If you have a great idea for an item but don't see it, or one similar, listed here you may post it in the [ SUGGESTIONS ] forum! If we like the sound of it it could be accepted and made into an official shop item~

AN INTRODUCTION TO ITEMS
Items in the shop are somewhat rare things that can be used for battle, enhancing your Monsters abilities, or during Breedings. A few can even be applied to Customs.
Most items can only be found while Battling but it is possible to find some during Exploration as well!

Item Rarity
All items have a rarity indicator which determines how likely it is to appear in the shop.
Items can be discovered via : sales in shop, Games, Flash Battles, Boss Battles, and Exploration.

After winning a Game, or Battle, for instance, a player would roll 1d100 to determine the category of item they will win. Items available for each Game or Battle are pre-determined.

For Exploration the exact method has not yet been determined.

    Seasonal, Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Very Rare

    Games
    Common :: 80%
    Uncommon :: 17%
    Rare :: 3%

    Flash Battle Drops
    Common :: 70%
    Uncommon :: 20%
    Rare :: 8%
    Very Rare :: 2%

    Boss Battle Drops
    Common :: 55%
    Uncommon :: 20%
    Rare :: 15%
    Very Rare :: 7%
    Legendary :: 3%

    Exploration
    Common :: 70%
    Uncommon :: 20%
    Rare :: 8%
    Very Rare :: 1%
    Legendary :: Roll 1d100 if you get a Very Rare item, if you roll 91 or higher, it's Legendary.

    Seasonal Drops
    Drops by all means. Typically will take the place of a Common item and tend to be a bit better than a Common item.

    Exclusive Drops
    Found only during special events


Trading Items
It is possible to trade items between players. This is a simple process.

    1. Ask about trading an item. The trade MUST take place in the plotting thread where both parties agree by written consent.
    2. If the trade is accepted please have ONE of you post the appropriate form in the ITEM CLAIM thread.
    3. You may trade however you like, whichever items you like. This is completely up to players!
    4. Note that you do not officially own an item until the request is completed and the items are added to your inventory. This goes for all items, not just trades.

Status Effects
For information on what specifically a Status Effect does, such as Stun, please see the [ Special Abilities & Status Effects Index ].

Terminology

- A "Cooldown" is the time it takes before an item can be used again in a battle or in the shop in general.
- A "Consumable" is an item that will disappear after it is used. Most items are consumable but a few are not.
- "Non-Consumable" means this is an item that either does not disappear and can be used again. May have a Cooldown.
- A "Collectible" is an item that serves no real function other than as a prize in and of itself.
- Some items may apply "Status Effects" on a Monster. Read more in the "Complete Guide to Battling" thread for how these work in battle.

HEALING ITEMS
Healing items specifically restore HP to, or ease Status Effects for, your own Monsters or to allies.


COMMON
  • Small Serum Bottle :: Restores 5 HP to Self
  • Cracked Serum Bottle :: Restores 1d4 HP to Self


UNCOMMON
  • Med. Serum Bottle :: Restores 8 HP to Self
  • Small Restore Field :: Restores 3 HP to two allies
  • Jelly Shield :: Absorb 2 damage next turn


RARE
  • Large Serum Bottle :: Restores 30% HP to self
  • Med. Restore Field :: Restores 6 HP to two allies
  • Heal Ring (blue) :: Restores 4 HP to Self and two allies


VERY RARE
  • Glowing Serum Bottle :: Restores 50% HP to Self
  • Large Restore Field :: Restores 20% HP each to two allies
  • Heal Ring (gold) :: Restores 8 HP to Self and three allies


LEGENDARY
  • Infinity Stone :: Revive self with 50% max HP if fallen


SEASONAL
  • Candycane / Chocolate / Popsicle / Candied-Apple :: Restores 5 HP


DEFENSE & ARMOR ITEMS

Defense items block damage directly, or increase a monster's AC temporarily (or while worn).

Most worn items (Armor) will have its own durability stat and can take a set amount of damage before it breaks.

UNCOMMON
  • Thick Fur :: Increases AC by 1 until it breaks (durability 12)


RARE
  • Boiled Leather :: Increases AC by 1 until it breaks (durability 25)
  • Hard Shell :: Increases AC by 2 until it breaks (durability 15)


VERY RARE
  • Metal Helm :: Increases AC by 2 until it breaks (durability 25)


LEGENDARY
  • Adamantine Armor :: Increases AC by 3 until it breaks (durability 20)

DAMAGING ITEMS (Weapons)
Weapons are items which are used to deal damage to, or induce Status Effects on, the opponent.
Damage is applied AFTER base damage and Crit Bonus (if any) are applied.
Status Effects last two rounds unless stated otherwise.

Normal attacks may still be used, in addition to the item, unless stated otherwise.

