ɢᴇɴᴇʀᴀʟ ғᴇᴀᴛᴜʀᴇs ﹕﹕ Looks can be deceiving. For a woman in her thirties, Cixia appears to be rather youthful - if anything, she has the appearance of a woman in her early-to-mid-twenties: a face given to her through a blend of both proper care and fortuitous genetics. From her scintillating brown eyes to her lush blood-red lips, Cixia is in all respects one of the most alluring women anyone will ever meet in their lifetime... but judge not a book by its cover - for beneath the surface of her outer beauty lies a boundless expanse of talent, wit, strength and ferocity. As both a Professor for the Defense Against the Dark Arts and a formerly practicing Auror, Cixia's physique is at its utmost level, and while she may appear to be thin and frail on the outside there's a certain strength within that even the most seasoned of wizards and witches will find to be particularly remarkable.
ᴘᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ ﹕﹕ Among the most tangible qualities when it comes to Cixia's personality is the sheer coldness which she exudes to her students. Despite her overall beauty and natural charm, Cixia seems to have a veil of detachment about her that even manifests itself into a corporeal form. As a professor, the coldness that she exudes seems to change the atmosphere around her – so much so that at the best of times, students may merely be intimidated by her presence, and at the worst of times will find it hard to construct proper sentences or even breathe when being addressed due to the fear Cixia is capable of conjuring.
Choosing to don this persona for the greater good of her teaching philosophy, one that fully embraces the "tough love" approach to learning, and while she may outwardly seem like a villain to her students, the essence of her methods is pure and just. Cixia wants nothing more than to ensure the success of her students both academically, and post-academically in the "real world". Cixia’s true personality tends to shine through when outside of a classroom setting, where that hardened shell is removed to reveal a warm, caring and compassionate individual. While this side rarely comes through in her lessons, those who have the guts to meet with the Professor after-hours are exposed to that side of Cixia - the almost motherly side of hers - and those who manage to create bonds with the woman soon learn that she will always be there to help, regardless of who is asking and what the task is.
While during her days as a Slytherin Cixia may have developed prejudices against wizards of impure blood status, she has since shed such beliefs and encourages all students to work together, valuing teamwork over superficial and/or trivial matters. Given that outlook on inter-wizard relations, Cixia often finds interesting and unique means of punishment for those who outwardly display their prejudices against with regards to blood status in her class.

- xxxCixia was born to the illustrious Feng family, an old pure-blooded wizarding family originating from Beijing, China. Yet even as a second generation Chinese-born-Brit, much was expected of her by her parents. Growing up, Cixia never really knew the meaning of fun, nor did she ever really play with the other kids or fully 'live' during that period. Instead, she'd spend her time learning, reading, practicing... culturing herself in both the ways of the Wizarding World as well as learning more about the Muggle World and what it had to offer. In true asian-parenting fashion, Cixia was trapped, caged into her room, which only added fuel to the flame once her rebellious streak hit at puberty.
xxxIt was when she'd began her studies at Hogwarts that her life began to spiral. Clawing her way up the social ladder, Cixia came out on top fairly early on, establishing an almost clique-like group of friends that would later torment the school staff, and its inhabitants for years to come. Shamefully, Cixia was among the few that truly gave Slytherin House a bad reputation for being full of snobby, arrogant, better-than-thou people... Cixia admittedly ran a tight ship, and exercised her power as the 'Queen Bee' to its extent, going so far as to instill utter terror in her enemies simply by passing by them in the hallways. While now this is something Cixia completely regrets, the scarier side of her tends to show when, for example, things aren't working in her favor, or when she wants to make a point. Of course, despite her rebellious attitude and her tendency to skip classes and sneak around whenever there were more important things to tend to, Cixia was a star pupil, achieving top marks in all of her subjects thanks to rigorous studying in between bullying sessions, though after the summer of Fifth Year things changed for Cixia.
xxxAs she returned to Hogwarts in her Sixth Year, Cixia had become more reserved and withdrawn. Peers and classmates assumed it was due to perhaps a less-than-stellar performance on any of her exams, while in reality Cixia's life had been turned upside down following the murder of her father. Authorities were unable to identify any suspects, and it wasn't until Cixia took up the investigation into her own hands almost a decade later that the killer was found and put to justice. Of course, in her last two years Cixia lost more friends than she could have ever imagined, mainly due to her lack of interest in upholding conversations and even interacting with people. Needless to say, she had no one to celebrate graduation with other than her mother and other close relatives that were in the area at the time.
xxxImmediately upon graduation, Cixia had but one goal in mind - it was clear and simple, she would find who murdered her father at whatever the cost. Applying to become an Auror, Cixia would undergo three years of rigorous, challenging, and at times excruciating training, stretching herself to the utmost limits as she strived to not only finish the program, but to finish it with distinction. The three years certainly did pay off, and it wasn't long before Cixia reached her goals. After a successful career as an Auror, Cixia now dedicates her time educating others on how to protect themselves against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts - not only as a means of giving back, but also as a service to hopefully redeem herself for her first five years at Hogwarts.
