"That wasn't supposed to be said out loud...." Sven face palmed. Great, now Zeraki thought that he was a serial killer... or worse. It already took this much effort to bring him here and now he would try to run away again? How troublesome. It didn't help that Sven had a knife with him.

Now that they were at the waterfall, Sven placed the watermelons on the blanket that he somehow carried. Using a knife that he got out of who-knows-where, Sven cut open the watermelon. Unfortunately, some of the watermelon juice splattered... on Sven's face. "Don't... say... anything..." He was simply fuming as he stomped over to the waterfall and kneeled so that he could hopefully remove some of the stickiness.

'I don't wan't to die yet please (bleep) don't let me die" he thought to his self. being dragged to the water fall. Than he saw the knife, Zeraki looked panic stricken. His last meal watermelon and than he was going to die from being stabbed by Sven great.

However he started to calm down when he realized 'wait were on a blanket near a water fall and he's cutting up my favorite food... is this a picnic?....' He looked at Svens face and sighed. 'Sven wasn't that type of guy, he normaly just beats me up.' Zeraki thought this an he hadn't even realized it yet the other had let him let go of his wrists.

Well he didn't notice till the others face got splatered with watermelon juice. He watched the other walk over to the water and attempt to clean. He looked at the knife that was left laying there, he could just take the knife and stab the other when his back was turned... He picked up the knife and looked at it.

But as soon as that thought crossed Zeraki's mind he remembered the feeling, that helpless feeling of laying on the ground knowing you were going to...

He put the knife down where he had found it and decided against it. he never want Sven to go threw that. Zeraki sighed getting up off the blanket taking a napkin with him, he walked over to Sven, and knelt down next to the man and stared at the juice marks.

He really did like watermelon, he wasn't lying. Before Zeraki knew it he had reached up with his hand and touched the splatter marks with his index finger, getting the juice on it and put it in his mouth to taste it.

"Huh?" Sven didn't know what to think anymore. He was glad that Zeraki decided to be reasonable and stay in the area, but it didn't lessen the confusion. He continued to stare at the finger than he used to wipe away the watermelon juice. Washing away the rest didn't take very long, but it still seemed troublesome. He was worried that he would have to take off his shirt to reveal the scar that nobody close to him has ever seen before. He didn't really want to explain that mess.

"Thank you for staying. I'm really too tired to run right now." He wasn't joking, either. He's been on his feet all day and only got this break because of a stressful case that he had to participate in. His scar began to itch after thinking of these things. He reached for it... then retracted his hand immediately. As if touching it had burnt him. Despite all of this, he didn't want the other meddling in his personal affairs. (For now)

It shouldn't be so complicated...

"Here, have some." Sven said after returning to the blanket. His hand reached out, but he was looking elsewhere. His mind still on the past and his scars. Would Zeraki laugh at him if he knew that he wasn't always like this? Possibly. It wasn't likely that he'd find out, though. Not many people would have the gall to try and talk about his past... assuming that they even knew about it.

Zeraki followed the other to the blanket and sat down on it with the other he was grateful to have his wrist back and on closer inspection you could see sight bruising on it.

He waited till the other had cut the water melon slice and took it from the hand the man had offered it. He took a bite and blushed while looking at Sven. 'it taste so good' he thought.

Everything other than the watermelon and the fact he was staring at Sven's face. he ignored. he just really like watermelon.

Sven took a slice from himself, carelessly letting the juice drip down his chin. Being annoyed by this wouldn't stop him from making a mess, so he did his best to ignore it. Instead he focused his gaze upon Zeraki, who seemed more than happy with the watermelon that he recieved. That's good... very good. Hopefully this would occupy him for awhile.

He understood what Zeraki was going through even if he wouldn't say so. Sven's rough exterior would always cause problems for him when he was younger. He couldn't hold down a job and would always find himself getting into fights because of his face. They'd call him a gorilla or mistake him for a gang leader. It wasn't until he got his police badge that the ladder had been resolved. Somehow he doubted that they gave up on the first one. "The watermelons here are really fresh." He mused aloud without much of a thought. "Green tea would be good with this." He mostly said as a distraction. This was all a distraction... wasn't it? He got himself too involved with something again and got burnt. Only this time it wasn't quite as literal. Why did he drag Zeraki along with him during his recuperation time? What repercussions would there be for this once the sun descends beneath the horizon?

"It's going to be late soon, come back to my home with me. An inn would be too expensive. I'll let you go tomorrow... if you wish." Perhaps Sven simply didn't want to be left alone. Perhaps... that was it.

"I like the the feeling of crushing it. Thats why I like watermelon." and Zeraki said it with such a serious face after the other said it tasted good. "Pushing it against the roof of your mouth and having it disappear."

"If I stay with you, you'll let me go..." 'what kind of cop is this guy, i have blood on me and beat 4 guys up than trid to bite him!' he thought. he looked away for a moment starting at the watermelon finishing the pice up. He didn't get what this guy's game is, but it was nice. Was this like a date with the other?

He punched his self in the forehead hard trying to get the thought out of his head. There is no way this man would do that, but if he could get away for free tomorrow he would "Sure if I can leave tomorrow. Since it's the least you could do since you made me waste my money on a train tickit to brigs by draging me here old man."

"Also... your clothes. I have stuff for that." He really hoped that Zeraki wouldn't ask about that. He learned how to effectively remove blood from clothing from the fights he used to get in. He was also given the worst possible cases with the most violent criminals, so sometimes he'd come home from work drenched in blood. These cases were becoming more and more common with him. He wasn't sure why they kept assigning these cases to him, but work was work. "I'm off duty... and taking you home with me only to turn you in is far too underhanded." He said offhandedly.

When Sven wasn't looking Zeraki had now consumed 1/2 a watermelon with a muderous smilieing look on his face while he did so. He got to full to quick and laied down on the blanket undoing his vest. His stomach ended up hurting so he just played on his side on the blanket.

"I all ready said fine old man you don't need to explain you self." He was ready to go when ever. He looked out at the waterfall completely forgetting and going back to denying everything... though it was pretty..

Sven picked up the blanket and put the watermelon remains back into the bag. He folded the blankets and put them up. Using them was unexpected. He thought he packed them for no reason.
