The Xang Zou river slowly twists its way through mountain and plain, making its way through the Hanze Towns. The river is deep and blue, reflecting a mountain range on its far bank. Here, with the quiet water running slowly along, any Hanze can feel spiritually at ease while swimming, fishing, boating, or just relaxing with their feet in the riverbank...

The sun blazed, unyielding, as another sweltering day met young Tsukiko Shizuka. Under a canopy he worked at carving out another boat for his mother's business. He was careful not to cut himself as he ran the sharp took through the inside of the tree trunk, which was slowly taking on the shape of a rather large boat. It had been commissioned and, because of his hard work and expertise, Shizuka had been chosen of his six brothers for the job.
Sweat poured from his brow, but the river nearby was comforting as it lapped at its banks and whispered inspirational encouragements to him. Several boats were moored at a pier, awaiting any Haka who wanted to pay his mother a small fee to take them out on the river.
He was grateful for the canopy overhead; though he'd only been working a few hours, if the canopy hadn't been set up he would most likely have burned to death. His skin was so pale and so fragile that it would've taken very little sun exposure to burn him to a crisp.

The chocolate colored haka walked calmly along the bank of the Xang Zou river. It had been a long, tiring, day of window shopping at main street so the haka was eager to make his way home, though at a slow pace. He didn't want to get any hotter than he already was though it was always a bit cooler next to the water.
Tsukiko's raven black hair stuck to his skin. The haka knelt down at a point next to the river and splashed cool water onto his face. That felt really good but he didn't want to dawdle long so he stood up and continued on his way.

A young Gehaka had just gotten done with his work for the day. His mother was a quiet Haka who ran a carpenter's shop. Mabyn walked to the river swiftly, wanting to just relax next to the giant waters and have a peaceful moment. The day at the shop had been rather annoying.
A small knife was tucked neatly into his belt, for whitling, more than fighting. The blonde boy figured he could find a decent piece of wood and relax. His blue eyes closed, and he took a deep breath. Just some peace and quiet. No others, just him, the water, and some wood.
Opening his eyes, Taini looked all around, and his eyes fell on the choclate colored Haka. A swift swallow, was followed by a quick jerk of his head towards the ground. Just what he needed, another Haka. There had been one already today that had made him so angry...
Quietly, Mabyn tried to carefully walk around the Haka, biting harshly on his bottom lip. His knife, carelessly tucked into the belt, slipped and hit the ground. The pale Gehaka cursed quietly and picked it back up, stuffing it back into the brown belt, some how hoping the Haka hadn't seen or heard him.

The haka stopped moving and his ears perked at the sound of a knife hitting the ground and turned his head to see a blonde gehaka. "you should secure that knife better, one gay it can fall on and hurt someone" He said wuietly before turning his atention the the road ahead of him.
He then started to walk again, every so often looking back at the gehaka.

His mouth twitched, oh how he wanted to say something in return. How his mouth began to move, even as his vocal cords began to work. His mother always sworn up and down that he would never learn when not to put his foot in his mouth. "Right, I'll do that sir. So a Haka like yourself is never hurt." The sir was spoken almost sarcastily (for a Gehaka). And right after he spoke, His teeth went right back to biting his bottom lip.
Yes, he was afraid of most Haka, but after today, after another had hurt his own mother, all because their wood work wasn't up to "standards", Taini felt such anger. This Haka had nothing to do with it, was just merely the first Haka Taini had seen after the scene.

Tsukiko turned around and glared at the other. "I was just trying to help you. That knife coud later drop and hurt anyone, including yourself and other gehaka so you shouldn't evne talk like that" the haka said sharply, almost hissing but he didn't want to get into an argument so he started to walk again, only this time faster.

Taini realized what had come from his lips, all because of another Haka. Not even worthy of this one's beauty. When he had turned, Taini had been looking at him. The blonde cursed again under his breath.
"I...am truely sorry. That was wrong of me... my anger... sorry..." Taini had dropped to his knees, blue eyes staring down at the ground before closing. How stupid was he?

"there is no need to apoligize but you might need to think before you choose you words. Now get up, you shouldn't fall on your knees t o anyone." Tsukiko said, kind of harshly as he walked on. "Haka are equal to gehaka. It may not seem like it but that's the way I view things."

Taini's eyes snapped back open, and he looked up, confused. He had heard of no one like that...at least, out loud. Even his mother kept telling him to get married, and leave her be so she could stop pulling out all of her hair.
"...I've never..." Taini was very out spoken, at least among his fellow Gehaka friends, but he had never spoken more than two words to any Haka.
The tall blonde stood up, and took a few strides, following the other slightly behind him.
"You shouldn;t be walking by yoursellf sir..." Haka shouldn't be, ever. But really, Taini just wanted a reason to be near the other...and speak to him. Or at least hear what the other had to say. The raven haired Haka seemed to have an odd view on things.

"Please don't call me sir. Just call me Tsukiko. I wouldn't mind company but may I ask you for you name?" The haka said, looking back at the gehaka. It wouldn't be so bad to have the other tag along. The temperature started to cool as the sun started to set along the horizon. The next day he should probably bring a parasol with him to shade him from the heat but it's too late now.

"I...am Taini...Mabyn," The blonde followed the other quietly, slower since his legs were longer. His thoughts wandered as he followed. He cheeked his tongue to keep from biting it, and kept walking.
Along the way, he picked up a good chunk of wood. His left hand pulled the knife out of his belt, and slowly began to whittle away, trying to figure out what he'd make.

The dark-skinned haka smiled. "that's a very nice name. I like it." He said casually and looked to see the other whittling away at a chunk of wood. "you're a carpenter's son right? correct me if I'm wrong but I think that it's a good skill, to be able to make beautiful things out of a regular piece of wood"

Taini nodded even as he walked and whittled. "Yes, my mother loved to carve, and married a few Gehaka who had a natural ability for it... I seem to have it as well." The wood chips fell on the ground. Slowly, a basic shape began to form. Taini recalled the face he was carving, and the figure as well... it was really not that hard to remember.
"And thank you, its not easy being 'eternal moon' " The blonde scoffed a bit, still wondering why his mother had named him that. It was weird, talking so easily to a Haka.

"I don't own any business yet, but I plan to in the future. My mom gave me a house and he wants me to hury up and marry some gehaka already but I want to fall in love with at least my first husband but oka-san doesn't believe in love..." Tsukiko said and realized that he was rambling. "well, enough about that, do you belive in love?" He asked the gehaka curiously.