COMMON
  • Extendo-Claw :: Deal +1 damage
  • Spike Helm :: Deal +1 damage
  • Neon Bomb :: Bright smoke explodes outward. 20% chance of Confusing the target. (roll 1d20, 1-4 is a hit)
  • Bottled Scream :: The bottle emits a jarring scream when broken, shocking 1 opponent into Silence if successful. (Roll 1d20, 1-8 is a hit).


UNCOMMON
  • Ground Spikes :: Deals +1 damage to up to three opponents
  • Toxic Blob :: 20% chance to Poison an opponent for 2 damage for 2 rounds (roll 1d20, 1-4 is a hit)


RARE
  • Sonic Screecher :: 30% chance to Stun an opponent (roll 1d20, 1-6 is a hit)
  • Acid Spray :: Weakens an opponents armor, making them 20% more Vulnerable to damage.


VERY RARE
  • Mirror :: Return 50% of damage from last round onto your opponent this round.
  • Elemental Shard :: 20% chance to Freeze, Burn, Stun, or Poison an opponent - your choice. (Roll 1d20, 1-4 is a hit)


LEGENDARY
  • Vial of Pure Stardust :: Clears all Status Effects on a field, beneficial and harmful.
  • Radioactive Plasma :: Burns a target for 20% of total HP, and Poisons them for 2 damage per round for 1d4 rounds.

TEMPORARY STAT BOOSTING ITEMS
These items will boost a stat up by a certain amount for a limited time.
Once the effect wears off the Monster's stats go back to normal.
Effects are applied before the Crit Bonus (if applicable).

UNCOMMON
  • Small Critical Booster :: Add +1 to Critical Chance on your next turn.
  • Small STR Booster :: Your next attack does +1 damage if it lands
  • Small DEX Booster :: Increases your AC by 1 for 2 turns.
  • Small HP Booster :: Have a temporary pool of 4 HP, lasts until it runs out.


RARE
  • Med Critical Booster :: Add +2 to Critical Chance on your next turn.
  • Med Strength Booser :: Your next attack does +2 damage if it lands
  • Med Dexterity Booster :: Increases your AC by 2 for 2 turns.
  • Med HP Booster :: Have a temporary pool of 8 HP, lasts until it runs out.


VERY RARE
  • Large Critical Booster :: Add +3 to Critical Chance on your next turn.
  • Large Strength Booster :: Your next attack does +4 damage if it lands
  • Large Dexterity Booster :: Increases your AC by 2 for 4 turns.
  • Small HP Booster :: Have a temporary pool of 15 HP, lasts until it runs out.


LEGENDARY
  • Large Critical Booster :: Add +3 to Critical Chance, and Critical hits deal 2x damage.
  • Large Strength Booster :: Your next two attacks deal +3 damage if they land.
  • Large Dexterity Booster :: Increases your AC by 3 for 4 turns.
  • Small HP Booster :: Have a temporary pool of 20 HP, lasts until it runs out.


SEASONAL

PERMANENT STAT BOOSTER ITEMS
These items will PERMANENTLY increase a stat, generally by 1 point.
Some items will also grant BP or SP points.

COMMON
  • Sweet Fruit :: This refreshing fruit boosts your Monster's energy! Gain 1 BP.


UNCOMMON
  • Terrifying Plushie :: Your Monster attacks it and gains +3 BP.


RARE
  • Rainbow Root :: It has a wonderful flavor, like life itself. Total HP increases by 1 point
  • Animated Doll :: It attacks, but doesn't do much damage. Your Monster gains +5 BP. Nice!


VERY RARE
  • Stone of Strength :: Permanently increase STR stat by 1 point
  • Liquid Life :: Permanently increase your total HP by 3 points
  • Quicksilver :: Permanently increase your DEX stat by 1 point


LEGENDARY
  • Radioactive Cherry :: Puts a pep in your step! Roll 1d4 (1 nothing happens, 2-4 you gain 1 SP!) Woop!
  • Mystical Meteorite :: Add 1 stat point to your SPECIAL stat.

BREEDING ITEMS
These items may be used to increase the chance for a larger clutch, or for hybrids.
Some items may have strange effects on offspring.

RARE
  • Weird Bottle :: Some guy gave it to you... (randomly adds a color or trait to a breeding)


VERY RARE
  • Fertility Token :: Automatically add 1 egg to a clutch
  • Radioactive Water :: Increases the chance of 1 egg being a hybrid by 2%


LEGENDARY
  • Dark Plasma :: Increases the chance of each egg in a clutch to yield a hybrid by 5%

These items must be used at the time the Custom is ordered, not after.

VERY RARE
  • Discount Coin :: 25% off your next Custom Order (participating vendors only).


LEGENDARY
  • Legendary Token :: Makes an Original Species a Legendary Ranked Monster
