she was a little parched. From moving around in the heat.

"Oh yes he is just over there, conviniently beside the water vendor," Irro waved her new aquaintance over to view hte fantastic bolts of cloth. htey came in all olors including white and balk. he chatted with the merchant, he was middle aged with a young family, she introduced Aseara to him and he bowed respectfully to both of them. He didn't seem to mind at all that his customers were not Obans but that was a good thing for a merchant. He was middle aged with a young family and proceeded to show them both pictures. Irro let Aseara poke about, and did her own inspection of the items. There were a few new things and she bought some of the new red and gold cloth, thinking it would make a nice scarf or something then she went and grabbed some water. "Have you found anything that interests you?" She asked curiously, handing the girl a gourd filled with fresh water. It was clear and as cold as the vendor could make it. It was just the thing for a hot day. Irro drifted toward some tents which provided shade. Pity Aseara hadn't come across more gossip. The only gossip Itto had was her own and that wasn't very entertaining... it would have been if the lout had kissed her. But he hadn't so here she was.
